As a singer/guitarist myself, it blows my mind how Dave can do those super intricate guitar lines while singing.
Even though Marty's guitar had no sound in first few songs, they still sounded tight with only Dave guitar playing.

i Thought Risk was pretty good. Dave’s voice is great here.
It's really not bad.
This album is bad for those who call it untrve Megadeth
Risk is a pretty decent album, but it really shouldn't have been released under the Megadeth label
All lovely & great tbh
The second half of the album is fantastic. The drama queens calling it the end of Megadeth need to calm their tits.
Risk пристойний альбом, мені подобається.
35:16 Dave should get more recognition for playing so well during the flying bra attack!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Say what you want about Megadeth and Dave Mustaine..like him or not!!
The guy is a Legend and has done so much for Heavy Metal
Real Musicians already know this!!!
I was at a different show on that tour. The band was tight and professional as ever, but you could sense something on stage, some vague feeling of alienation and frustration. It really was no surprise when Marty quit soon afterwards.
+Okkvltify
Marty had actually told Dave that he was quitting the band before they started recording Risk, out of respect for dave he stuck around to fulfill his contractual obligations rather than leaving them in a lurch by having to find a new guitarist while trying to produce and promote the album and rehearse for the tour and then split for good the day after the last show on the tour.
Yeah I remember seeing the DVD of this and noticing Marty seemed really awkward somehow.
but Marty was very professional even when he's about to quit. He actually taught Pitrelli backstage for few shows before he really left the band.
@@Hammerhead547 nope, Marty started thinking about quitting after Dave/management had his solo on Breadline replaced, ended up quitting for good in very late 99 when Dave said they needed to get back to thrash, left in early 2000
This was on a little public access tv station called "Iron Mike's Metal Videos". For like 2 years they played this concert every Friday night. My brother and I would watch it every single time it was on. Nostalgia.
Saw this tour in Toronto with Static X opening in a smaller-ish club called The Warehouse. It was like being next to 747 taking off. Brilliant
Another timeless classic!
Thank you my friend...
me encanta ver este video !!! no me canso de verlo :3 !!! gracias x subirlo!!!! MegadethizeD gracias!!
by this time marty was getting sick of megadeth... so sad....
Frank Figueroa I met Marty. Super nice guy
Gracias brother ¡¡¡¡
Jimmy DeGrasso is a beast! I wish the Risk line-up remained today
Yes loved Jimmy.
Jimmy después de menza el mejor batería que han tenido
its amazing how good and clean it´s dave rithym´s and well the solos a good playing era for him
this gig is fucking awesome
We can't hear Marty...
Best rendition of Sweating Bullets I've heard. Love this band.
you should listen that one night version
Great great show!! The Risk tour was my second time seeing Megadeth in concert and I had a great time. At the time the only song that I liked from Risk was Prince Of Darkness. I gave Risk another chance a few years ago and I actually like it. There are some great songs on it. One of my favorites is Time. Thank you for posting this show. It brings back a lot of great memories.
Yes Risk is a great 👍 Album 🤔I'll be there, breadline, the Doctor is calling, Time beginning and Time ends, it really is a good Album 🤷♂️ MEGADAVE RULZ 🐐 MEGADETH RULZ ☠️ MEGAFAN 4LIFE ☠️🙊🙉🙈🤘
Так, Time це шедевр.
Fantastic song list.
Great choice for an opener, but you couldn't expect anything less than great with Dave, and Marty on the lineup.
Dave... why is he so perfect!? D:
35:15 Dave was attacked by giant bra and gave no shit at all
1:02:23 Dave decide to check it out
I so luv this God of Thrash
Thanks...
I was at this show. I graduated High school that year and felt invincible in the pit, lol! Oh what 14 years does to you... :/
Now, how old are you?
@@guantazo332v2 40 on Monday
Wow!!!
It's cool it was recorded like this so you can relive the memories of that night
Set me free! Priceless.
At least Dave manage to keep his hair despite everything lol
Just watch megadeth concert in budokan japan with MARTY, then watch this concert,.....well, im in tears, a happy tears. Just like yesterday marty n megadeth is there for me. Im die hard of my MEGADETH...🤘🤘..im happy..
Is this on a DVD some place? I was at this show I would love to own this!
Some of thie came as a bones disc for megadeth Greatest Hits: Back to the start. But not the whole show I believe
I saw this tour in Detroit, in 1999 with Static X opening!!
Mind blown!!!
22:42 "Tis song's 'bout a lil fucken green man"
Agree, that makes a real difference. Marty rules!
347 mb only to transfert this video. a DVD is about 4 GB. PCM uncompressed sound + full uncompressed 720p DVD. - here we have something like: compressed 480p, and compressed sound + logo on bottom, + losing quality to transfert 480p.
Great show.. Megadeth is awesome !
Does anyone know what bass David Ellefson is using at the beginning? The black and white one.
+wildside53 Modulus Quantum 5.
Thank you!
What is the bass guitar that Ellefson uses in this concert? Still a shame with the controversy towards him and the band recently..
Modulus Flea 5 String / Funk Unlimited
I think this was one of Marty's last shows. Menza was fired in June/July of 1998
Was last night at Fillmore's Megadeth concert...how fucking things changed. (Show wise)
So sad to see Marty so unmotivaded.... near the end...
the shirt says it all
What video are you watching???
@@j.ochsenreiterin this one, dont you figer it?
💗💗
8:57 they forgot to turn on the guitar lol
thanks for the upload m8.
but the sound is bad :(
anyway thanks a lot :)
Saw the chandelier and said this must be The Fillmore, Denver in this case. But every city's Fillmore has great chandeliers.
1:04:20 - 1:04:55
God where can i get that jackson V
15:15
Dam 1:03:06 that hat ALMOST landed on Dave’s head that would have been soooo funny lol
LMAO looks like he almost grabbed it but decided not to cause his hair is done up
This should instead be called Dave Mustaine (with a bassist and drummer) - Live in Denver 1999 [Full Concert]
i was at that one! and the one prior!
It’s hard to watch this. Marty is completely checked out.
He slowly hated being in the band after the mid 90s. Even to this day he wants nothing to do with Megadeth....besides the royalties, of course.
Risk definitely isn't anywhere near Megadeth's best album but it's super underrated. It's not their worst. The songs are strong, even they are a bit poppy.
never the same after nick was gone wasn't the same band
They should play the doctor is calling
where's the 2013 show! Thanks btw!
Wow, Marty left less than 2 weeks after this show. Strange times. Also if you look at the Youthanasia sessions, he basically hates all the guitars back then that he's using for this show, funny to see him with them a few years later.
I love Marty no matter what
Prince of Darkness voltou a ser a introdução dos shows do Megadeth desde 2014 eu acho
ALWAYS, MEGADETH, SHOW US, WHY IS THE BETTER, TRASH-SPEED METAL, AWESOME MARTY AND THE POWER OF JIMMY, R DE BASE OF THEM, BUT ALWAY I'LL MISS 2 NICK...HE HAD VITALITY, 100%, METAL BUT LIFE'S GOES ON, EACH FORMATION SHOW US....YES, THIS IS "MEGADETH"....!!!! THKS 4 THE GIFTS.-
Fuck yeah!
Q buen temaso y buena er
Una ternura escuchar al colorado decir "Colorado" :D
By The Way , The Drummer Is Jimmi Degrassio , he was playing for David Lee Roth Before , This Is Aint Nick Menza
As far as I know menza was kicked out in 1996
He got Kicked Out in 1998 dude , right after Cryptic Writing
Because he was taking too much drugs , and Dave started to be sober , and Dave didnt wanted junckies un the band so he kicked him out , and right after the Metallica/Megadeth Show , Dave took another pills
oh yeah my bad... it was 1998...
Frank Figueroa its fine ^^
holy shit what the fuck happened with she-wolf? that was awesome as hell, jesus
I think we know who was ripped off, you'll find the answer in the dislikes.
On another note, 'The Doctor Is Calling' and 'Time' I & II are the greatest songs on Risk although I think all songs are actually very good. It's such an underrated album and even if Dave himself isn't fond of it, it's some of the best and honest material he's written. It made him write songs in a different way and people who can't get past Holy Wars can't appreciate that. ANYWAY! great album.
Ur right
Mixed feelings when listening to Breadline. Marty was playing Dave's solo.
Who is on the drums? Is it Nick? Can't recognize him
Jimmy DeGrasso
.
would’ve loves Risk as much as Youthanasia if it wasnt for Crush song
Crush'em is hype
I can`t hear the Marty´s guitar !!!!!
I Have Greatest Hits and Have this show bonus in CD
Only 7 songs on the DVD on that compilation, though...
54:17 looks like Marty's have a fun time beating his strat
It ain't Marty its Al
@@VANTAND it's Marty dude. Marty didn't quit till 2000.
@@tracksidebcofficial WHY DID THEY GET A HAIR CUT
@@VANTAND idk. My guess is cuz they went into more rock/pop.
Infinite flanger? lol
I believe it is the low band streaming artifacts back from the days of dial up and not a flanger as such.
Martys last gig?
how come the fuckin sound engineer, nor any of the band members realize that Marty's guitar sound is not there...?!!
what da fuck?!!!!!!!
Pretty sure it's a bad copy of the concert audio. It sounds like 2 left channels have been made into a false stereo track and has had some "stereo widening" applied to it hence the comb filtering and phasing artifacts. I'll bet the concert and shop bought dvd sound great.
I had to pay my step brother to give me ride to this show cause I was like 13. Watching this makes me feel so fucking old now.
You ain't gonna get any younger, lol. But you've got great taste in music, so you'll be ok, think young and you will be, argo.
marty guitar tone very small
chan rich
The company they paid to produce this was a fucked up mess. That's why the majority was never released
Not a bootleg, there is an original official DVD.
Yea but only half of the setlist . This is the full show.
Turned they down Marty's guitar? LOL
The end of 99 wasn't a good time for Megadeth. Risk production brought some fights amongst the members of the band and I reckon Friedman knew he was gonna leave Megadeth. But this set list was killer and I do really fucking dig this concert.
Me too.
" Lil` fuckin` green men "
.
No es muy de gran calidad que digamos el sonido, pero esta bueno.
I ALWAYS PREFERED MEGADETH. WAY MORE TECHNICAL. SYMPHONY OF DESTRUCTION WITH THE ADDITIONAL SOLO AT THE END CRAZY.CHECK OUT THE KIDS REACTION IN THE CROWD .HE COULDN'T BELIEF AND NEITHER COULD I. WHAT WAS DAVE SMOKING THAT NIGHT. THIS WAS THE GREATEST HITS DVD
the bass was louder than the lead guitar lol
I thought it was my headohones bc no one mentioned it apart from your comment that I saw now
oh, and I never bought that DVD.
35:16
LMAO FLYING BRA
I think that is jimmy degrasso.
1999 everything was coolr
Is that the last friedman's
Concert with megadeth?
Pasha Stroud thx man
One of the last but not the last. He still played few shows in early 2000. Pitrelli actually was in the band already at the time and Marty actually learning from Marty at the backstage.
Se sarpa el batero
Заебись! :D
23:45 I'm a straight guy, but damn... :3
No you're not!
If that turns you on then you're as straight as a circle.
@@imadbasayev8541 XDDDDD
I'm a Nick Menza fan
Chris Broderick is awesome but he aient no Marty Friedman...
O áudio está horrível, não dá para ouvir a guitarra do Marty, não dá para ouvir seus solos memoráveis e nem os backing vocals, nem consegui ver inteiro
megadethized is wrong here. on the DVD, the sound is better, the image is better, because it hasnt been lowered from 720p to 480p, and also, when I transfert this video on youtube from 480p to uncomrpessed 480p, I lose a bit of data, and it passes from 480p to 420p approximatly, (Original DVD is 720p, so we are far here) + it doesnt have his stupid logo on the bottom. But buying this DVD is not worth it, because It doesnt have all the songs on it. The best value is this one on youtube. I hate little childrens like megadethized that have no quality of the original songs of the originals, and probably never buys original CD's, no need to explain that only the original Audio CD sounds the best, because you can't copy them exactly the same manner to the hard drive, no matter flac or wav format.
DVDs aren't 720p.
PAL-DVDs (z.
I have the DVD that came with the greatest hits cd, the picture is way better but the sound actually louder and clearer on this version for some reason.
neverbull llbnerver calm down child
It’s ok
Well the DVD was meant to be a bonus disc from the Greatest hits album. They didnt even remaster the audio like most official live albums.
Jackson Flying V the heck?
emm... Nick wasn't at the band at this time
@Dave Scott Mustaine I don't remember what it was but my comment was answering someone that said something about nick, just in case haha (I think it was deleted)... Why the sudden answer after almost 10 years? hahaha
0:58:00 OMG :O haha
Marty had a LP 21 years before Dave lol. And it looks like shit no matter what lolol
Dave did a great job getting back up after the other band screwed him over, and then, put Megadeath together.!
These were the years Megadeth tried to go pop/rock! Terrible years for them.
maybee it was a joke from this dude, as getting wrecked by Capitol records for not having all the songs on it, ++
They sound like thousands, of Seagulls! LOL
