I used to work at a supermarket on the richer side of the city and was a bagger and did many carryouts and had three different customers that would give me a $20 each time and many other tips lost count over my 6 years there until the supermarket chain owner called SuperValu decided to sell the stores, our location was the first to close as of 04/27/18 and worked its way down the list of 38 stores by having the option to take severance pay or help out with the other stores closing which that I did and the location i ended up at a Chinese guy bought it that runs a couple international markets got rights to the supermarket name and I stayed with the new owners but lost 20 hours of work and a lot of changes were made to the grocery aisles to make 4 aisles dedicated to just international foods only which is almost complete. I enjoy working there, no dress codes, way less strict and because of these videos I am starting to recover the lost hours by helping with stocking and the stocking manager is pleased with me and today he came up to me and told me he wants to move me to stocking and get my 5 days a week back 3 days of stocking and 2 days bagging up front soon which is exciting and this morning I also got a $4 tip just bagging a few items of this guys stuff which I didn't expect. I used to work at a supermarket on the richer side of the city and was a bagger and did many carryouts and had three different customers that would give me a $20 each time and many other tips lost count over my 6 years there until the supermarket chain owner called SuperValu decided to sell the stores, our location was the first to close as of 04/27/18 and worked its way down the list of 38 stores by having the option to take severance pay or help out with the other stores closing which that I did and the location i ended up at a Chinese guy bought it that runs a couple international markets got rights to the supermarket name and I stayed with the new owners but lost 20 hours of work and a lot of changes were made to the grocery aisles to make 4 aisles dedicated to just international foods only which is almost complete. I enjoy working there, no dress codes, way less strict and because of these videos I am starting to recover the lost hours by helping with stocking and the stocking manager is pleased with me and today he came up to me and told me he wants to move me to stocking and get my 5 days a week back 3 days of stocking and 2 days bagging up front soon which is exciting and this morning I also got a $4 tip just bagging a few items of this guys stuff which I didn't expect. The biggest takeaway from the location change is I hardly get tips which I am believing that I will receive money from other sources in the long run playing these videos.
