10 years later, New York feels weird without RTS
Ty for these videos please never take them down my brother has autism and loves buses and trains and the sounds of New York we were born n raised there at the moment we no longer live in NYC and he misses those sounds they make him happy so again I thank you

man i miss hearing the sounds of those buses. i remember when i was in 9th grade when the buses that started with 49XX,50XX & 51XX all came out around 1999-2000 and they had suede seats. man i miss living in NY

I visited that exact spot on Friday. It's just not the same without the RTS's around. And M66 service comes from Manhattanville (temporarily) as of April 2nd.

I miss when the M66 and M72 were purely RTS.
Where I am from this usually designates which transit center or "garage" where that bus comes from.
You don’t realize actually how slow they are since they make such a cool sound that makes it feel like it’s going really fast. These were the best busses ever and what started my interest in watching transit videos.

at 1:27, what does the '023' mean in the bottom of the screen? I'm guessing it's not the route number... I'm from the UK so sorry for my ignorance!
L0rM The 023 stands for the number of times the bus has been on a round trip on the route.

Well over 200, we have a lot left.
I tried looking on google for a up to date roster it looks like up to 364 RTS buses left. But I'm sure more were retired since that update. So it may be 200 plus are still working. Thanks
