Yeah, her voice is flawed, but she's tiny (I always thought that was important, Mimi is a heroin addict...), she's raw, she's young and fun, and she KILLS it. She has insane energy. I always found her the most believable as a 19 year old junkie S&M dancer.
WOW was this broadway, tour...? she's incredible, she looked coked out this entire video, her sound is fantastic! her character in general was outstanding, i have never believed a Mimi more!!!!! BRAVO!!!!
I love the intensity and roughness of Jaime. It fits the character of an SM stripper on coke. Amirite? I love the movie version too! Don't get me wrong! But this is the edge that Mimi is meant to have.
Tim is so amazing, you can't judge by the video. Tim's acting is probably the best out of any Roger. His singing too. I Love Adam and all but he just doesn't act it that great, but he is a wonderful singer. Jaime is wonderful too, her and Renee are the best :]
I think Renee is my favorite Mimi, and I love the way she did this song, but I also love the way Daphne does it. And the only other two I've seen is Jamie and Rosario, and they weren't bad either.
im sorry but im a sucker for Adam Pascal as my favorite Roger and Renee is probably my favorite Mimi (well Daphne too i love that rough edge in her voice) these two are good but yeah like i said i'm in love with Adam's voice and acting and Renee is like wow!! yeah thats it lol =D
I agree, they are no OBC or Movie cast, but I actually like them. Mimi can get a bit screamy, but you can't trust a recording. You never know how messed up the audio can be. Loved the dancing and it seems like this was a good production. I wanna see Angel!!! =D
she is great. perfect for a part like that. hes good too but the role isnt for him. his voice is too classical and roger's voice in my opinion should be rougher/ edgy. not saying he is bad at all though hes a really good performer!!!
TRANSIS: please look up Renee Goldsberry so you can see how its done...this looks sloppy...Renne looks crisp and forcefull which is what Mimi is in this scene..she wants to go out!

I like the play a lot. But I think think Rosario Dawson did a much better rendition of Out tonight. I realize hers is a polished version versus this one being live. But I think Rosario uses much better inflection in her voice.
