So should 1 completely Ignore the thoughts he’s getting. I try to but it’s so difficult as I start questioning the thoughts I get and ask myself if you really had faith and full tawakul you wouldn’t think about this stuff so there’s something wrong your doing and then I start thinking about it again and again and it keeps going on and it’ll settle down for like 10 15 min and then pop up in my mind again and it’s just an ongoing process and has been for the past few weeks and idk what to do anymore
Dealing with waswas requires a conscious effort to redirect your mind and break the cycle of intrusive thoughts. Here are some practical steps: 1. Change Your Environment: If you’re in a room, step outside or move to a different space. A change of scenery can disrupt the pattern of repetitive thoughts. 2. Engage in a New Activity: Shift your focus by doing something productive or enjoyable, like reading a book, cooking, exercising, or engaging in a hobby. The key is to fully immerse yourself in the activity. 3. Avoid Isolation: Being around people can help ground you and provide a sense of normalcy, making it harder for intrusive thoughts to dominate. 4. Break the Cycle Physically: Activities like taking a walk, going to the gym, or swimming can help reset your mental state by engaging your body and diverting attention. 5. Be Mindful of Patterns: If certain settings or actions trigger waswas, avoid them when possible. Train your brain over time to associate those moments with calmness rather than distress. 6. Practice Letting Go: When the thoughts arise, acknowledge them without engaging. Let them pass instead of dwelling on them. 7. Stay Ahead of Shaytān: Remember that waswas is a tactic of Shaytān. Seeking refuge in Allāh through dhikr, reciting A’udhu billahi minash Shaytanir Rajeem (I seek refuge in Allāh from the accursed Shaytān), and staying consistent in salah are powerful defenses. Over time, your mind will learn to let go of intrusive thoughts more easily as you establish healthier mental habits.
I dont understand what the shaykh meant by ”total abadonment” in the second typ of waswas? Can someone explain? Because he Said that You should not leave of anything because of waswas?
That is complete avoidance. If you were to avoid doing an act of worship because of wiswas You're deceiving yourself by thinking your avoiding waswasa, when infact you are actually responding to it. The only way to completely avoid it is to keep doing the act of worship, my brother. The Shaytaan wants you to be away from the straight path. And he doesn't care how he does it. I ask Allah to heal you if you're suffering from this, and I ask Allah to protect you if you're not.
@@HamzaFirozKhan I am suffering from wierd wiswas. I am judging everyone in my head and because of it i am unable to talk to them with my heart. It seems a burden. Though i use to talk to them very normally before. Always thinking who has more and who has less, what stuffs they use, etc...though i dont care but they keep coming...as a result i am unable to communicate with anyone... i am unable to sleep properly, and 1 hour i feel i can do everything, next hour i feel i cannot, i am doing ruqya also upon myself, i started memorizing Quran and understanding islam upon the understanding of salaf, and got of some sins like watching dramas,.i had a faced a trauma also,(due to family stuffs), I am not able to understand what is the cause of feeling this way...that family trauma or trying to practice islam? is it anxiety, or evil eye and waswas from shaytan...?
Of course the thoughts are horrible and confusing, but seek refuge in Allah from the cursed shaitan and then ignore whichever thoughts shaitan brings, after 1 thought is over he will try another one. But you have to not react to it and distract yourself from that thought. And if its clear in your head don't feel guilty as it's from shaitan and not you. Just ignore it
