Wow, that reveal about the true nature of mini-Drew's content could go toe-to-toe with any hbomberguy second-half twist. I was having a good time laughing at the animations and imagining "The Super Stickman Brothers Go to the Slaughter Hut" as a parody of Harold and Kumar only to get served with a big ol' helping of serial plagiarism. Bravo!

Man, I love the gizmo inspired drawings throughout the video! He was a huge inspiration to me as well. Back in the early 2020s he used to run a game review blog and write articles for some sites but I have no idea what he's up to nowadays. I miss hatena, I really do. Regardless, thank you for telling us your history on the platform!

I really loved Flipnote as a kid, but I didn’t know how to connect to the internet I think? I only saw flipnotes on youtube on my old flip phone.
The main thing I made on Flipnote was a little series of Mario and Luigi vs Evil Clone Mario and Luigi. And remember that like. One of the things I did was have one of the bros die, but the evil clone of that bro was zapped by lightning and became good and effectively just replaced the original bro. They were just little stickfigure guys but I tried to make them move around screen and stuff

hey! im currently working on my own video essay about flipnote/flipnote hatena :D there was actually a flipnote hatena equivalent for flipnote studio 3d (flipnote gallery: world) it just never released outside of japan... which was probably for the better because they made it a paid service where you had to pay a small fee to do ANYTHING.. anyways this was a fun video, im glad to see how much of a positive effect flipnote had on others, even though it ended over a decade ago now D:
