👉 Just so you know, no one in Michigan calls it Belle Island. It's Belle Isle. Smalls is a goth industrial spot with bands playing there from time to time. As you mentioned, it's a great spot to get robbed. I also know someone in a band who got mugged there. One thing about Hamtramck, there's a bar on every other corner, even in the middle of residential neighborhoods. Glad you got to see the Packard plant. I went to a few Raves there back in the 90s. My band took photos inside the abandoned train station (1999) and it is amazing that they have been able to restore it. I really didn't think it could be saved. BTW, part of Transformers 3 was shot at the train station. You were right in Mexicantown. I hope you got to see it. So many amazing places to eat there. Lots more to see in Michigan outside of Detroit too. Hope you get the chance to venture out to other areas and if not, get in touch when you come back this way and I'll be happy to give you a tour. 👍

Banksy did an art project in the Ford plant but it was stolen shortly after. Great video! Always awesome to see Scott, you guys make a great team. There are so many amazing thing in Detroit that I would love to see myself one day. The Gordy mansion was quite impressive. That guy got an absolute steal on it as he only paid $1.6 million. Check out pics of the inside - it is mind-blowing.

I watch these from Australia and obsessed with Detroit's history and decline, and now rebuild, but the anxiety definitely kicks in. Can not imagine growing up there. Seems such a scary city.

Good vid, guys. I'm from Detroit, and some of the places that you've shown in this vid, I haven't been in a long time, because of a lack of transportation. Thanks.

I use to serve dinners on 4th Sunday to the less fortunate. I miss seeing the people and conversations. The Bishop I served with passed away. We served there for about 8-10 years and NSO for about 20 plus years.
