- Some footage of the Oakland Coliseum in what might unfortunately be the last season there. This might have possibly been my last game that I ever get to go to at the Coliseum so I wanted to walk around and take in as much of the stadium as I could. Oakland A's lost to the Boston Red Sox 1-0.
I feel bad for Oakland fans. I'm from Baltimore and this feels a lot like when Robert Irsay took the Colts away. Before he did, he completely mismanaged the team which was awful after 1977 and it killed the attendance. Been following the situation on Brodie Brazil's show. I'm with you all. "Sell the team!"
Thanks! I like to watch Brodie Brazil a lot too when it comes to this situation. He has done a great job covering it. If you want to see more of a fan's perspective on the situation, definitely check out gamer_athletics.
From Baltimore also and lived those last painful Irsay years. The concession area with all the history is just wonderful. Looks like there is a lot to do. Shed a tear for ya.😢
Crazy to think this won't exist someday likely soon.
Definitely! Really sad. I've been going to games there since 2001 and even though it's not Oracle Park, I still love being there. I'm trying to get to as many games as possible this year before it's over.
I really enjoyed that. Much nicer than I expected. Reminded me of when I went to my first game.
Thanks man! People shit on the coliseum but I love all of the history that they have all throughout the stadium. It's like a big baseball museum.
Shame Mount Davis was built. Took that nice view away from the ballpark.
@@annex4398 I agree! I wish I would have been able to go to the coliseum before that was there...
Thanks for sharing. Did you drive there? Or take public transportation? How much were tickets?
I drove this time but I have took the BART there many times which drops you off right across the street from the stadium. I don’t remember how much I paid honestly but not that much for those nice of seats.
I find it sad that the area cannot sustain pro sports in this era. Hopefully the organization has plans to include all of this A's history into the new home
Ya, it is really sad. I'm assuming they will include all of the history just like they currently have done with the Philadelphia and Kansas City history of the team.
HOW SAD!!! A concrete prison!!😢😢
Memories like the corners of my mind misty colored memories of the way it was..go Giants
I will definitely miss this place once it is gone. Giants fan as well but A's have always been my second team.
Just sad is all I can say.
This stadium looks tired and wants to be torn down.
Its a shame this historic stadium filled with decades of mlb and nfl history will all be torn down soon all because of a greedy owner. I hope oakland can get a new stadium built in the future with an expansion team the fans dont deserve to have their team taken away like this
I agree! Stadium has a lot of history! I just wish Howard Terminal would have worked out for Oakland and the A's.
Same thing happened with cominsky park
I blame the CITY THE COUNTY THE AND THE POLITICIANS (SHAME) now OAKLAND is without team
Now that the Raiders are gone, perhaps they should tear down the outfield bleachers to the way this was in 1970.
I wish they would have done that once the Raiders left but now with the A's planning to leave after this season, that won't happen.
SELL THE TEAM
Hell ya!!!
