The problem with the Cycloid Emperor is that his rockets are weak, like 0-140, while the Cyberdemon's rockets can deal between 200 and 300 if it includes both missile and area damage. Also, the Cycloid Emperor shoots in spreads, most of them missing the Cyberdemon, while Cyberdemon rockets always hit the direct target. Also, the Cycloid's bubble breath is weaker than its own rockets.
Well, what i can see that led the Cyberdemon to victory (save for its one loss) is that it was accurate and aggressive. The Emperors were missing more than anything else and hitting each other.
like mancubus i get the feeling the Cycloid will be insane in large numbers like a 50vs50 that spread out volley of missles in nightmare might win em the match
ufff!!! a real duel of Titans and it is incredible that the cyberdemon can beat Duke Nukem's Cyclops Titan and the music makes it even cooler. ufff!!! un verdadero duelo de Titanes y resulta increíble que el ciberdemon pueda vencer al titán cíclope de Duke Nukem y la música lo hace aún más genial.
Hes like a Boss version of Mancubus lol, i never realized the stomping attack was an "attack" and thought it was just something that happened if you got too close. (like I didnt know he stopped doing his normal attacks to go for stomps) Thank you though!
This is a horrible miss-match since the Cycloid Emperor is attacking using Duke Nukem 3D rules. For example, in that game, there is a trample mechanic, where large foes can crush the Player by running over them. In this video, we see the Cycloid Emperor trying to use this mode of attack on the Cyberdemon, which doesn't seem to work.On top of that, the missiles it fires seem to have the same damage value as in the game it comes from, which operates on a different damage threshold. I'd like to see a rematch once the Cycloid Emperors issues are addressed.
I knew about the insta-death in game from the stomp, I think the Boss Battlelord has it too. But seeing it here, I never realized he actually stopped all other actions to do it, I thought it was just a side effect of getting too close to him. I know hes not immune to splash damage either though by Duke rules, I remember when I fought the mini one you fight on your way to the inferno one, he damaged himself by shooting the wall in front of him. So he actually hurts himself with his own rockets- likely why they coded these guys to not use the rockets at a close enough range. Still, theyre both the coolest "boomer shooter" bosses of the 90s :)
I was thinking the exact same thing. You can’t just port enemies from different games with varying values and scripts and drop them into a foreign code. The visitor is almost always at a disadvantage in these matchups
yeah its hard to tell in Duke 3D becuz it shoots in a spread pattern, but 1 rocket can still kill you so its enough to not stand still and keep moving and kill it quickly. i assumed it would still launch some rockets directly on target the way 1 fireball always does from Mancubus, but i guess not. Unfortunatly the best range for that kind of accuracy/soread is when he stops using that attack and goes into the breath attack.
Hey, talking about alternative games add monsters from the Bloom crossover in the mix. Only thing I don't know is there a compatible with GZdoom Blood mod to have the mixed monsters compared to both their parent mobs.
If we end up with Serious Sam 3 monsters, keep in mind that the last boss is a Titan to other Titans. (2 bosses, but we only generally fight one.) "Are you two having an ugly contest? I'll make it easy, you BOTH win!"
It doesnt, from far away most of its shots are still gonna miss, up close its gonna get staggered too much. That is assuming the Stomp attack gets fixed or removed. it doesnt appear to work at all outside of its proper game.
no he doesnt. Its why they use the breath attack when they get too close to something. I remember in the episode that had the inferno Cycloid, theres a smaller one you fight that can hurt itself on a wall/car while shooting at you. I doubt the splash wouldnt make a difference here though, the accuracy of the Cyber-Demon is perfect for this kind of fight. The Emperor probably accels at the same kind of fights the mancubus does though, im guessing.
This fight is very unfair: Bosses in DN3DOOM are not inmune to splash damage, whilst vanilla doom bosses are, this is the biggest factor that decides the match. If you want to make it fair, you should make the cycloid fight dn3doom's cyberdemon (actor "doom_cyberdemon") which is already buildified (made with build rules in mind), or make the cycloid inmune to spash damage too.
I always wanted to see this fight, but I never even thought about the overlord, he is way more accurate and doesnt have a secondary attack besides maybe a melee attack. Gonna come down to damage and Health honestly. Id watch it :)
The original Cyberdemon is and always will be the king of video game monsters.
Yes
triky matches yea

Also, the pain state was too often, which hurt it the most…
Cyberdemon is the finest example of simplicity over everything
i honestly don't like its design. having a weapon that practically one-shots you isn't fun and doesn't fit with the rest of the game.
Cycloid Emperor forgot to take his Adderall again. 😅
Cyberdemon: "it's time to chew bubble gum and I ran out of gum"
Wait, where are the cheerleaders and the Duf Zeppelin? 😅
This Cycloid didn't Attack Like in Duke Nukem 3D's!
It's down to you and me~!! you one-eyed Freak !! By Duke Nukem
This Cycloid is too Gentle
In Duke Nukem 3D Cycloid Always Attack When he Got Hurt
yeah the AI is pretty bad.
Well, what i can see that led the Cyberdemon to victory (save for its one loss) is that it was accurate and aggressive.

This has been another episode of: Humiliating the -Cyberdemon- / Cycloid Emperor.
like mancubus i get the feeling the Cycloid will be insane in large numbers like a 50vs50 that spread out volley of missles in nightmare might win em the match
Mancubus but with AoE damage and way more health should make for a good time.
Exactly how I felt with the last level in Legacy of Rust. The Tyrant volleys are so hard to dodge.
1:38 My goodness! He exploded in my face! I outta sue!
now this is what iv wanted! doom vs duke nukem 3d!! would love to see more doom vs duke 3d monster infighting
ufff!!! a real duel of Titans and it is incredible that the cyberdemon can beat Duke Nukem's Cyclops Titan and the music makes it even cooler.
ufff!!! un verdadero duelo de Titanes y resulta increíble que el ciberdemon pueda vencer al titán cíclope de Duke Nukem y la música lo hace aún más genial.
The Cyberdemon just wipe the floor with it
All this did was make me realize how bad I was at dodging cycloid missiles when I was younger. I used to think they were so accurate lol

New Dewd just seems to spray'n'pray.
Friendly fire damage, too? Looked like each one would moan and wince when getting zapped by one of their own.

@@CorvusNoctem yeah, the Diablo matches are proof of that! lol
oh my goodness the projectile accuracy on the cycloid emperor is atrocious, no wonder it lost.
yeah its hard to tell in Duke 3D becuz it shoots in a spread pattern, but 1 rocket can still kill you so its enough to not stand still and keep moving and kill it quickly.

Any chance on seeing the other Colorful Hell monsters?
I'd like to see the white EX and black EX archviles in action
Hey, talking about alternative games add monsters from the Bloom crossover in the mix. Only thing I don't know is there a compatible with GZdoom Blood mod to have the mixed monsters compared to both their parent mobs.
Do Doomguy vs. Duke Nukem
If we end up with Serious Sam 3 monsters, keep in mind that the last boss is a Titan to other Titans. (2 bosses, but we only generally fight one.) "Are you two having an ugly contest? I'll make it easy, you BOTH win!"
But how do either of them take hits from the BFG 9000?
The Spider Mastermind at least has accuracy
It doesnt, from far away most of its shots are still gonna miss, up close its gonna get staggered too much.
That is assuming the Stomp attack gets fixed or removed. it doesnt appear to work at all outside of its proper game.
Hi! Can you do Cyberdemon vs NME from Rise of the Triad?
That Cycloid was joking and he didn't act as he does in DN
Cycloid Emperor is huge but he's weak.
Chamem o Duke Nukem pra chutar o olho do Cycloid Emperor.
I'm guessing the Cycloid Emperor doesn't have the splash-damage immunity the Doom bosses enjoy?
no he doesnt. Its why they use the breath attack when they get too close to something.

Blow, this Cycloid is ugly.
Overlord would wipe the floor with the Cyberdemon given he fires twice the rockets, and they're not spread mini-rockets
I always wanted to see this fight, but I never even thought about the overlord, he is way more accurate and doesnt have a secondary attack besides maybe a melee attack. Gonna come down to damage and Health honestly.
Id watch it :)
lets see the shotgun pigs vs shotgun guys!!
my moneys on the pigs as they can tank a shotgun blast at least. but thats assuming we give them the same damage
Or Pig Tanks VS Mancubus
