Thank you thank you thank you! Got a white one for $25 from an ebay lot and a dog had bit the hell outta the screen. This video was a lifesaver, especially the fact that you took the time to show reassembly. This is the best PSP Go repair video on the net.❤️🙏
Thank you so much man! This was the best and most detailed guide I've ever followed in my life and my psp go looks almost like new! (I need a new plastic too 😂)
Saved alot of cash for fixing mine myself with the help of this vid. Thanks! Also just wanted to share that be careful on reconnecting those ribbon wires and the battery, make sure you dont push too much or too less because when I assembled mine for the first time, the start button and the battery didnt work but I redid the connections and its now working smoothly. Cheers!
Thanks for the video, I just bought one with a dead line across the top quarter of the screen and a replacement comes tomorrow, so I'm glad this is a fairly easy fix.
Thank you very much. My PSP Go has been sitting in a drawer for about 7 years because of an unfortunate accident where the screen got broke. I was able to follow along with your video and replace my screen and now it works.
@@ZealousChuck very next thing I did after I realized after such a long time in storage all my data had become corrupted and the wifi wasn't compatible with my router to recover my stuff from PSN so I got the Pro-C Infinity CFW now 😀
Wow! my husband got PSP go too but he has white one though. He got it since 2011 that's why I was able to play it sometimes..haha..He doesn't have issue with the screen coz he is very careful with it..hehe..nice content anyway! thank you
Thanks :-) I ve got white one too somewhere but I wasn't able to find it , that was my first one. Then I bought black one with broken screen for cheap and I ve fixed it 😉 Psp go is great, just shame sony isn't making new one 😉👍

Hey man I appreciate the video I know it’s been a year now but would you have any idea how to tighten the sliding mechanism on the go? When it is scolded the top screen still wiggles
It is some cheap brand called amtech, i think i bought it at the Tkmaxx, But I like it, it is pretty reliable and u dont really need 50$ set to take something apart 😀
hi, i have one psp go that works but: the bright button and - down volume btton dont work. And the slice mechanism is half separated from the rest .it can be fixxed?
hi, I changed my screen and I had the power led that turned on and off, I removed the new screen once again, but it remains off and I can hear the sound, I put it back on the old screen and the same remains off, is it coming from the screen connection cable or possibly a blown fuse ? any idea is good :) thanks
It is more likely the ribbon cable connectin the lcd and the motherboard but u never know. I have had similar issue..screen was working fine..then I didn't use it for like a 6months and after I switched it one the screen didnt work but leds n sounds were so I knew it is the something with the screen..then I let it sit again and next time I tried it worked fine..and it is still working fine so I never found out🙃
I dont really know but I had also issue with backlight and it wasnt coz of fuse i think it was coz of the ribbom cable that connects motherboard and lcd
I am not sure bro, I ve found cheap one at.my local cash converters..but that is pretty rare, in cex they cost like 80. Just keep checking local fb marketplace ,shpock or anything similar I guess. You can also do same what I did..buy.broken one and fix it 😁
Well me on the other side I am taking things apart when it is already broken 😁 and I'm trying to fix it but i think it is fun either way, keep taking apart mate 😃✌

Im.not.really sure but I believe there is the spring that makes it come back.and forth so.I guess you would need to change it or just leave as it is👍

Thank you for the video, i replaced the screen but same thing green light and screen is off, i have no idea what it could be 😩
Maybe fauly screen or you damaged it
@@ZealousChuck i flashed a flashlight and i could see the screen working, i guess it's the backlight fuse
Do know the backlight fuse location?
I dont really know but I had also issue with backlight and it wasnt coz of fuse i think it was coz of the ribbom cable that connects motherboard and lcd
Would you suggest this for a screen with stains in it? I think it’s water damage
Yes
You weren't joking about that annoying volume control ribbon cable🤬🤦♂️. A nice pair of electronics tweezers saved the day!🙏
