@@tonepotproductions5825 it’s a big boy “F you” to the players who paid for it and had to work for it. I’m all for new players getting access to stuff like this, but at least give the players who were around and earned it for themselves something. An ornament exclusive to people who paid for it and completed the dungeon, bright dust, silver, something. I get you can buy it cheap, it’s been around for while and it’s not hard to do, but it’s still the principle of it. The people who bought it and did it worked for it, they didn’t just complete a few strikes and get it garunteed. They put time, effort, and money into it, they should have something to show for it. Same with all other paid content that’s been removed/made free. Give them something to say “hey you paid for this, now it’s no longer exclusive to having been paid for and it’s free to everyone/ it’s no longer in the game and you no longer have access to it. Let us make it right in some kind of way” it doesn’t need to be big, it doesn’t need to be much, but something for the people that have been around and put money they earned and worked for into it.
It’s the 10 year anniversary of Xur selling Gjally for the first time, I don’t see why people are so upset over something cool like this. People forget that they should be playing the game for fun and their “exclusive” items are meaningless

because it is a looter shooter and these "exclusive items" are in the marketing of paid content, thus reducing the value of their paid content if made free. then again after a few years it should be fine since we've fully used up the content anyway

i had this in D1 and there are so many others i want.. Zen master was my favorite gun, funny that today i don't use a sniper at all. I don't care about snipers at all, but i don't care about hand guns and they are good in PVP. I had a 33 auto rifle it was amazing, but after so many games of doing great, it isn't the same anymore, I am not saying a few days later, i am saying right now for iron banner. They must be doing something or the people i am shooting are not dying. What do i hate the most ? how we have content in the game and Destiny takes it away.

Got mine from Prison of Elders level 28 on my Titan after I had rebuilt my titan, first one was butt ugly (Male, Exo) and decided to remake the titan to (Female, Human side note she looks like Fem Shep) before the Taken King came out, lots of People were doing that at the time to FARM Exotics by the way !!!!

He doesnt sell the achievements. Those must still be earned. So ppl can still spot the ones who earned it, cause they might have the seal. I bought it from Xur, but that did not count for the seal progress. So you can still spot the "fakers". lol.

Don’t let this game die. It’s one of the only ones I actually enjoy playing. Borderlands series is the other. That game is just good clean (ha) fun.

The Gjallarhorn is nothing more than nostalgia bait designed to rejuvenate interest in the game, instead of Bungie making the game interesting.
Buying Gjallarhorn does not count for the seal progress and achievements. So those must still be earned.

I actually do have the anniversary DLC but still haven't gotten Gjallerhorn... just haven't done the dungeon.
Seems very fair considering the weapon is pretty old at this point. Plus you can only get the catalyst (for now) via the Dungeon, so its pretty fair overall, specially considering this is one of the catalysts that really buffs the weapon significantly.
Okay let's have buried bloodline next time 😂, and catalysts as well... Xur hasn't been relevant for quite a while...I am not upset, honestly I just don't like to grind for it!

Mask of the quiet one is pretty good when paired with Tommy's it damages you to give ability energy then you heal yourself with the mask back and forth it's a decent loop

I think so. Also the achievemnts for the seal from that time stays locked. Still have to earn those too. Plus the one for the ornament i guess.

Gjallarhorn was a free exotic in D1. They repackaged and sold it to only people willing to spend $30 on the anniversary pack to then turn around and hand it out for free years later.
It cannot possibly be any more of a slap in the face.
Imagine earning a thing in a game, then having it taken from you, paying to have it again because there is no other means of obtaining it, to then have it handed out. It is blatantly obvious, as all of Bungie's scummy monetization tactics have always been, and the veterans are sick and tired of it. We have dealt with all of these exact same problems for a decade now and every time we call them out about something that they *should* be called out for, the blueberries tell us to stop playing if we hate the game so much.
The problem is that the only reason we're complaining is because we *love* the game and hate having that love taken advantage of at every possible monetizable opportunity.
I'm all for having everybody get Gjally. It never should've had a paywall to begin with and *that* is the problem. It shouldn't have, but it did, and now the people that paid for it are rightfully upset that they were, once again, sold repackaged content they already had for a game they've had to continuously pay to play since its release.

Gjallahorn is free due to the anniversary being up. I personally feel like it's a decent celebration of destiny. The anniversary pack is still worth getting due to the other things you get from it. I'd have understood the outrage if it was buried bloodline that he was selling because that would've been insane.
