I'm looking forward to the future with Miles. Such a great talent at such a young age. Best of luck to the young man. Let the blues run through you.

I think Kingfish is one of the greatest blues guitarist of this, or possibly any, generation. Adding Miles Hoyt to the band was an act of genius. Definitely agree with the posts below, he plays like Duane Allman. Would love to see this band live.

Thanks so much. I love Duane Allman, and I totally did a lick from One Way Out in there.

I think he is great, however, the best blues guitarist at the moment is Chris Caine. Ask Kingfish himself. Cain’s mentor was Albert King. Cain plays the best rhythm guitar when he plays with other greats that is just above anyone playing today.

@@nelsonsantiago651 Thanks for the tip. Just checked him out on RUclips. I see your point re: rhythm, and maybe it's a matter of taste, but I'm still going with Kingfish overall. Better voice and better solos. Also, yes, Albert King was incredible!

Yes sir my young bloods, Robert Randolph would be proud of your lap steel, and of course Duane Allman licks you pulling off, kingfish is a beast huh? You did good little man, I know it can be overwhelming playing in front of large crowds, but you handled it like a champ.
I'll share a little story real quick if you don't mind reading it... I'm and old man now, but my first time playing in front of a huge crowd was way back in 96 Olympics in Atlanta, I opened for the now departed Leon Russell, and Atlanta rhythm section, my young butt never heard of Leon before, 😂 so yes I was green, and only song I knew from ARS was spooky, I was oteil burbridge and aquarium rescue unit opening band for years around town, and at Smith's old bar, look up all these names and places I'm mentioning so you can learn your history if you never heard of them, it will give you a deeper understanding of southern jamband sounds.

Thanks for the kind words. I know the bands you mentioned, my parents have made sure to introduce me to all kinds of music.
I've been performing in front of audiences since I was six, and I've never gotten nervous before that night. I've been lucky enough to play for large crowds before and with some amazing musicians ( you can see on my youtube page). But I was nervous playing with Kingfish.
I am thankful to know him through the Pinetop Perkins Foundation Blues Masterclass, where I attend and he was once attended and was an intern before he made it big.

Excellent future before you if you take it…It is yours for the taking!
Will definitely be following you, and I have been following Kingfish since he was jamming on the streets at 14 !

Love the part where Miles & Kingfish are doing a modern day call & response like their ancestors did in the past, but sadly, under brutal conditions. I hope this kid has a great career ahead of him.
