My top mod packs are: - fantasy Mc - another quality modpack (can be a little janky in the menus, but the recipe changes are incredible) - dawncraft - vault hunters (not great for the average player, but if you want an insanely long playthrough, it's perfect)
My favorite modpack and one you should try is: called "cisco's medieval fantasy rpg" Some tips -*stay close to spawn* the farther you are from spawn/0, 0 the higher the mobs levels will be -*the nether is very important* the nether has glowstone which can make bright steel which can make the most powerful weapons -*the enitre combat system has been changed* thanks to better combat every weapon attacks differently
(I got randomly inspired to write about this modpack, tldr; fear nightfall started out like a typical sharkie modpack but in it's current patch its really good) While I tend to agree that sharkie's modpacks typically feel soulless, fear nightfall stands out from the actual dumpster that is the other minecraft horror modpacks. The modpack does not feature any intended jumpscare mods and the day-night gameplay loop is really good, reminding me of games like darkwood or 7 days to die (the night length might need some config tweaking) This core gameplay loop of long days and shorter nights contrasts really well with the new mobs and threats in the mod. Compared to other mods that just throw endless, non-artstyle matching, awfully coded enemies at you by the thousands, every ten minutes. The sense of urgency to do what you need to and return home before dark invokes the original fear that minecraft gave in the early days, when you couldnt just outrun everything. On earlier patches it definitely felt like typical mass-produced hot garbage , and it still has flaws (many of them) but beside those flaws it remains the best horror modpack currently. (Until some random guy named ronald makes a better modpack by spending 2 years in crafttweaker)

these are all the same thing as hundreds of modpacks. constant structures are super old, wish modpack creators actually thought about the mods they added.
Avalon, might be my best modpack ever downloaded. not bycause graphics and other costemtics. its the old times. where are Knights! and other stuff from the year 1000 i realy how its made!
As for me very dull top of modpacks. I was searching for modpack to play and stumble on this video. And almost all modpacks in the video just some rpg-fight or vanila+ and all of them feels like copy of each other or already existing ones with some minor changes, nothing that making minecraft fresh. May be it's not really your problem, things like this just popular nowadays. But you video have some flaws to. For example when you told about Chosen's Modded Adventure you just pointed on structures and new mob - is this all that modpack has? What makes it unique if all other one's have new structures and mobs too? Seems very boring. Why it made to the top? I think you could review it better. Not going with hate, only wishing you to improve yourself

DawnCraft I pretty much didn't like it (everything is cool but its more annoying than RLcraft in my opinion, Really bad world seeds are my biggest issue never seen a village that is normal)
oh another thing 2 building which is I need was overwritten by other build, that made me delete world and modpack (no I did not add another mod, modpack looks like can not know how to put generated building I guess, which is turned my gameplay into pain). I did not delete because its different and hard (come one I played RLcraft without issue) it is because how poorly world generating desinged.

Anything by sharkie is a no from me. That guy is all about quantity over quality. He's in it for the money.

@@Deks4k my modpack testing is so slow now I’ve taken a break with 50 left, at like 753 mods total or something
@@Deks4koptimizing performance with 600 mods is kind of impossible, compatibility aswell.

There are so many good unique packs but they are just overshadowed by generic stuff like luna pixel packs
