It’s really linear but damn do you recognize the authenticity and effort that the studio put in to be respectful to service members in MoH 2010 & Warfighter. Even after I enlisted I still enjoyed the campaigns, unlike crap like The Hurt Locker
Ngl, of all modern military FPS games, Warfighter is arguably my favorite. The detail in the control schemes and gameplay, the campaign, the multiplayer, it all just felt so good.
To coincide with the launch of this game, Danger Close partnered with a bunch of companies to make promo gear branded with MOH and they also had a special edition of the game only available for former and active duty military. They also launched Project Honor which was a charity for the families of fallen SOF members. As part of that charity they partnered with LBT a company that makes backpacks for duty use, and they put out their own digital camo in the same design as AOR1, the digi-camo used by SEALs during the 2010s. It's unobtainium at this point but the run of the camo was given to the SEALs and a few other Tier 1 guys, as well as just sold tot he general public who all said it was actually a pretty solid camo and performed well on the job. These guys legit cared about special forces members, and they legit wanted to properly honor the work they do.
Yes, you actually got a logo on your character when you played online if you purchased the game as a veteran. I want to say it was an eagle icon that I got when I played. Not really sure as it has been a long time since I played it. I thought that was different from a lot of other games that support veterans but in a more general way. I believe you also got a camo for your gun. That was only available to veterans. I am sure people probably complained about not having access to something that's in the game as they always do but I like that they stuck to their guns and didn't release it to the general public.
I really liked that the multiplayer had _A LOT_ of factions and not just the industry standard 2 or 3. I don't think I've ever seen a game include Sweden as a playable nation aside from MoH: WF and War Thunder.
This is a great campaign, second best MOH campaign after 2010. The timeline isn't hard to keep track of. Also the Blackbird info wasn't accidental, if you pay attention to what Dusty says in the cutscenes, he's the one establishing the timeline. Preacher left the Navy, got blown up, joined Blackbird, all while Dusty is maintaining observation on international affairs. That's how Dusty got the cell phone info. Dusty is the key to understanding the timeline. Also missing a FOV slider? Really? Man, online multiplayer games really ruined FPS games for people.
I really miss the medal of honor series. 2010 and warfighter were both great. I think now would be a good time for it to make a comeback i think it would do great especially with the Fortniteazation of call of duty and games in general now. I think it would scratch an itch many are subconsciously looking for.
lmao I've never had my comment screen grabbed and used in a video before. So happy you got to enjoy warfighter despite it's short comings. Good gunplay and mission variety trump whatever modern fps games are doing. Would love to see MoH make a come back. ( on the flat screen! )
Only played this campaign once on ps3 when friend borrowed his copy for me, still one of my favorite shooter experiences to this day. Way more immersive than most of the popular shooters, from around it’s time or even now. That supressive effect when enemies shot at your direction, over and around you was dare I say ahead of it’s time, still is and haven’t really seen it on major releases beside with someone on the enemy team having this one attachment of one weapon in Black Ops 4, would really like to see the suppressive effect replacing completely the screen just turning red and/or bloody before death in some shooters more in the future. Over ten years have passed and I still remember details like these from this game, such an underrated and more immersive game from the time it came. Sadly didn’t really have a lot of time to try out the multiplayer of it.
I was disappointed that I didn't get a chance to try multiplayer. I found a few groups who run it every once in a while, hoping to do a video on just the multiplayer at some point.
@@brian_davidplease do! The multiplayer was basically Modern Warfare 2019 but done better. Gunsmith, blue on blue combat, larger maps to accommodate 10 v 10 to allow more play-styles, even had a better version of COD’s hardpoint game mode BEFORE they came up with the hardpoint game mode lol. If EA gave Danger Close more polish time it would’ve been an all time great game. Still would’ve done poorly as it was in the middle of the BF vs COD war. Nowadays people would love the variety Warfighter offered. They NEED to bring it back smh
It really sucks that the multiplayer is no longer playable as I remember it being really good, from memory I would say it was a combination of battlefield and siege and it worked really well
Wasn't this the first MP fps game that did more with gun customization. I used to play it when it came out. It coulda been alittle better but it was cool
Great game. In the age of COD, I honestly thought this game felt more realistic and far more immersive. Would love to get a good remake of both games in the new Frostbyte engine.
It’s wild to watch long reviews of these older military games and compare them to the bombastic absurdity of new ones. There’s not a Nikki Minaj in sight
@ yeah. I don’t play much multiplayer shooters. I usually play stuff like resident evil 4 or I’m looking forward to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. I’m playing Stalker 2 right now but I dabble with some hell let loose or halo but I just always hated the aesthetic of Fortnite. Even when I had some friends kinda into at the beginning I wasn’t interested. It just looks like cotton candy and now it’s even worse and like you said, that look is bleeding over into every thing. I want stuff to look real
@ no offense but I don’t use discord. It’s a great game though. It’s the first one I’ve played. I got into metro last year and I know metro has some stalker DNA in it so it was great to play a STALKER game. I think it’s great. I always play way longer than I mean too. I think I’m about halfway through the story
I have always loved that game the campaign was great multiplayer could have been a lot better. The facial animation for some of the characters could have been a lot better. I love you because it actually made you feel and see what tier 1 operators go through in the battlefield and in their personal lives and all the sacrifices it takes a toll on.
That first mission is a really terrible way to start off the game because first of all, story wise you have no context of what is happening and secondly, they purposefully make your controls sluggish to try and look at all the cool spectacles. Taking control away from the player like the way they did Set a bad precedent for the rest of the game. I still like the game a lot but I'm aware of its flaws. Thank you for the video
I loved both the modern MOH games mostly for their impactful stories. Warfighters lean mechanic I wish was adopted by more games. Also i loved the synergies between different classes in multiplayer and the buddy system. The sniper ability with audio callouts like having a spotter was great. Played the multiplayer with a handful of people up until they shut down the servers. Plus they got all the licenses from real companies for the weapons and accessories. Wish we would get another modern entry
Before video comment: PREACH! After video comment: A Fast and Furious ‘Family’ joke? In this economy?? Game suggestion: May be hard to find, but check out Airborne Troops: Countdown to D-Day. It was one of those obscure WW2 games I played as a kid on PS2. It was a third person shooter with stealth elements. I remember having a blast playing that game.
Sadly the mission where your driving on the highway kept freezing for me and I could find another copy in my town so I never got the chance to enjoy it.
hello bud just seen the video, If I remember correctly there was an article online stating that WF originally ran on the Unreal Engine, I'll do my best to find it for you, but just giving you a heads up the minute I send you a link to the site or anything this will likely end up in your spam section so keep an eye on that, other then that great video, I actually respect how you went in further this time to the game unlike IGN etc
I loved the multiplayer back in the day but my parents took my xbox off me at the time to make me focus in my exams 😅 By the time i got it back the servers were dead on xbox. Wish id got more time on it in its prime
The game feel problem you're experiencing is linear mouse acceleration. To disable it install Notepad++, then navigate to My documents/MOHW/settings, and open PRO_SAVE_profile. Set GstInput.Scheme0Sensitivity and GstInput.Scheme1Sensitivity to 0.0
Warfighter is a fantastic game in my opinion. The biggest negative I have with it are the models used for the wife and child in the cutscenes. My goodness they are terrible. Sidenote: When I preordered MoH:WF, I got this dope wired controller for my Xbox 360 that had a fan inside it that blew cold air through the grips. Even though I preordered the game for the PS3, I still used it on my Xbox to play racing games.
Yea I also thought that there was something off with warfighter compared to the 2010 prequal ! I think Danger Close studio could have done a much better job with the game, before being closed down by EA, which I thought was way to harsh and a bad thing !
I really enjoyed this game when it came out, the online was not terrible but it wasn't great either, still enjoyable for what it was. Unfortunately a game like this could not do well today, the balancing act of staying true to how the game was and how games of this genre are today would have a significant impact on its success. If there isn't a sideways backflip shooting mechanic with seizure inducing movements, pronouns, "strong" women characters with modern feminist hair cuts and tag lines, irrelevant to the game skins, gender and racial swapped characters or a modern leftist ideology message pushed within its core story then it won't get fair coverage. I'm sure that I am not the only one that wants a pure military based game with military based operators, camos and missions. No nonsense smashed into it making it some gross version of a Fortnite clone. Anyways, I would love this game to be resurrected in either a remaster
As much as I liked the Modern MOH games, for me personally, Medal of Honor IS and WILL ALWAYS BE A WWII FPS Franchise. Medal of Honor should've NEVER went the modern warfare route, and stuck with the WWII theme, besides the Modern Warfare spiel had already been done to death. To rephrase what a great man had said, the problem is that EA made an impulsive decision. That decision being, simply just copying what the other guy is doing and trying to get a slice of that pie. A stupid, impulsive, life-threatening decision, that frankly, if you were running a franchise, and made that kind of decision, you destroy that franchise instantaneously. Not to mention, gaming "journalists" had contributed to the death of the franchise with their lack of interest and respect for WWII history.
Do you have a PS3 or PC? Can still play single player on those platforms as well as the 360. EA shut down the multiplayer servers for all Medal of Honor games in February 2023.

I've been saying this for a while now. Game is genuinely good.
Absolutely amazing shooter both in the story mode and Multiplayer

I absolutely LOVED Warfighter, it was just as definitive a game for me as Battlefield 3 and I loved its somewhat Zero Dark Thirty themes
I loved the buddy system to grab ammunition I remember thinking this should be in every FPS game going forward
I really liked that the multiplayer had _A LOT_ of factions and not just the industry standard 2 or 3.
I don't think I've ever seen a game include Sweden as a playable nation aside from MoH: WF and War Thunder.
Do the changes in factions have any effect on gameplay or is it just cosmetic?
@@_0_restart_0_ Aside from faction-specific weapons it was just cosmetic

0:55 yo dog you want some back up iron sights for your iron sights 😂
My god they need to bring back this game it needs a comeback
I loved the multiplayer and hoped on multiplayer occasionally on pc every now and then.
I was disappointed that I didn't get a chance to try multiplayer. I found a few groups who run it every once in a while, hoping to do a video on just the multiplayer at some point.

0:47 quick correction because im autistic but Battlefield 4 was made on their latest (at the time) engine Frostbite 3
Thanks, that was my bad for not double checking!

Right?? Hahaha. The Fortnite-ification of new games is horrific.

I would love a new medal of honor game set in an all new time period, maybe the introduction of the award back in the American civil war
I had really high hopes for this game. I liked it, but it’s still not great.
Aw man great video! I miss the online to this game, would give anything to play in a full server lol
If any game deserves a reboot and a remaster it’s def the MoH series
Nice video man, I personally really like this games campaign and multiplayer. Would you possibly review the OG Medal of Honor? 🎖
I have always loved that game the campaign was great multiplayer could have been a lot better. The facial animation for some of the characters could have been a lot better. Honestly played this more than BO2. BO2 was the first COD that bored me and Warfighter and BF were a great change of pace for me
This is a perfect take. Bonus points for shitting on IGN. S++
My favorite game of the series.

I played this game so much that my father started calling me preacher 😆
Sadly the mission where your driving on the highway kept freezing for me and I could find another copy in my town so I never got the chance to enjoy it.

Awesome! Subbing immediately
I always enjoyed Warfighter's multiplayer
I thought the visuals in Warfighter was to hazy and the textures was blurry !
The game feel problem you're experiencing is linear mouse acceleration. To disable it install Notepad++, then navigate to My documents/MOHW/settings, and open PRO_SAVE_profile. Set GstInput.Scheme0Sensitivity and GstInput.Scheme1Sensitivity to 0.0
It wasn't as good as Medal of Honor 2010 but it was enjoyable in my opinion. I have played the campaign twice
Knew it'd happen one day finally
I’ve said this since these games came out. It’s sad really i
Warfighter is a fantastic game in my opinion. The biggest negative I have with it are the models used for the wife and child in the cutscenes. My goodness they are terrible.

Given how bad games are now I can say MOH is a God of a game compared…
This game came out in the wrong time. If it came out today it would’ve done way better

Wasn't bad in the least. But it couldn't compete with BF4 and COD
Great video
Single player fov changer anyone??
I hate that I need a 360 to
Play this game.
Do you have a PS3 or PC? Can still play single player on those platforms as well as the 360. EA shut down the multiplayer servers for all Medal of Honor games in February 2023.
Warfighter > Black Ops II
Fight me.
No fighting here. There was a reason it was my jumping off point.
It was a fire shooter. The multiplayer was a blast. A great alt to battlefield with a slightly shorter ttk. A gem that died too soon. Rip
I played it twice..I liked it..I don't love it but I like it...
IGN dont play the games they review... This is common knowledge.
Max Payne 3 please 🙏
I would love to, the Max Payne series is one of my favorites.
Medal of Honor 2010 **IS** a bad game tho
Unpopular opinion, Warfighter is better than 2010...
It was poor, it killed the franchise
