Hi Marley - I did not find a RUclips video of the interior installation. I just used the web page link that I posted (among a few others) as a reference and followed the best practice suggestions made by Chris Vine.
What adhesive are you using? Is it brush on or a spray? Or do you use brush on some and spray on other? Great job, by the way... Here in Ann Arbor I got the engine started (after replacing the fuel tank) and most of the leaks (coolant AND fuel) stopped. I haven't tuned the carbs yet (I'll use ColorTune) but the engine sounds awesome. Oil pressure in the 50s (whew!). Just now doing the dash and dash panels (using your videos as guides). Thanks!
Hi Stan, fantastic progress on your car, good for you - keep going. I am using a 3M General Trim Adhesive which is spray on - I use this for large areas. For smaller areas like tabs or edges I use super glue. the process does require some taping off of sections and you have to be careful with over spray. John
John, The shift lever boot you have will not work once you put the console on. It is a series 1 boot. You need the series 2 boot much thinner. I installed the one you have because it is advertised as correct for series 2 but I couldn’t get into 2 nd or 4th once console is installed it’s too tight. Trying to save you from having to remove your console and damaging you new vinyl as I did.
Hello John, all 3 pieces goes at the underside of your dashboard
can you share the you tube you watch of the installation of the interior
