  • I never knew about timing or tuning your rest until I came across a post on Archery Talk from user devinhal that really outlines it well. This is important because it will optimize how long the launcher arm supports the arrow. Too short, the arrow won’t stabilize itself before losing support from the rest. Too long, any torque you impart onto the bow will be more likely to impact arrow flight. I’m a visual learner so I wanted to put devinhal’s post into video form. See below for more information on optimizing your rest’s performance.

I have never done it this way but I really like it! Going to try this make sure I’m good. I use a draw board and check it but it’s a close guess so to say. This way ensures it’s right where it needs to be. Thanks!

Glad you liked it and hopefully it helps! The more stuff I know I’m good on, the more confident I end up being. Thanks for checking out the channel and taking time to comment!

What about tying to the floating yoke

I know some people do it but I’ve never tried. Obviously can’t adjust it but you could always try and see what the timing looks like. I’d be curious to know how it works out if you try it. Thanks for watching!

Did you happen to note on the arrow where it came up and dropped?
