I had the bass imported from Germany to the UK on its release. Never been fully happy with it but I take it as a back up to gigs. It's very boomy and the action was very high when I first got it too.
I love this fender modern telecaster bass. One of the reasons are the tone and sound quality. When I first heard this bass, it really gives at pure rigid power sound, combined with tone. Luckily, this is the best bass I want to buy. But I have a question. Would it be possible if I could buy a fender custom modern telecaster bass?
Guys ..Check out Bill Nelson"s "Be-Bop Deluxe" Live in the Airage" "Live" Album from 1977..Bassist Charlie Tumahai Playing a Fender Tele bass throughout the live recording through a Phaser on the recording..Very distinct sound.
no offence but I'd stick to playing things you can play well for demos, practice harder stuff off camera. Also a demo should demonstrate as much of the range of sounds as possible :o]
+Barry Shitpeas I got shorter arms an so on like a j bass it's comfortable to rest my thumb on the neck pup but on this bass the pups are farther apart so it's jus awkward for me to play
Bad demo! No demo examples of individual pick ups, i.e. front p/u only, back p/u only. No demo of blending pick ups.(mix of front and back) Distorted sound only. No clean tone(s) No demo of tone pots , i.e. full on, rolled off etc...
I don't know about you, but this demo wasn't singing the praises of this bass. Someone else said elephant farts and I find it hard to disagree. Where is the tone? Two humbuckers and you get a one trick pony where the trick ain't so trick? I'll stick with my Franken-Jazz! ('75 sunburst body, '72 precision B neck, Badass II bridge and Seymour Duncan 1/4 pounder J-bass pups) Everything else is original...ha ha ha! Sounds sweet!
I love the way this guy plays, most bass reviews are played by jazz and funk fans, but this guy plays in a more rock or indie style, and i like it

How come never fully happy?
@@Rekeza , it was quite boomy and the action was high but I have now addressed those issues and it sounds great

GAK is a good description. The player made this bass sound like a charging elephant about to experience explosive indigestion.
Sounds like you are playing though a cheap digital modeling amp or some Digitech multi-pedal set up. Just wondering.
He did!

Is this bass good for slap? Please
+Ado Flowers I can't imagine...listen to it. ick. Certainly not very "hi-fi" sounding.
please.... please... PLEASE :((( do the modern player jaguar bass aswell... there is no video on youtube about it :(
At 2:05 he begins the elephant fart bass solo!
popoaggie Exactly!
Cool
I'll bet it sounds MUCH better when played with a pick.
it does. with a pick it is really exceptional. better than my american elite pj bass

Played this bass mixed emotions about it but my only real complaint is no place to rest your thumbs if you use it for support sometimes like I do
+Sgt. Peppers Can't you use the humbucker? That's what I do

Easily fixed by installing thumb rest. Hardly a reason for not buying if you like the sound.
theres loads!
Ohh yeah mate? sure there is... send me a link of just one
Hey! Your best way to contact Joe is through his Twitter. You can reach him on @yoseph_900
About time they replaced this guy with someone who knows what he is talking about and able to give a REAL demo.
