- MacBook Air M1 space grey unboxing in 2022. This is my unbox and first impressions of the MacBook Air M1 in space grey color. I decided to buy Apple's MacBook M1 (2020) version instead of their latest MacBook Air M2 chip laptop because the M1 chip version seems to be better value out of the two for my laptop needs, and I'm going to be mostly using it for video editing.

lve had my m1 MacBook air since February and its a pretty good computer, at some point I do plan on getting another one with higher specs, cause I got the one with the base storage and memory

I’m selling my early 2015 Air, because the storage is full and most of all I absolutely hate the non Retina display.
Back then it was not an issue, but since we’ve become so spoiled with all the super detailed screens, I’m just not taking it anymore.
I always hate apple for saying “this new laptop is better then ever, it’s THE one you MUST get”
So I was a little hesitant to go for the M1, just because of that.
But I’m just using it for school (that’s just essays and such, no difficult video or sound editing )
Did I just save myself (in my case euros) €420. Or should I have gone with the M2?
Normally apple supports their MacBooks quite some years with compatible iOS’es right?
The MacBook Air M1 should be more than sufficient for your usage, so I would advise to go for the M1. The Retina display on it is very good too. The default storage is 256GB SSD but there higher storage options too up to a maximum of 2TB.

Hey they say finger prints are more visible on space grey than silver,is it true?
I don’t notice any finger prints on this space grey laptop and I use it every day.
How you got this 3 pin adapter? I got the one with 2 pins.
I live in the U.K. so we get the 3 pin version to connect to our 3 pin mains voltage sockets but in the U.S. they use the 2 pin adapter.

Thanks, I guess it depends on your needs but I'm more than happy with my purchase of the MacBook m1 Air with 8GB memory which I'm using for video editing in PowerDirector 365 and compared to my old ASUS laptop which had intel core 17 it's at least 20 x faster at rendering a 4K video and completely silent. I also connect the MacBook m1 Air screen via HDMI cable to my 24" Dell screen to get a bigger screen when I'm editing.

@@Andriyapps I'm sure you will be fine with the MacBook m1 Air then as those are not heavy demand applications. Also if you buy from Amazon they give you a chance to return it if it's not suitable .
