5:34 the babies inside the apple with flares around it is a glyph, and there are 8 major types. They form ciphers to inform clues about the episode itself. They are spread across the episode between scenes of different acts (before commercial break when aired). And viewers very quickly took notes and tried to decode them back in the day. Not much of a spoiler after you watched the episode, but quite fun to try to spot them and worker them out. Lots of meta-games are in play when it aired JJ Abram created Lost, so he carried his story telling styles with him to Fringe.
Fun fact: The glyphs (symbols) that are shown over the course of an episode spells out a word that is related to the episode, the current arc or season. Every combination of a glyph and a dot location corresponds to a letter of the alphabet, meaning the glyphs are a cypher.
I have watched this show a long time ago and rewatched it couple of times since and really loved it so I am ashamed to say I have never noticed that there were 2 babies inside the apple before. Great reaction as usual.
If you’re feeling like your don’t understand what’s going on, for the most part it’s because you’re not meant to at that point. The show does very well and being confusing while explaining things by constantly giving you more questions from every answer you get.
Fringe never stopped surprising me. I think that, even with your intuition, it'll keep surprising you too. And further down the road will be the most macabre image I've ever seen on TV. Think Poe meets Lovecraft. Enjoy!
I LOVE EVERY CHARACTER. Walter, Peter, Olivia, Astrid, Charlie, Broyles. And it’s ok Dakara. I don’t consider myself very smart but I enjoy the hell out of the show and although don’t pretend to understand everything, I understand enough to not let the enjoyment deter so you’re good!! 😅
One of my favorite things to do with a seat warmer is to turn it on max in the passenger seat without telling the passenger. It takes a couple minutes but the payoff is always worth it. I'll never forget my buddy just breaking the silence with, "My ass is, like, on fire!"
I've said it before and I'll say it again I love the fishtank screensaver in the background 🥰 I bet scooby loves it too 🙂 just here to leave a comment and a like 🔥
@@Ian-xx1xb you're too kind to me. I'll try to remember to pop that on more. Scooby loves his toys, the bat you got him is still going strong favourite lol. Thanks Ian 🥰
If for absolutely no other reason, this show deserves a watch for John Noble as Walter Bishop alone. (Noble is every bit the same caliber actor as, say, Ian McKellen.)
To this day, I have no idea why the first two episodes of this show were so gory (or is it body-horror?) When I remember Fringe, I don't consider it to be an especially gory show, but then when rewatching I see these first two episodes and think "Jesus, what the fuck"
There will be a lot of information about Olivia and Peter's families in the upcoming episodes. In general, the theme of family is very important in this story.
The scene where they "see" what the victim saw at the moment of death is based on a real scientific experiment. The whole episode seemed layered in a very interesting way. All the events seem to reveal a mystery, that in itself, reveals another mystery. I'm thinking that I really didn't give it a chance to develop it's own flavor. I think I'm going to look forward to the next episode too.
No spoilers but up coming episodes will be like a rollercoaster, with high points and low points as well as throwing your attention into a loop, or hitting it from side to side by going left or right 😊
On a side note, in case no one has given you a heads up, the episode Unearthed is listed in a lot of places as an extra episode in S2. This was actually an unaired episode of S1. You don’t lose much from the story if you don’t watch it in S1, but it’s very confusing if you watch it at the end of S2.
Yes, Peter (Joshua's character) is going to be kindof the bridge between the field and the lab given, like you said, he is also extremely intelligent... In terms of intellectual capabilities he is up there with Walter; I mean, they mentioned Peter's IQ level and that it's well above genius level, when can assume that Walter is up there as well (I don't think they ever mention his IQ)... The big difference is that Walter is far more studied, specialized and experienced... Walter has several fields of study and decades of experience, as well as a different inclinations towards certain fields; Peter on the other hand, has much more "untapped potential" given that he has never specialized o pursued a scientific field of study, however he still excels in more mechanical fields, still has a very deep scientific understanding of pretty much everything in a medium to advanced level and, perhaps more impressively, a lot of experience collecting "street smarts" coupled with his high intellect
Pay attention to the images as you go to commercial breaks. Could they mean something? It has nothing to do with the show itself...it was just something the producers added to intrigue the OCD faction of the fanbase. Think of them as a game.
Just to give you a helping hand, make sure you catalog the images during and at the end of the show intro each episode (apple/frog etc.).....just saying. And you may or may not need to be good at pausing during the intros....maybe.
Envious of anyone who gets to experience this show for the first time!
That nurse has the BEST HORROR scream I've ever heard on a tv show. It's blood curdling. So well done.
So glad you've committed to this series, hardly seen anyone reacting to it. You're in for a great ride
I've never seen a show go THIS hard in the cold open of it's SECOND episode.
Walter is the heart of the show. Maybe the best written/acted character in TV history. So complex and multifaceted.
Fringe is an AWESOME adventure. You're going to love it.
Person of Interest is another show that's awesome.

Got to love Walter.
Fringe is one of my favorite shows. It's so good and it helps that I grew up in the area it is based in! Seeing the landmarks are pretty cool.

I barely remember this show but remember the last season was absolute 🔥

Thrilled you are committed to the show. You will not regret it!
hope you're right! I''m 13 eps in so far and loving it! Thanks for tuning in to the reactions
@DakaraJayne wait till you find out what exactly waltet thought olvia knew about peter 😅😅😅.. its worse than you can ever imagine 😂

Very excited that you are doing reactions on Fringe!!!! :D

These aired on FOX, with lots of hype. They tried to get the viewers hooked on the first season
hahaha the small prayer there with jakara.
the company is Massive Dynamic
Really enjoying your early thoughts on the show!
Sticking with it. Get innnnnnnn.

i completely forgot that i've also tried milking a cow until you mentioned it. i was in the fifth grade or so and it was quite hard 😂

Yaaas, the LOST vibes makes sense as this was created by J. J. Abrams, who also created LOST... Btw, fan of the ginger on you.
One of my nephews (RIP) widow looks very much like Anna Torv
Juat wait till you find out what exaty walter did to peter and what he thought olivia already knew 😅😅😅😅....
Peter has Walters intelligence. He doesnt have Walters knowledge.

It’s a shame there isn’t a theme tune like Buffy’s, another good reaction as always a cheeky thumbs up for my favourite reactor 😎🏏🏴👍👍👍❤️

Funny how you say it is like Lost. The creators of Lost afterwards created this show, Fringe. Hence the simularities!!!
Pay attention to the images as you go to commercial breaks. Could they mean something? It has nothing to do with the show itself...it was just something the producers added to intrigue the OCD faction of the fanbase. Think of them as a game.
The rapid growth during pregnancy reminds me of the movie Species (1995).
This series to me seems like a Sci-Fi soap opera on steroids.
That’s a wrong read.
