The most egregious is the Rams no call by Los Angeles-based officiating crew. The New Orleans Saints franchise never ever recovered from that.
The conspiracy theorist in me says the refs gave the Rams the game because they’d more easily lose to the patriots, and they wanted to be sure Brady got one more ring before leaving the team. A Saints-Chiefs SB would’ve been far more exciting but we got the most boring SB in history instead.
In this collection it was by far the worst call (or non-call).

The Orlando Brown incident was definitely tragic. I feel for him on that one. I do find it hard to believe that the referee threw his flag with malicious intent to maim Orlando though. Really seems like a sad and unfortunate accident

The worst by far is when a ref threw a flag that blinded a cleveland browns player. Forcing him to retire. EDIT, didn't think it would make the list. I was a kid, that was crazy

My brother used to go on and on about how NFL games were rigged. I used to laugh at him. Now I’m beginning to believe he was right all along. Some of these are too awful to be mistakes.
Refs have to be biased. Told by owners what to do. Something. No way the players are involved, or at least most players. The word would definitely get out somehow
@@mraxe6429Nah. The orgs aren’t involved. It’s the gambling sites like DraftKings. Refs make bets, then make shit calls to ensure they get their payoff after the game. No one does anything because the refs union will shut it down and players/coaches get fined just for engaging refs at all.
I was the same then the game tonight has me convinced. The refs didn't call a blatant pass interference on dallas defence and then the refs LITERALLY stole the game from the Lions by taking 2 points off the scoreboard after they refused to call the pass interference on the 2nd to last drive with 4 mins left in the game.

The exact same situation that happened in the saints-ram game happened when I was a freshman in high school. One of our wide receivers was hit so hard his helmet flew off, the ball was no where near him when he was hit, and the refs did Jack shit. My coach was livid at that.

@@JayceBrock doesn’t work like that. You can hit the qb after TWO steps. After a third step if you hit the qb it’s roughing the passer. But regardless, these refs are human so there’s always that element in their decisions.

I disagree with a few of these but especially the one with the Jags vs Chargers playoffs. If players were allowed to act stupid and throw fits on the field after every missed call you'd see it more often. Refs miss calls all the time, not an excuse to act like a baby.

For years i defended the nfl against people claiming the game is rigged. I dont think the players know what will happen, but i definitely came to believe the refs absolutely and easily rig games. Probably by what the nfl wants idk. A former ref did say they talk before the game and are directed on what to concentrate on the most.
This has been admitted to in multiple professional sports.

The field judge on the bengals side of the field was blowing his whistle, waving his arms and running in before the ball was snapped. The play should have been stopped and never allowed to continue.

for the record, the NFL rule about being hit out of bounds states that the defender must make an attempt to avoid contact to an individual if or as they step out of bounds, Mahomes foot touched out of bounds before contact and the guy made no move to pull up, or avoid contact, thats why the penalty was called, even if the play was as close as you claim ( which it wasn't) its still a penalty

Refs should be fined at least $300,000 for every bad call and no call. Then if they ruin someone’s career by injuring a player then that ref should be responsible for the player’s medical bills and be removed AND fined. That would fix it since they’d do everything to avoid bad calls.

As a Vikings fan I was livid when that ref got in the way of Bynum, usually when the officials get get in between a play that could’ve been prevented they replay the down and the fact that they didn’t replay the down showed that the game was stacked against the Vikings

Ok, everyone says the chiefs are helped by the refs! If you actually look at the statistics, if you actually look instead of see something you don’t like and go crazy, then you will see that the chiefs are one of the most flagged teams in football since 2018 when mahomes took over the starting job. And when you look at some of the films, there are calls that are made in the other teams favor that are also questionable. That’s what a good team does. They are able to draw the flags in important moments.

The “suspect” holding call against the eagles in the Super Bowl is completely wrong I wish people would not use their eyes and look at the play because on a different camera angle you can clearly see Slay pull Juju’s jersey. And for the late hit out of bounds that was also clearly a flag because it was obvious Mahomes was going out of bounds and usually the defensive player doesn’t hit the QB when they have one foot out of bounds.
