YES AND THANK YOU!!!.
Queen is truly the best, brother! It's basically Brian, Roger, and Freddie in the chorus.
This song finds a young lady coming of age & leaving the nest. Brian asked Freddie to play the piano during the recording because of his perfect timing & rhythm sense! FYI - the song inspired G n R song “Sweet Child Of Mine”, which was, in turn, a song to Axl’s then fiancee (daughter of an Everly Brother). Axl would begin Sweet Child Of Mine by singing a few lines of Sail Away Sweet Sister a cappella.
Did not know that!
David-your Queen reactions are the best. This song has special meaning to me as I lost my sister to suicide. “Hot child don’t you know you’re young you got your whole life ahead of you? You can throw it away too soon-way too soon. “. It’s also creepy because the song before it on the album is Don’t Try Suicide. Queen has a song for every situation in life. The bass playing by John at the end blows me away every time I hear it - captures the feeling of the song so well.
Hope you you feel better soon!
So sorry for you
Love this song…..Love your Queen reaction…
Mate, absolutely loving following your discovery of all things Queen of er the past 3 years you remind me if being the young lad who discovered these albums as they appeared in the record shop Keep it up, it keeps me young
Hey David! Welcome back! Love the hoodie... gotta stay warm and fuzzy any way you can...
Since you're taking requests now, how about a Brian May "Van Halen-style finger-picker" by doing "Resurrection", such a great riff... or maybe "Another World", another May classic to celebrate the knighting of Sir Dr. Brian May... blessings and get well soon.
Ah David your spoiling us two reactions in two days I’m going to be greedy now but can we have more you look really well by the way take care good to have you back x x
Your videos help my mental health. Hope to see you soon.
Hi David sorry to hear your anxiety is not good take care ❤ great reaction as always x
Awesome. I love your Queen reactions! Sir Brian has such a beautiful voice! It's interesting that Brian was an only child, while Freddie, Roger and John all had sisters. Thats why Sir Brian was so close to Freddie, Roger and John, they really were a family and became each other's brothers from different mothers. In fact, during the Rhapsody Tour and at other concerts Sir Brian would introduce Roger as his "brother and best buddy/friend". Sir Brian even made a surprise appearance at one of Roger's solo concerts and Roger introduced him as "my brother from a different mother!" I definitely hope you react to Sir Brian's solo work!
Very nice song. As always great reaction.
"action this day" live at Milton Keynes 82'
Another of Brian's songs that I really like where Brian takes the lead is Sleeping on the Sidewalk. You might want to give that one a listen if you haven't already heard it. By the way, love the hoodie.
Good suggestion!
Mate the camera work is crystal clear, great reaction as always. Sorry to hear that your anxiety is all over the place. I will send you a DM. We miss you pal ❤️
I agree with you. That's what I love about Freddie, too...very supportive of the band...always highlighting their achievements...especially with John who he always encouraged to write songs. Thank goodness John took his advice....several #1 hits for Queen because of John! Great reaction to this gorgeous song by Brian...to my mind, he is a true genius on many levels and the way he plays that guitar...WOW...right up there with Jeff Beck for me. (I think Brian and Jeff wouldn't mind sharing that place in my heart with each other - they were good buddies after all. Rest peacefully, Mr. Beck.). If you haven't done so already, you might enjoy "Bijou" from the Queen album, "Innuendo". Brian's guitar, Freddie's short, but powerful vocals...I believe that Queen Official only released a studio version. I get goosebumps from that song. Love your reactions.
Oh Yeah Sweet tune David an Love ur Green Grinch Hoodie sorry to hear about ur Anxiety, yeah I suffer with Anxiety myself an even been a bit Depressed ready for Spring an summer 🌞 keep Rocking David an we will Jack it Back 👑🥇💘❣️🌹🎸🔥👋🤔🤩😍😎🤠♾️😉
What? Wait...another? 2 in 2 days?! Not that I'm complaining! 😃 Thanks for another great reaction David 👍🏻 Oh, and I could be wrong, but I'm sure I heard a dog whistle in those harmonies!
That just gave me a chuckle... Roger and his 'dog whistle' voice.... 😊
Hi dave thanks for doing this, chin up bro you kick the anxiety in the arse, channel it this way, queen and all of us are here for you bro, look forward to seeing you soon with another banger from Queen.
Always love this sweet old fashioned song… sounds so heart-felt. Can’t believe I’ve seen you do two Queen songs in a row✌🏼😂

So great to see you again, great reaction loved it ❤
You got it going. Jack that back, want to see you every day😊
I've been listening to Queen for around 10 years at this point, still my favorite band, listen to some (or a lot) of Queen basically every single day since I discovered them, I know their entire catalogue, B-sides, demos, live shows, and their solo work, front to back. I play multiple instruments too, so my ear tends to be quite good with Queen now. To answer your question about the harmonies. Its mostly Brian's voice high in the mix, the first chorus is 100% Brians voice alone doing harmonies. The 2nd chorus is probably about 70-80% Brian, but i can definitely hear Freddie and Roger adding to it far back in the mix to give it some extra color. The "way too soon" is mostly Freddie harmonies, but the whole band is in the mix, and im 100% sure that the high note at the end was Roger, he has a very distinct falsetto tone, different to Freddie's, now thats not to say Freddie could have harmonized it lower in the mix, but its pretty hard to hear if so. And in the 3rd chorus, its like 60% Brian, they raised Roger and Freddie in the mix, and i can especially hear Rogers falsetto lines subtly in their as well, so the mix for that last chorus is probably something like, 60% Brian, 25% Roger, 15% Freddie. I can recognize each voice individually really well at this point (which is really cool but sometimes it can hurt my listening experiance because i start to focus in on only one of their voices during some harmonies 🤣) And Hot Space was the peak of Queen delving into funk and disco, so that album in particular was super polarizing, which made a lot of people fall off for their future records, but by the end of their releases, they gained a good amount back. But the follow up albums to Hot Space never went as far as Hot Space, they dialed back the funk thing, still used it, but more tastfully and usually with more of a rock overtone, where rock is the main genre, but funk and disco now had a place in their sound, just no where near as prominent.
Love Brian May's voice. Some day listen to Resurrection one of Brian's solo projects.. I am on a new medication which has killed my appetite. I have to force myself to eat. I have lost 20 pounds in 2 months
Great to see you back at it. 🙃 Ride the Wild Wind I think you'll love 💕
And what about Roger's astonishing backing vocals at the very moment Freddie sings "yeah!"?
you have to react to the rock and roll medley they did at wembley in 1986
Fantastic reaction as ALWAYS. A massive thank you for doing this song. I've asked alot on your videos for this and as always really enjoyed it. Flash next PLEASE x
“Sail Away Sweet Sister (To the Sister I Never Had)” was written by Brian and, of course, he is singing the lead vocals. The bridge was sung by Freddie. It does sound a bit like a Guns N' Roses song.
such an underrated song that needs more love ! i definitely think you would enjoy resurrection by brian may !! one of my favorite tracks from him:)
Love the hoodie. And great to see you reacting to Queen again!
Haha, love the green hoodie
Nice one David 👍 you should do a reaction to queen love kills the ballad it’s a great version
Congratulations on 3000 subs!
Love the reaction channel! You always keep it real. Take care of yourself. Yes this was on The Game album but was never released as a single. I might be wrong on this but I think Brian let Axl Rose release as a Guns and Roses single.
Great reaction, this song is lovely! By the way, Axl Rose sang this at a concert and it was fantastic.
Sorry to hear you have anxiety issues. My 16 year old has some anxiety. Guess we all do to a degree. Keep talking as it’s a good way to release feelings. I talk to anyone about anything and everything even strangers at a bus stop. Hope you feel better soon. I like your videos. You come across as a really nice person.
You should react to Queen it’s a hard life live Rio 85, it’s out of this world! one of Freddie’s highest voice performances.
Sorry that the anxiety has raised its head again David. Great reaction yes mainly Brian Vocals and a Freddies part but Roger is in there too. If you want another great Brian song to react to you should check out Long Away
Hi David good to see your reactions again. Please would you react to Queen " Coming Soon" from The Game Album. Since you love Freddie hitting the high notes you will love this track, it's written by Roger and I know how much you love his work. Cheers. From Dave M
You should review Queen Don’t try suicide.
O. M. G.
I have been waiting for Sum 1 to react to this 4 forever!
Please react to:
"Spread Your Wings and Fly"...........
Good Mornin, 😎,
👍👌✌.
On "Sleeping on the Sidewalk" Brian sings in a lower key and uses an American accent. Interesting.
Vastly under rated track . Vastly under rated album . This album for me is one of my favorite albums with perhaps Brian's best Queen vocal performance . The Game album is one many should consider checking out , Jazz is my favorite being my first Queen album I got but this is up there
This song is #8 track from "The Game"
Hi guy's if you want to here how good of a singer brian really is,look up song he did a cover version of caled it's only make believe, you won't regret it
Here's a link ruclips.net/video/Lwm6IgJHLBI/видео.html
Fab reaction if you really want catchy and metal Brian's song "cyborg" is a must listen you wont regret it.
please make a reaction to Roger Taylor-Fun In Space
David, if you havent yet you must react to queen: don't lose your head😉 with additional little vocals by Joan armatrading....catchy song from a kind of magic Album. Freddie sounds awesome but i am not Sure if you will like it
Freddie needed to be there to guide the rest to perfection
He was the keystone of Queen
Before him Brian and Roger didn't come up with anything major and haven't done since.
Can you react to "La Japonaise" by Freddie and Montserrat? It's an amazing song, and I would love to see you reacting!!!! (The golden boy by them is an amazing song tho)!!!
Sail Away Sweet Sister has the least 'sisterly like' lyrics to me despite how Brian explains it. Reads more like he's in love with someone younger than himself. Not sure about the harmonies, sure sounds like Freddie! Freddie can quietly match his harmonies in back up vocals if he needed to. I adore Brian's voice here though.
Am I the only one who thinks Brian sounds a bit like Paul McCartney here?
