    Math skill one is unnecessary. The math in A level physics is purposely made to be very easy and anyone with basic math knowledge is able to do it

    • @yanr4n
      @yanr4n  5 месяцев назад +28

      I guess it depends on how good you are at maths? I know some people that struggled given they didn't take the maths A-Level but I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel like you :)

    • @Josama0214
      @Josama0214 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@noasterr1151 That wasn't my point. My point is that the math in A level physics is basic, it doesn't even have any calculus which is weird. If you know how to solve an equation then your good

    • @Josama0214
      @Josama0214 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@noasterr1151 Natural logs isn't an advanced math concept, Most people learn it at like grade 9 or 10. If you somehow don't know what they are which you should before taking a level physics, it isn't that hard to learn because the function is on your calculator

    • @urrockstargf111
      @urrockstargf111 2 месяца назад

      @@simp2.068 okay so as compared to o levels math gets a bit tougher but with consistent practice you'll manage I do recommend going through the syllabus a bit before you take the classes to mentally prepare yourself. Chem and physics are basically the same topics but they are harder - once again just make sure you study as you're studying the topics in class it's VERY VERY hard to catch up
      At the end of the day I managed physics and math very well and chem I struggled w (I managed it by the time exams came but it became my most difficult subject because of organic chemistry) just keep in mind by the time you study organic chemistry really give in the time and effort for those topics because it was defo tough for most of us
      My general advice is just consistently study you don't need to study 8 hours a day if you just manage to study the topics your teacher is teaching you at the time also if there's something you're struggling with make sure you're focusing on that the most, don't be scared to take help from your teacher because they are there to help
      don't be scared or anything though it's completely manageable as long as you're consistent
      Good luck!!! And if you ever need any help throughout the year just reply to this comment again I'll help out :))

    For practicals In the textbooks they have specific numbers allocated for different practicals do I need to remember those and use those exact values in my practical endorsements, is it that when I do my practical endorsement the examiner who is testing my understanding on how to carry out the experiment will give me the values for the task needed to perform the practical endorsement? I am doing alevels independently so I would love to know how the procedure is for the practical endorsement as I have emailed so many teachers but no one seems to be responding, was hoping you could help me know what is to be expected for the practical endorsement please❤

    • @yanr4n
      @yanr4n  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! I can't give you an answer for sure because I did my practical endorsement in school rather than at home. When I did mine though, we didn't have to do the practical in 'exam conditions'. Before the practical, we wrote down equipment lists, methods and drew diagrams, which we were then allowed to look at during the experiment. If that doesn't happen for you, I can't confidently tell you that you don't have to memorise the specific numbers, so I would stay on the safe side and remember them. For the actual exam you'll need to remember everything to do with the practicals anyway (at least that was the case for AQA), so might as well get ahead and memorise them now :)

      Hey! If you're behind a bit I would focus on dedicating your time towards studying the actual content until you catch up, then work on the practicing more complex exam questions. It can be easy to fall back because of the volume of content, so you'll probably find it most helpful to study the chapters you're behind on now. Maybe every day you could do an hour where you study new content and then 30min-an hour where you do homework for class and some simpler practice questions to make sure you get the base content?
