Wow the way that you responded twice, insisting that you don't like that particular leaf is soooooo Vietnamese i'm dying laughing. I guess you learn that from your wife.
please do more videos on living in da nang. I was born in da nang but immigrated to American and never had a chance to return back to vietnam. i love content showing the more normal lifestyle and local spots rather than all the tourist spots.
"Flora and Note" did a video on there recently and Flora, who comes from a culinary background said the seafood restaurant they ate at was the best food she ever ate.
I have been in many places of Vietnam and other countries, I love Saigon too anh ơi. The hustle and bustle, endless tasty meals, super convenience with friendly people
Vietnamese culture is too polite, we never say we dislike fish mint. We say " khong biet an fish mint" which translate into " I dont know how to eat fish mint" opposed to saying I hate fish mint lol
I love banh khot, but many places in HCMC make them like mini banh xeo...I prefer the ones that have a crunchy outside and more custardy/soft inside vs the ones that make it thin and crunchy with no real creaminess to it. The ones I grew up eating in Laos were filled with ground pork mixture and lots of beansprouts...I loved eating it as a kid.
@@mercce6750 I didn't google the origin, it might be a Vietnamese dish as although I was born in Laos, I am ethnically Viet and the town/village I lived in was full of Viets so we'd eat Viet food more than anything else.
i saw you put the dji wireless mic on the table do you get low sound from the mic because the one I got that came with the creator pack and the sound is very low even when clip to my shirt
@@yeschefwithchadkubanoff I hated it when I was a child but got used to it when I was a teenager. We have it here in SoCal at Vietnamese supermarket but it’s not as aroma as the one in Vietnam. The Vietnam’s version is better 👍🏽.
@@yeschefwithchadkubanoff It's okay, I've lived for decades and still have nightmares over the fish mint. But they say you have to try things 7-8x before you learn to tolerate or like it...yeah, well, I'm still getting over the childhood trauma that is fish mint, mam tom (cooked in, I'm okay with, but as a dip, nope), and bitter melon. LOL
Why didn't the second restaurant give them the scissor. You have to cut half of the Bánh Xèo or more so that you can put Banh Xeo into the rice paper and eat it easier
Exactly what I was planning to write 😂 Also google maps link to the exact location would be great as many times the best places to eat are located in the alleys and the street address system is quite confusing some times even for the locals. And opening times to at least know if they only serve in a limited time of a day. Good promotion for all the places. Thanks for all the videos❤
I understand your love for Saigon, it’s a special City.
I love it
Love your videos Chad!! Hope to run into you when I come to Saigon in July 😯

Is chad a chef? The way he talks about food is profound. I like his videos
I was yes, but I’m not running a professional kitchen at the moment. I’m glad your enjoying the content 👍

You need to know vietnamese , many vietnamese people will love it

I dislike it!!
Oh, my family has no issues yelling "khieeeepp" when they don't like something.

Huh, I thought Banh Khot was a Vietnamese dish only but now I'm interested as to what the Laos version could be like.

I wonder why you two have matching color shirts
I don’t like rice paper when it’s hard and crunchy; I prefer it moist and soft. The lettuce and other vegetables give the best crunch.

awesome content mate ! keep it up !
Thanks, will do

Finally he he found something he doesn’t like to eat I think it’s fish leaf😮😊
Rau Dấp cá is good bro. It will take sometime to get used to it. It’s very good herb to eat with Vietnamese foods.
I know it’s healthy, hopefully I will like it eventually

Rau diếp cá, tôi khoái ăn nó😅
Yoooo I hate that herb the most out of all. My Viet friends love it but no matter how many times I’ve eaten it, never liked it.

Whats the address?
Hello 👋
Xin chào
Can you connect me with your guide. I would love to book her for my upcoming trip
😀✌️
Really? How can you eat the rice paper dry!? You don't wet it?
