"Orphan"(2009) is an excellent mystery thriller movie! The ending was clever and very unpredictable!
It still is one of the best psychological horror movies I've ever seen! Never expected the ending to turn out like that. Love movies like this!
I love Isabelle Fuhrman! She was fantastic as Esther and loved her as Clove in The Hunger Games!
Yess! I saw her on the Hunger Games and started searching a little bit more about her, because she was shucking amazing as Clove, and I found this movie, but im scared of watching it...
She is an underrated actress, if she was a few years older she could have been katniss for hunger games

I think this is the first trailer for a movie that actually tells the truth. The plot twist is surprising and no one can even imagine, as much as you think you know about the "Orphan". I highly recommend the movie. Too bad the critics were quite divided, there were even chances of a boycott at the time (many moralists wanted the movie boycotted because it could "scare" people about adopting children. Which I think is nonsense that has nothing to do with it. It's just a movie). I hope the sequel has the same feel as the first film. Have a nice plot twist.

Sure it was just a movie but keep in mind something like this DID happen to family. It might be a movie but it was based around real life events

This is a gem in the horror genre.
This was awesome. Especially the twist. Though I wouldn't call this horror considering how I watched this at a young age with my friends and we weren't scared. Though we enjoyed it. It definitely is a must watch thriller though.
Edit: had to show the trailer to this movie to the class in school because we had to do our favorite movie and someone literally thought brenda was flying and that Esther started the fire with her mind-
Yh I was confused when I found out it's also a horror film I'd say it's purely a mystery thriller and probably the best mystery thriller I've ever seen
Well to be precise, a movie doesn't need to scare you in order for it to be called "a horror movie" The Halloween and Friday the 13th movies didn't scare me as a kid but they're still horror.

Watching a horror movie with friends is completely pointless, of course you won't be scared if you can laugh and comment on it with other people. It's a horror movie. Period. And I know this better than anyone cause I've watched this movie alone when I was 8 and of course it scared me.
@@dannyjorde2677 We weren't exactly laughing around but we did share questions we had with each other. It didn't take the fun out of it, but it was a bit more comforting. Usually I do watch horror movies at like midnight alone in my room though.
Edit: Some parts of it did scare me but not many. I know it's a horror movie, it just didn't scare me as much. It gave me more of a thrill and some chills like during the hammer scene but not as much as I had liked. I only full on got scared once during the movie.

Also, shouldn’t she have worn a turtleneck or scarf instead of ribbons? I mean, if one of those ribbons slipped, they would see her scars. And, not that anyone asked, but when she started screaming without an end because the girl tried to touch her ribbon, I laughed way more than I should have for some reason. Isabelle Furhman is an incredible actress!

😂 Those who adopt should first ensure by Mental tests that child doesn't have any mental disorder/disease/personality etc. which I think is difficult, and also do full history research.

The case you’re referring to is more recent, and about Natalia Grace - the parents that adopted her lied about her being an adult and changed her birth date, so although her “legal” age is of an adult, she’s in fact young.
