It’s hit or miss, I’ve bought 3 pairs of customs over the years, and sometimes I get the real chick 70 quality canvas, other times I’ll get the more flimsy stuff. I will say that even the flimsy quality material is still durable, and all of the stitching is the same or atleast very close to the same quality.

@@finnie9223 I spoke pre maturely in my other comment. I didn’t order chuck 70s nor or any of my other pairs 70s. I’m going to have to look into those later… mine just came the same as the other all stars.
What website did you use?
I like the colourway… REALLY nice
they’re probably using a recycled canvas or RPET for their custom shoes because i have a pair of chuck 70s which was outlined as RPET canvas and it is noticeably less rigid than my other regular canvas one
This is most likely the answer as it cost about 11 for a converse to be made so to give the options of over 70 plus variations to customize from that they would have to cut cost on material to keep the shoe cost to be made at 11
Do yours have normal eyelets like the retail 70s? I ordered some and theyre nice, but the eyelets are dull/matte looking.
They look like they belong on a pair of all stars. Im kinda disappointed by this, but otherwise theyre good.
Based on this video, yours do look right. Idk why mine are so dull, there's two choices, silver or gold right now, and I selected silver. So idk why mine look so different.
I noticed that too with the 3 pair I customized. 🤔

Good, and maybe! I made a second video comparing the custom 70s to regular allstars and the customs ARE in fact thicker canvas, however it still doesnt make sense why its very noticeably thinner than regular 70s.
@@finnie9223 Yeah good point, my sister has a pair of 70s so I compared the two and there was a difference. Pretty strange
maybe they’re the suede option? that leather is usually really thin comparatively
They need the US crafts men and pride woth good material to make them again why can we have a line here for high end products
And it also seems that your eyelets are just the regular ones, not the 70s chromed ones or are those the same?
The eyelets look to be the same, both in construction and materials used. Both seem to have a somewhat shinier finish than your standard allstar eyelets

Is the thicker canvas more comfortable?
Id say theyre about the same as far as comfort goes, however the inside of the thicker canvas pair is a little softer
@@finnie9223 Thanks for your help, I decided on the basic chuck 70 instead of the custom. I figure I can get them customized down the road by a shoe cobbler or something if I change my mind.
Converse is the worst at customer service and taking care of their customers in general.
So you mean Nike nigga. Nike owns converse.
