A Symphonic Metal Tribute To Steven Universe

- I love this show, it's got some great characters, entertaining stories, just the right amount of absurdity and a lot of heart. It's also got a wonderful soundtrack, courtesy of the talented duo of Aivi & Surasshu, whose jazz piano + chiptune style has some interesting parallels to my own metal + orchestra approach. So here's my tribute to the wonderful music of Steven Universe, a 12 minute whirlwind tour of Steven's world done in my usual Symphonic Metal style. Translating some of this music led me in some rather odd directions, but I had a lot of fun doing this :)

Cartoon Networks trailers for this show made it look PAINFULLY stupid, but I'm glad I watched it. The characters are so beautifully developed and the story arcs so intricate that I have to admit I'm addicted to this show! The tragic character that is Pearl. :-( You sir have paid a magnificent homage to this wonderful animation. Thank you.

And that's what this. Music which can be weak on its own, but when it's together, it's stronger then you.
White Diamond said she’s “every color of the light” in Change Your Mind/A Battle Of Heart and Mind, but since white is the complete absence of color, she’s actually completely colorless. She blocked out any and all “color” or impurity she saw, so I think it’s a good metaphor for her overall state of being.

Actually White reflects all color, it is all color, like blue absorbs all light except blue and reflects blue light, black is the color that is nothing.
@@icetheirken I have a theory as to why White says "her impurities suck up all the blue in her spectrum" when referring to Yellow. So Yellow reflects only yellow light, which means she can only feel anger. This also goes for Blue (sadness) and Pink (happiness). White is every colour, but this also makes her not exhibit any emotion. She is just emotionless and perfect, but not really active, or "alive" in that sense.

White light contains the entire light spectrum in it. This can be seen with a prism. White light contains literaly every other color in it.
R.I.P. This show has lasted for 7 years, and will go on for even longer as a memory. Ive been watching since a blue gem came into our hearts for 2 episodes and camd back to be much greater. I have watched it up until the finale of Steven Universe Future (which comes out in 2 days) Goodbye.

I just thought of something, can the characters in show hear the sound track? When you think about it, when they sing, it matches up with the music. If they can't hear it, then it would just be people spontaneously singing to nothing. But if they can hear it, don't they get confused by the universe beginning to play music at certain times. LoL, I don't know, that just popped in my head

It would also explain why Steven and the other human characters usually actually play instruments along when they're singing, unlike the gems, who do it just spontaneously. The ties to music and gemkind are also interesting to consider when you remember that the thing that caused the corruption was also described briefly as a 'song'. Hmm...

I've learned over the years that fandoms are not necessarily bad, just certain parts. There's always going to be bad eggs, but you shouldn't let them ruin your experiences with a fandom, nay, what the fandom is for.

Steven Universe will always have a special place in my heart, sure the following seasons weren't exactly as good as the first but it still gives off such a good atmosphere that really overwhelms me. This show rocks (no pun intended).
Can we talk about the trasition from opal to sugilite? IT WAS EPIC!
Anyone wants Cartoon Network to make an MMORPG for Steven Universe? Not like the flash games we played, but a fantasy download-to-play game where you can travel anywhere from Homeworld Gem to Earth to another, tame a non-gem power creatures, character/human/gem creation and weapon/elemental powers choosing (different ability and types), choose one of the four colored diamonds (blue/white/yellow/pink), become a fusion with friends, design you and your friend's fusion design together and can be saved for finish later, upgrades, roaming, beautiful graphic like JOURNEY, Good story cutscene, beautiful animations, warp pads, more skills, time travel (maybe), is a pre-gem wars timeline, hidden hell boss levels like Lapis Lazuli, annoying mini-puzzles, combos, over 500 missions, is not a grinding game (every pros hate grinders), Do-It-For-You Event Quests (Most difficult quests), missions, badass background theme when moving to another map/area, relationship status, funny moments, mentor vs. apprentice battle, duel, and finally clan wars.

I've been a Pokemon fan for years. I was always embarrassed to announce that because of what other fans always put on Deviant art. Plus, no matter how I worded a search in google images, the really messed up stuff was always on the first few rows.
This show is different. I haven't found anything gross or disturbing yet on the Internet. Though, to be fair, I haven't really tried to find anything like that.

this show is seriously underrated, you can't even compare this with adventure time, it's sad to see that so much people have adventure time merchandise everywhere in my school when they probably don't even watch the show.

+Vinneh-Senpai It's mainly to do with how SU is aired about twice a day and AT is aired 10 times a day.
Daniel Boulom where I live it is aired around 10 times a day.
+Vinneh-Senpai SU and Gravity Falls are both underrated. SU actually has songs that aren't cringe-worthy to me, and it seems as if a lot of effort were put into creating the songs, and show in general.
+Jackmeups Stuff gravity calls is quite underrated. it's a great show, I don't know why.
