A bit late but, there are particular EDM arrangements I do like. I feel like some songs work better as EDM and some not, but it is up to preference. If you do plan to make an EDM remix of Stronger Than You eventually, I'd love to check it out!

The last episode could end with rose in extreme pain, as she starts to glow, and the screen fades out... Crying, a infants crying. Then we see the best fucking collage of scenes from the original show, and future...plus the movie. I'd fall in love.

I've had a scene for this arrangement going on in my head for a while now, mostly basing off Patrick Susulin's idea about a SU Movie. Picture this, it is the final battle for earth. The diamonds have arrived as a last ditch effort to stop the Crystal Gems and have brought a massive army with them. The crystal Gems are prepared to fight, Connie, Greg, and many of their friends from Beach City by their sides to help anyway they can, since Gem technology doesn't affect humans. The CG's are at the front of the line, with Garnet leading them and Steven and Connie behind them. The diamonds come out of their ships and decide there's only one true way to end this all. Fusion. All three diamonds, yes three, fuse together to form TriDiamond (couldn't think of a better name, feel free to come up with one for me!). Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl, fuse together and the battle becomes Alexandrite VS. TriDiamond, while the HomeWorld gem soldiers pour out of the ships to battle. Steven and Connie fuse together and Stevonnie makes short work of many gems and all of their friends and gem friends help with the battle (I feel like Bismuth and Jasper would have been redeemed by now and are part of the Crystal gems now, maybe even Mystery Girl is there!). The battle appears to be in their favor at first, until Stevonnie gets slightly wounded and this causes Alexandrite to have a brief lapse in Her concentration, leading TriDiamond to deal a finishing blow and separate the three of them. With Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl off to the side reforming slowly, TriDiamond approaches Stevonnie and the sudden approach of TriDiamond sends a flood of emotions through Stevonnie, causing her to separate as well. TriDiamond knocks Connie to the side and two gem soldiers grab Steven, holding him in place as TriDiamond gives a short monologue on how the great leader of the rebellion, Rose Quartz, will finally fall by her hand and pay for the crimes she has committed. She draws her weapon (in my mind, it's a double sided war hammer that separates in the middle to become a sword and shield.) She raises the hammer in triumph and begins to bring it down, but before it gets close to Steven, he is pushed out of the way. There's a split second before it hits the ground and he looks at the person who just sacrificed their own life for his. Garnet. He yells out her name, but it's too late. Deep inside, Ruby and Sapphire have accepted this fate, knowing that the rest of Sapphire's vision is sure to come true. The sound that comes from the hammer striking her and the ground stops the whole battle as it shakes the ground for miles. Everything else is silent as the dust settles. TriDiamond raises her hammer and two gems are revealed, a ruby and sapphire, shattered. Steven is in shock as he slowly walks over to the gems, no one, not even TriDiamond, stops him. He carefully picks up all the pieces, holding them close to his chest and starts breathing fast, thoughts and panic racing through his head. It's only a moment after that he stands up, pocketing the shards. He slowly turns towards TriDiamond, calmer than anyone should be, and draws his sword. All of his emotions build up inside him, anger, grief, pain, everything, and it seems to flow into the sword as it begins to glow brightly. He runs towards TriDiamond and jumps into the air, going to strike at her. TriDiamond blocks with her shield, having pulled the war hammer apart. Steven yells at her, "It didn't have to be like this!" He uses the shield as a launch pad and jumps higher into the air, going for another strike, shouting again. "I never asked for any of this!" TriDiamond blocks the hit again, but to everyone's surprise, Steven's sword manages to break the shield. Before she has a chance to swing back with her own sword, Steven plunges his sword into her chest. A moment of shock passes through TriDiamond before she poofs, three diamond gemstones landing on the ground. Silence is heavy as things calm down before everyone, now realizing the war is finally over begin cheering. The HomeWorld soldiers cheering as well, no longer under the tyranny of the Diamonds. Amethyst and Pearl are quick to grab the gemstones and bubble them before looking to Steven. The sword is on the ground next to him and he's on his knees, staring down at his hands, Ruby and sapphire's gem shards in them. He whispers to them, tears flooding his eyes. "I didn't want to hurt anyone..." He holds the shards to his chest as he begins to cry, grief and loss taking over. No one wants to disturb him, mostly because they are all crying as well for the loss of a good friend and ally. Before Steven can even stand up, the shards in his hands start glowing. He stares at them, eyes wide, and watches as they begin to form together, not as two separate gems, but one single gem. it shakes in his hands and he nearly drops it but it begins to float up, several shapes are seen in the light until one remains and the light starts to fade. It's Garnet, looking just as shocked as everyone else before her eyes fall on Steven. She touches her visor and it vanishes, revealing three tear-filled eyes. She grabs Steven and wraps her arms around him tight, hugging him. "Steven.... Thank you...." What Steven somehow did, was not only fix two broken gems, but combine them. Garnet was now her own gem, free to be herself and keeping Ruby and Sapphire together forever, never to be split apart again. Sorry if this all seems like a cluster fuck haha. I guess I just a very vivid imagination. Please, leave comments if there's anything you think it needs or if if you think I'm crazy for even typing this all! I just had to get this out there, it's been in my head for so long. Also, if you read the whole thing, you are amazing and thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings.

The simple fact of the matter is that we need a movie that takes place during the gem war. But, we also need Steven around or it won't be Steven Universe. So, perhaps that time thingy could come into play and have Steven play a very small part in the war.

It's a corny girl No doubt. It is definitely a marching snare. I have played snare as well as watched enough drum corp shows to recognize a clean snare.
Baggz As a kid in the marching band, that is definitely a marching snare! I kinda knew that but because I'm so used to the sound, I didn't realize it was until you commented on it! Thank you for that! Also, I think the marching snare works fantastically with the song, as it does work quite well for a war, and marching off to fight, which is essentially what it is. All I can see is Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet, lead by Rose marching to face the Homeworld gems, powerfully, strongly, proudly, and head on!!!
I was bobbing my head from the start, but 1:18 is what sold it for me. I'm a Bass drum in my marching band, so hearing the snares, tenors, and basses used in this, was amazing to hear! If only our line was that clean with their notes XD

deffdefying the old animation would take double time and it was really goddamn pricey, so we have a simpler style now

I've had a scene for this arrangement going on in my head for a while now, mostly basing off Patrick Susulin's idea about a SU Movie. Picture this, it is the final battle for earth. The diamonds have arrived as a last ditch effort to stop the Crystal Gems and have brought a massive army with them. The crystal Gems are prepared to fight, Connie, Greg, and many of their friends from Beach City by their sides to help anyway they can, since Gem technology doesn't affect humans. The CG's are at the front of the line, with Garnet leading them and Steven and Connie behind them.
The diamonds come out of their ships and decide there's only one true way to end this all. Fusion. All three diamonds, yes three, fuse together to form TriDiamond (couldn't think of a better name, feel free to come up with one for me!). Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl, fuse together and the battle becomes Alexandrite VS. TriDiamond, while the HomeWorld gem soldiers pour out of the ships to battle. Steven and Connie fuse together and Stevonnie makes short work of many gems and all of their friends and gem friends help with the battle (I feel like Bismuth and Jasper would have been redeemed by now and are part of the Crystal gems now, maybe even Mystery Girl is there!).
The battle appears to be in their favor at first, until Stevonnie gets slightly wounded and this causes Alexandrite to have a brief lapse in Her concentration, leading TriDiamond to deal a finishing blow and separate the three of them. With Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl off to the side reforming slowly, TriDiamond approaches Stevonnie and the sudden approach of TriDiamond sends a flood of emotions through Stevonnie, causing her to separate as well. TriDiamond knocks Connie to the side and two gem soldiers grab Steven, holding him in place as TriDiamond gives a short monologue on how the great leader of the rebellion, Rose Quartz, will finally fall by her hand and pay for the crimes she has committed.
She draws her weapon (in my mind, it's a double sided war hammer that separates in the middle to become a sword and shield.) She raises the hammer in triumph and begins to bring it down, but before it gets close to Steven, he is pushed out of the way. There's a split second before it hits the ground and he looks at the person who just sacrificed their own life for his. Garnet. He yells out her name, but it's too late. Deep inside, Ruby and Sapphire have accepted this fate, knowing that the rest of Sapphire's vision is sure to come true. The sound that comes from the hammer striking her and the ground stops the whole battle as it shakes the ground for miles. Everything else is silent as the dust settles.
TriDiamond raises her hammer and two gems are revealed, a ruby and sapphire, shattered. Steven is in shock as he slowly walks over to the gems, no one, not even TriDiamond, stops him. He carefully picks up all the pieces, holding them close to his chest and starts breathing fast, thoughts and panic racing through his head. It's only a moment after that he stands up, pocketing the shards. He slowly turns towards TriDiamond, calmer than anyone should be, and draws his sword. All of his emotions build up inside him, anger, grief, pain, everything, and it seems to flow into the sword as it begins to glow brightly. He runs towards TriDiamond and jumps into the air, going to strike at her. TriDiamond blocks with her shield, having pulled the war hammer apart.
Steven yells at her, "It didn't have to be like this!" He uses the shield as a launch pad and jumps higher into the air, going for another strike, shouting again. "I never asked for any of this!" TriDiamond blocks the hit again, but to everyone's surprise, Steven's sword manages to break the shield. Before she has a chance to swing back with her own sword, Steven plunges his sword into her chest. A moment of shock passes through TriDiamond before she poofs, three diamond gemstones landing on the ground. Silence is heavy as things calm down before everyone, now realizing the war is finally over begin cheering. The HomeWorld soldiers cheering as well, no longer under the tyranny of the Diamonds.
Amethyst and Pearl are quick to grab the gemstones and bubble them before looking to Steven. The sword is on the ground next to him and he's on his knees, staring down at his hands, Ruby and sapphire's gem shards in them. He whispers to them, tears flooding his eyes. "I didn't want to hurt anyone..." He holds the shards to his chest as he begins to cry, grief and loss taking over. No one wants to disturb him, mostly because they are all crying as well for the loss of a good friend and ally. Before Steven can even stand up, the shards in his hands start glowing. He stares at them, eyes wide, and watches as they begin to form together, not as two separate gems, but one single gem.
it shakes in his hands and he nearly drops it but it begins to float up, several shapes are seen in the light until one remains and the light starts to fade. It's Garnet, looking just as shocked as everyone else before her eyes fall on Steven. She touches her visor and it vanishes, revealing three tear-filled eyes. She grabs Steven and wraps her arms around him tight, hugging him. "Steven.... Thank you...." What Steven somehow did, was not only fix two broken gems, but combine them. Garnet was now her own gem, free to be herself and keeping Ruby and Sapphire together forever, never to be split apart again.
Sorry if this all seems like a cluster fuck haha. I guess I just a very vivid imagination. Please, leave comments if there's anything you think it needs or if if you think I'm crazy for even typing this all! I just had to get this out there, it's been in my head for so long. Also, if you read the whole thing, you are amazing and thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings.

As a kid in the marching band, that is definitely a marching snare! I kinda knew that but because I'm so used to the sound, I didn't realize it was until you commented on it! Thank you for that!
Also, I think the marching snare works fantastically with the song, as it does work quite well for a war, and marching off to fight, which is essentially what it is.
All I can see is Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet, lead by Rose marching to face the Homeworld gems, powerfully, strongly, proudly, and head on!!!

I was bobbing my head from the start, but 1:18 is what sold it for me. I'm a Bass drum in my marching band, so hearing the snares, tenors, and basses used in this, was amazing to hear! If only our line was that clean with their notes XD
