MTA New York City Bus 2023 New Flyer XE40 "Xcelsior CHARGE NG" 4965 On The M55

Seen here is New Flyer XE40 "Xcelsior CHARGE NG" 4965 operating on the M55 to South Ferry making its way through 5th Avenue.
This is the first of 60 buses that will be coming into the system. 4965 and 4966 are already in the system and will be touring the other depots expected to get these, which are East New York, Grand Avenue, Charleston & Kingsbridge. Jamaica was initially said to get some of these, but their current allotment is at 0.
Thankfully, they went with the long-range spec. 4965 has been out on the road from around 4-5am to 2am the following day, and pulls in to the depot with at least 60% of battery left over, which is remarkable when it comes to the potential of an all-electric fleet in the future. While I very much prefer our latest hybrid buses(and personally think we should've gotten more), these may turn out to be good after all.
These buses are powered by Siemens motors and power systems once again. I kinda wish the BAE or even the Cummins electric systems were offered for these, but this is also good.
