Got to disagree on the better than god shattering star but I do agree is on lord of dead empire is fantastic track from game Honestly filled with good to fantastic music.
God-Shattering Star is perfect for finishing an epic battle in a happy, adventurous note. Lord of A Dead Empire is perfect for finishing an epic battle in a sad, melancholic note.
Fought Rudolf yesterday for the first time; I had actual goosebumps the entire time due to this theme It's just so epic that you can't help but feel yourself in Alm's situation, going 'gainst the ruler of a powerful militaristic nation only to learn that he was your birth father ); I'm already regretting not having made a separate save file after completing the map, because I want to replay it!!
Initially when I encountered this map for the first time, I was too stressed to take on Rudolf to really appreciate peak video game music- until I used all my special skills on Rudolf as Alm. 💀
The fight was intense, but this makes it sound even more. My units significantly being reduced, taking pauses to heal and strategize, and remembering how I defeated Rudolf by criting him TWICE with all those Barons cornering me, knowing if I fail I’ll be doomed.
How have I not heard this theme before? This is absolutely amazing! To bad I never had fire emblem echoes. I hope they do a remake so I can listen to this in-game.
Actually Echoes was a remake to Fire Emblem Gaiden, but this song is an original and not remade. Echoes is my all time favorite! Hopefully you'll get to play it some time!

Emperor Rudolf had one hell of a theme.
Yes he did have quite a battle theme
And unfortunately one hell of a weak fight
It was fucking epix
The Emperor of a land devoted to power, did not have the strength to fight his own son.
Or was he ruler because he had the strength to spare his son?

...shut up.
I like this one better than God-Shattering Star.
GSS sounds like "anime trying to do epic final boss OST". This is just a much better piece of music overall
God-Shattering Star is still miles above most TRPG music due to the name alone but nothing beats the grandeur this theme has
