One tip you didn't mention is javelin stealing. Basically, if you end a battle with more javelins than you had when the battle started, you will keep them until you die.
Spearman is the best in my opinion. He can kill a gladiator without even taking damage because the enemy wont be able to reach you. Focus on more damage and more shield and def.

This guide video is a good one it has everything you need to know as a beginner to start hopping! by using the attributes first equipment second tactic, I was able to beat the game! so here's what I did: I started my adventure with level 5 trainer level 1 Priest level 4 spy and level 0 surgeon (Aka Not unlocked) with 500 gold I started grinding out gold by: Using the free characters and not upgrading/buying anything and just upgrading attributes and looting and grinded until I got spy level 5, and then my first gladiator to ever get a farm was A swordsman with a shield (I bought him with 100 coins) and I renamed him to Kratos which gave me an overpowered sword (the chaos blade has good damage good range and decent speed) I didn't buy anything and kept upgrading my attributes and looting after I maxed out the looting I maxed willpower while stealing stuff from my enemies instead of buying them and one by one the gladiators fell to my blade and I was able to kill the last gladiator and get called on by the king, and I chose the farm because I was not ready for the boss but I will try again and try to beat the boss (I will edit this comment when I beat the boss)

Never upgrade equipment, always upgrade attributes, if you don’t put your point into charisma 9.9/10 you’ll aways max out your gladiators equipment with stealing. Also you cannot steal javelins normally, so how you do it is by if you find an opponent which has javelin go as far back as you can from opponent when he throws it at you you pick it up and don’t use that javelin that match after that you get to keep it for rest of the carrier, you’ll most likely max out your javelin by the time you get to the sand arena
I actually beat the guard at the end, only one time though using a mace. I just keep on pushing him back when uses the moment to attack, so now I have 30k fame. Only won because my champion was so op
Pro tip, it is kinda a glitch or bug but if u push the enemy into teh wall, which is easy as thy back up when they have less health to get a health pot, press teh right arrow key (teh one that makes ur character punch or hit with their shield) and it makes it impossible to hit u. This takes awhile, but with some weapon classes, if u keep on pressing down key, u can get to spam them without them hitting u and it does way more damage

You forgot to point out that if you pick up a javilin thrown by the opponent and pick it up and don't use it at the end of the fight then you get to keep it like stealing. Anyways hope there are more updates to this game and you have more content to show👍

Personally, my absolute BEST build is a 100 coin cost swordsman with 3+ starting stats, and then I use the name Kratos to get the blades of chaos. I got to 17,500 with it.
Actually charisma is good because not only because it make you go through arenas faster it also give you more health if you complete the game bar and you can get more gold and health

Fun fact for mobile players. If you die, you can just close out the app and you won’t lose any of your progress and you’ll be able to start again where you left off. No money required to get revived and no chances taken. However this doesn’t work for the final fight.

@@wthaisaas9645 Focus on gold and save up by upgrading attributes and health (because those upgrades are free). I like focusing on damage though. With this strategy you should be able to get some gold pretty quickly and max out your staff (Trainer, Surgeon, Priest, Spy). After you've maxed those out, getting gold will not be a problem, so you can start buying equipment. You will be able to use your staff to your advantage and also use the tips from this video! Another question and the last one is a good one, the tactic I thought was to improve my weapon and steal my enemy's armor and when I was at maximum my weapon I improved my strength and I keep stealing when I have my full weapon and strength to improve my armor, that tactic would be good. ?

Upgrade strength first because if you use a secret name and get a maxed out weapon you can get to a high level with no armour upgrades and just good strength

You can use secret names whenever you want. Naming your gladiator after your champion/highscore gladiator will result in you getting their shoes (or losing yours if they didn't have any). This also applies if your champion has a secret name. That means you won't get the equipment you normally do after using the same secret name. The easiest way to use the same secret name again is to reset your career in the game settings which will delete your highscore. Hopefully this helps! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask :D

I won twice already using Fanatic. The damage output, once used properly, is AWESOME

pro tip: only upgrade strength and steal whatever you can, once you max out strength max out durability and then keep upgrading max hp
A tip is that most opponents can get stun locked if you shove them in to a wall and keep spamming right arrow wuile pressing A

How to change name
There's a "Change name" button in the customization tab. Click on it and you'll be able to change your gladiator's name

@@quannguyen297 dude, he didn't. That video was 2 years ago, and the version he played on was the old one, which you can still get the Golden Gladius in Career Mode.
