It's about time we jump back into our reaction of @Dual-Process-Theory's 2-hour-long "FNAF SOLVED" video! Last time we had just gotten to the Foxy grid and started to challenge some of the commonly held conceptions of the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom, with some controversial opinions about the identity of the crying child! The kids would've died/been missing before he got arrested anyway so that still wouldn't be a wound first inflicted on him since the children and their families were 'wounded' before he got arrested

"A wound first inflicted on me" I think if we take girls' theory as right, then the first wound could be just henry getting blamed for the MCI, not really Charlie's death. That would seem like a logical solution

I do believe Henry was the one arrested and why it wasn't until ffps that he shows up

I believe what they meant about the order of the killings is this:
Crying Child gets put into a coma, and this makes Willy A want to "put him back together"
To do this, he starts the MCI, taking kids apart in an attempt to figure out how to put them back together. He's shown to be a pretty egotistical man in the books, so he may have thought he could do what modern medicine can't
After he starts running out of time, he has a mental break and puts CC into the feedbear suit. It seemingly doesn't work.
He pins the crime on Henry
He kills Charlie
The animatronics are now haunted by the puppet giving life, cue remnant shenanigans.
(Also, anecdotal thought, if the MCI occurs during CC's coma [Fnaf 4], then the shift to Nightmare Fredbear could be his coma dream of being springlocked. Not evidence but cool thought)
That last part about Nightmare Fredbear makes so much sense!

@@YuutaTogashi0707 the happiest day minigame implies that the crying child celebrating a birthday is fredbear, so it would make sense that the OTHER crying child who died during their birthday to the fredbear animatronic would end up connected to it, as in, being the same character possessing the suit
Maybe the transfer happened during the bite, and that's what actually put them in a coma, their spirit leaving their body

My only issue with this theory is I am not sure if William would care about anyone that much - not even his son. I always thought he was chasing immortality for his own gain.
I can't wait for MatPat to eject from his body and go straight to the afterlife once he sees their second major point.
As someone who was kinda disappointed with how the Crying Child is such a huge part of the lore but just kinda faded into the background, this theory gives me gifts. This theory gives me life.

I could be wrong, but DPT was saying, he took Cassidy home, then killed the 5 kids to see how to put them back together. As he stuffed them into the suits to hide the bodies, he noted the animatronics acting up. So, he put Cassidy in the suit to heal him. He thought it didn't work, he removed the body and then buried him. Just wanted to clear that up because it seemed like Mat was a bit turned around on that. It took me a second watch to place that too.
Hope this comment is higher and Mat sees is - I was so sad that he seemed to misinterpret what they were saying a little. Also him thinking this all happened in one night 😅
He also missed that the reason william put Cassidy in the suit before confirming it would work, was because the cameras had caught his last 2 kills and he was out of time.

He still brings up a good point when he says the suits can’t be acting up until Charlie gives them life. The way the girls’ describe that makes it seem like the suits were possessed immediately after the child died.

I love the trend of these videos where Mat pauses to talk for a few minutes about why he disagrees with something only to unpause and the video immediately addresses his concern.
I don't think that the theory's stating that William killed Cassidy that night, then drank then killed Charlie, Matpat. I think they are saying that William killed Cassidy at one point, framed Henry, and made Cassidy a "victim" of Henry's supposed killings. Then way after Henry had already been arrested and convicted, a depressed/alcoholic William kills Charlie in anger after she was locked outside by bullies ostracizing her for being a "killer's" daughter.

One thing I really like about this is MatPat treats them as equals. There's no hint of "oh they did a good job for being younger viewers" or anything like that. That's why I appreciate when he calls out something that doesn't immediately click, because it's treating them as equals -- as theorists.
Having said that I think a lot of FNAF lore is logical leaps lol

The thing I believe are the main points. The details may be correct or not, but it's impossible to be 100% correct with the details in FNAF.

I think if they stuck Henry with either five counts reckless endangerment of a child OR of negligent homicide that would have been roughly 30-35 years.
Interestingly, if FNaF 1 happened in 1992-3 and the MCI in 1985-6, that is 7 years. The 7th year someone is missing without a lead they are legally considered dead.
The whole idea of “Michale been stuffed in the same suit he killed his brother in” bit is cannon to me now, they’ve convinced me. It’s beautiful from a story presentation and makes scrap trap stand out more. All the actions in one way or another linked to golden Freddy. Chills when I first heard it
And who shoved Michael in golden Freddy? Elizabeth. Which just makes this even sweeter, the siblings are all shoving each other in there
it also even helps that they know where the golden freddy suit is cause its in the underground bunker its in sister location bunker so it would make sense why he can find the spare parts for his face
I love the callbacks but i hate how their evidence is so weak, the mask barely matches the one of fredbears/gfs, it has visible 4 sectional openings like the funtimes, and even if its a stretch the eyes dont match either

It's not suuuper important to the rest of the theory but honestly surpised but not that that was the most discussed.
It could be quite possible, that the head of the suit isn't Golden Freddy's but a SL-styled head/mask; hastily placed onto Michael or used in place of it's original head for some reason. Maybe some parts of mr G.Freddy were missing alongside the Spring Nonnie suit which weren't transferred to the Sister Location; allowing William to use said missing parts to replace/repair his own suit?
1:24:20 What could have happened instead is that CC died or was about to die and in a desperate act, he threw him in Golden Freddy. The body was spring locked and mangled so he can't show everyone and give CC a funeral. So he buries him and reports his son missing

That’s what they said more or less.
To clarify, I think they're saying that Cassidy death and Charlie death happen at different times. Cassidy gets springtrapped, then the video recording of the last murders are found, leading to Henry's arrest. Later, on a different day, after Henry's convicted, the other kids bully Charlie for her father's supposed crimes, leading to her being locked out and killed by William. The 'later that night' refers to the events of Midnight Motorist relative to Charlie's death, not to Cassidy's death.
The idea that the spring lock suit in Sister Location is the Fredbear suit that Michael put his brother into is so clever and sounds so right. Especially when you think about the fact that if this is true, then that means that Micheal is experiencing the same fear that his brother was feeling in this moment when he is in the suit.
It is literally the perfect karma.

Honestly, it's one of my favorite parts of this whole Theory. It works so well narratively and the evidence is there to back it up for the most part. I personally think that one's confirmed, whether anyone else does or not. For me that is my head Cannon going forward.
I have to agree as well but I have to say that in my opinion that golden Freddy is a separate suit from Cassidy’s. There is just something off about it that I can’t put my finger on it? 🤔I want to believe that it is golden Freddy’s suit but we all know Cassidy is still there until the fire and probably (not confirmed evidence) in security breach. I don’t want to get my hopes up because I want to see the difference between the games and the movies. I personally don’t fully believe the books because they don’t fit solid evidence to the games but I am still trying to read them because this franchise is my favorite. 🍕🐻🍕
As much as I really don't think it works,it would be really good narratively. Especially considering Mike was unconscious, breathing and heart beating,inside that suit for 18 hours. Bro must have been springlocked without knowing (and,no,the pain wouldn't wake him up because he was knocked unconscious,he wasn't just asleep). We know remnant can heal so after the springlocking,he'd basically just be healing for the remainder of the time until he wakes up
In my previous comment in the first video matpat did I said maybe c.c saw Cassidy die in that spare bear suit when he was locked in the closet? that’s why he was crying. (Due to the movie’s lore) his dad locked him on purpose or his brother did it and was scared. So to make sure his son was quiet afton broke the animatronic on purpose because of “WHAT HE SAW”.

Asked a lawyer. In her opinion, the lack of a non circumstantial ID leaves enough reasonable doubt for an acquittal. Since there is no way of 100% knowing that Henry would be in that suit, she said that she doesn’t believe there would be enough evidence to prove Henry was even at the scene of the crime

To be fair... the judicial system is not perfectly objective and does not always convict as it should
Ask her to take into consideration the time period (the 80s) and the pressure to ease the fears, panic, worries etc. of parents and the political fall out. It wouldn't be the first time those kind of circumstances led to a false conviction.

-the bite of 83
-cc in hospital
-takes cc home to help with recovery
-Susie death
-Fritz death
-on June 26th Gabriel and Jeremy death
-that night William takes cc and spring locks him, then hides his body in MM woods to cover himself
-Henry arrested the next day
-William spirals and drinks
-Michael sneaks out repeatedly bc of CC tryna lure him to the gravesite
-sees Charlie outside and kills her
-later that night goes home and sees Michael gone again and vows to make him pay
-nightmare gas, and so on so forth
Just hope that clears up the order of events some! Love the reactions ❤
Edit: also abt the Fnaf 3 endings, in their timeline video I think their saying that they think that both endings are canon with Fnaf 3 bad ending is canon to the end of the game and the Fnaf 3 good ending happening at the end of the timeline after Fnaf world and UCN
Edit 2: and if your confused on how the Fnaf 4 might 6 minivans takes place, they explain it as that’s not ccs death but whenever he slips into a coma and the death noise just being something associated with type of scenario, but interpret how you will

Good lord you had me worried that there was only going to be the one part lol. This is like the only theory I've seen that "feels" at least like 70% correct and that's unheard of for a fnaf theory
52:02 Given that the lighting artifact can only be seen in one of Golden Freddy's eyes and that fact that the head is in total darkness, I think it's more likely that there was never a second light in the first place - it was just an illusion created by the light bleeding out from the right eye.
I've always thought this too, and I don't think the two visible eyes were originally meant to be anything more than an easy way to tell there was an additional bear head in the background. BUT, the dual spirit idea is a very fun idea to tinker with purely from a storytelling perspective, so I can understand if Scott and the writers looked at the image at one point later and said "hey, what if we did a couple things that involved two spirits possessing the same suit?" I don't think the two lights should be taken as evidence for anything prior to FNAF6 with Lefty's weird eye situation.
Its much brighter than the other lights tho
I would believe it's brighter for a couple of reasons.
1. The positioning of the head which is more to the side, showing the back of the head well.
2. Golden Freddy's fur which is, well... Golden. You can see the light bouncing back inside Freddy's head as well. But it isn't as bright due to his fur being brown.
3. Contrast. Golden Freddy's head is enveloped in a shadow which makes the inside of the other eye brighter.
4. Most likely Scott didn't see anything wrong with that. After all the circle of light is only on one of the eyes and the bouncing of the light in the other one helps establish that it is indeed a head, not just a weird light.
What I would suggest is someone who knows how to use blender to stimulate this render.
If I'm already getting into the topic, I might as well mention that having another character added who's only purpose is to be... Well, angry, breaks one of the most fundamental rules in writing. Which is to shrink the amount of characters present in your story, by scraping those who only serve one purpose, when another, existing character can do that instead. (It saves time in developing additional character and coming up with a design). It's not really a theory based thing and we can't tell if Scott follows those rules. I just believe it's nice to point it out.
@@skobree6360 Chica is the same colour but her eye socket isn't as bright? Also I dont think it only exists only to be angry, i'd say having 1 character that's vengeful is karma to William because that's the ghost that chased him into the suit.

Because from the evidence, it doesn’t look like they have a concrete argument to convict, but they probably convinced Henry they did. Tricking him into taking the plea deal saying they had him on video surveillance or something

In the graphic novels henry and William look surprisingly similar, if that's a carry over then if they did catch William on the camera's it could've looked like henry due to poor camera quality.
As a true crime enjoyer, this is what I thought, except maybe he took it because of the deal he'd get less time if he pled guilty because stuff like that happens all the time IRL
To add to the theory, I'm sure this could be why there was the whole "Remember Jeremy."
You had to remember that it was Jeremy, not Cassidy or Michael Brooks, who was the 4th missing child according to the gravestones.

Knowing scott's previous work is kind of wacky in its own right, I think it's more like the fans matching his freak, so to speak. Crazy begets crazy

@@strisselstudios3932 To me Scott worldbuilding works by giving some vague cryptic hints, and then it lets the fans to work with it cause he knows the Theories are what make the game so popular, unlike the rest of cheap treanding horror games.
If the story was so well thought out, people would have already solved it. And especially in his older games, it's clear that a lot of things came to him on the fly.
It's like trying to solve One Piece; It cannot be done, simply because the information to do it does not exist.
The fundamental difference is that Oda's intention is to reveal all the mysteries of One Piece, eventually.
While Scott seems to be more on the side of always having unsolved Mysteries, to keep interest in the theories indefinitely.
People found the most cryptic, extremely unintuitive and overconvoluted secrets in Animal Well, after like a week. But after 10 years people don't knows who is the Crying Child, because there is no answer. There is ephimeral hints that could or could not being thought about in advance.

That section of Michael being shoved into the golden Freddy suit is the part that really made me love their video. That FEELS GOOD.

I think your interpretation of "that night" isn't quite what they're going for. I don't think they're saying that Cassidy died, William got drunk, killed Charlotte, went to Jr's, and then home again all in the same night. I think there's time in between them, it's not all one day

I agree with Ash at the end. When I watched the video I didn't even notice many of the audio changes and, considering it's the very first video on the channel, having a studio level quality isn't mandatory nor actually expected. I thought it was good enough (audio and editing), and it even have proper subtitles! I'd love to see more reactions for their videos in the future.
I have the fun mental image of a soul becoming metalicized and basically being electroplated over other metals. Forget gold plating, soul plating is the new jewelry trend. Just how magnetic is a soul anyways?

1:14:05 well, Matt, no matter how much time passes, there will still be bones and such. People have been dead for centuries and their bones still exist. So if the suit is Fredbear, then Cassidy would need to be removed.
bones actually do break down over time, depending on the environment that they’re in- see animal bones in a forest vs. fossilized bones covered by sediment. i do agree that it’s extremely likely that cassidy has been removed, though, especially under the assumption that cassidy’s body is buried in the box

But it brings me joy that you did catch it, and decided to share with the internet not only the fact that you caught it, but that you also were delighted by it so much that you wanted the world to know about it too. And that is a reason to be joyful
I do want to point some out, while I agree Charlie is with them during Fnaf three. There is only one light in golden Freddy’s eyes. If you look at Bonnie and Freddy, the glow from the left eye carries into the right eye socket. There is only five of those. Which still proves that there is only one spirit in golden Freddy.
I think the increase glow in golden Freddy was to help make it clear that it was there

Bite occurs, CC goes to hospital, William promises to put CC back together. Over the next couple of weeks the MCI takes place. Then he takes CC out of hospital and puts him in Golden Freddy. Then takes him out, puts him in the box and puts that into the grave.
Time passes, the MCI investigation begins, William says CC is missing too, Henry is arrested and convicted. It's now even more weeks later. William stews in his grief and anger, one night he sees Charlie and kills her. Later THAT night is Midnight Motorist.

Re: how much happened the night of the Later That Night minigame. I think MatPat's thinking too much is then. At the point of the mini game, the kids were already dead, Cassidy was already buried, Henry was already arrested and maybe even convicted. The only thing that happened before Later That Night was killing Charlie. (Okay, and William getting drunk, but that was probably not unusual at that point.)
About the "lefty, left eye" thing. Am I crazy, or is it not the right eye that's golden? It's left from an observer's standpoint, but from the perspective of the animatronic (which seems more important in this case) it's the right eye.

It makes a lot of sense for MCI to be before charlie in the case for Henry to build the security puppet, for him to feel the need to have that security to watch over Charlie because he knows that bad things have happened in the pizza place before, so as long as she was inside the building she would be guarded and safe

Having watched the full video, I will say that some of the weirdness or things that might feel like leaps are explained further and built up on later as well( like the box, for instance).
Also, I agree with the audio(besides Cori's mic sometimes having a high pitched noise, but i only noticed it on certain devices) and i think a lot of people agree on it but i find it funny because RyeToast's reaction was him ranting about their audio issues and what to do to fix them for a prolonged period.
Just to add to the "Cassidy Afton" theory, I couldn't get why you think Happiest Day in fnaf3 is the true ending and not just an alternate ending that gives clues about who the lights represents to.
They use it that way, mainly bc it has more sense that the spirits are still running but melted in Molten Freddy.

Okay so I am going to put something out there about when Matpat talks about how Henry said "A wound first inflicted on me.." at 24:27 in the video. Maybe we were interpreting that line wrong this whole time. Could it be possible that what Henry meant by that line is that the "wound" that was inflicted on Henry was William committing the crime of the MCI? I mean Freddy's was originally Henry's idea so it makes sense that Henry would take those deaths personally. This interpretation doesn't conflict IMO with the time line of deaths presented in Help Wanted 2 because the MCI would have to have happened first. Idk y'all this is just the connection my brain made.
It makes sense. If I was a father who loved to make children smile and make a fun and delicious place for families to gather and eat, and my 'partner' decided to use it for a termination-spree hunting ground of the small ones, I would definitely feel betrayed, hurt and furious.
That, or it could be Henry taking the fall for MCI

Not only was his dream ruined and kids killed (which is heinous already but if making them happy was his ultimate goal it would be particularly crushing) but he was blamed for it, ruining his and his family's lives. It was a miracle Freddy's survived it. I wouldn't be surprised if EVERYTHING in this whole ordeal was personal for him because, in a way, it was. He was at the center of it in-universe but since the story focuses more on the Aftons, we tend to forget it. It's human to take stuff personally and a real person very much would after all if this. I think it's good writing for Henry to be like that and it prevents him from being one-dimensional. His feelings about the plot go against it, he isn't focused on the Aftons. He's focused on HIS pain, on everything that was taken away from him
It's very possible, I think it could go either way,. I believe they just felt like there needed to be a reasonable explanation of why Henry wasn't around all this time and William was pretty much getting off scot free and this might be the tie in that could answer that. I can really see any view point, bottom line is Henry wasn't there and then he was and he felt a personal vengeance, either one doesnt change the outcome overall i believe(it only really matters in regards to whether Charlie was first or not), I think their crafting was aimed to try to make sense of his absence.
Dual's theory might be the most concise, ground-breaking and logical theory the community has had in a long time. So much of it makes so much sense.

"A wound first inflicted on me" that actually could be seen other than "oh I was hurt first by the death of my kid" it COULD be that he was hurt by his kid's death period, in the lore Henry is seen as a stoic character in the ending of Pizza Sim, he is literally about to die talking to all the dead kids about to burn alive yet he is acting super calm about it! What if the "first wound" was the 1st time he was actually hurt by something in ages, what if he was a stone wall of a man, not showing emotion, not showing hate but with the death of his daughter that shattered the facade?

Thing is, there was a much better solution for the MCI that doesn't make CC part of it: that Charlie died first at Freddy's and was lumped in with the others. It lines up with Happiest Day (5 souls including Charlie on one side and CC on the other) and requires far fewer logical leaps. I still think CC was springlocked in this version of the timeline, but he isn't part of the MCI.
Scott's whole world-buulding for FNaF seems like a lot of writer's block scenarios - he knew what he wanted from the series, likely knew a lot of the BIG plot points and had those generally mapped out, but had no idea how to get from Plot Point A to B to C, and ended up adding more things to make them fleshed out and stuff...
This is the first time I didn't wait for Matpat to finish reacting to something before I watched myself, so I am VERY excited to see his reaction to this amazing video

I think what they're trying to imply is that William has a bit of a god complex qnd the original four kids were not killed for mystical means or as some sort of ritual, but because William thought he could learn how to fix a traumatic brain injury by poking around in their heads.

Honestly this is the first theory i’ve heard that i think makes total sense tying Cassidy/CC’s death and Charlie’s and Midnight Motorist. It also makes sense why Charlie would be an outcast and even at the party at all. She had to be somewhere her dad was in prison and whoever was taking care of her was probably not handling it well

Maybe the puppet was the last to die but the first to come back and by giving the masks brings life to the other animatronics, which would make sence why afton did the killing and didn't get the other robots to help somehow
not to spoil but they get to it later or maybe earlier in the video I forget. But the idea is that the bodies are haunting but are confused the puppet knows how she died and she shows the animatronics their bodies and that allows them to fully settle into the suits. Which is the step Afton missed because he was just killing them and stuffing them so the soul didn't fully latch.
Here's a thing that grinds my gears fnaf SL can't be in a secret bunker under aftons house because other people work there
perhaps "the one you shouldn't have killed" is named such because it happened AFTER CC went into the suit - thus Afton can't justify the killing as for knowledge. I am definitely a casual though, so I have no idea if this conflicts with canon timeline.
