In quantum mechanics and computing, the Bloch sphere is a geometrical representation of the pure state space of a two-level quantum mechanical system, named after the physicist Felix Bloch. Mathematically each quantum mechanical system is associated with a separable complex Hilbert space. - instagram: isabelleyanran

a level computer science tips from a straight a* student
Hey, I know this is out of context but I got 88777776 in GCSEs (I lost my grandma) do you think if my Alevel predictions go really well I can still apply to Cambridge? I’m also putting in for a remark for hopefully I can get another 8. Thank you :)
Wasn’t it hard to do 5 A-Levels? Did you study everyday and would you recommend taking more than 3 A-Levels?
Sure it was hard but now I get to brag extra on RUclips :) I did study everyday for it bc for me doing well academically is what matters the most, so studying everyday to do better was a good use of my time. For some people, being socially active or partaking in a sport or music might be their biggest goal and so no point really in doing so much studying. You can always get into any university with just 3 A-Levels (although those 3 may need to be 3 A* grades). I think the biggest reason for taking 4 is to give yourself some leeway, so that you can either drop one later or you can flunk an exam. That was particularly why I took Computer Science. Some universities do express preference for 4 if you're aiming high, but they aren't allowed to write an offer on 4 A-Levels, so technically anything is possible with 3. Overall, I think that you should take 3 unless you think that you're going to get grades like A*A*A* or A*A*A. There's no point taking 4 if that means that all your subjects suffer (like BBBB is usually a worse outcome than AAB)
@@yanr4n thank you so much for answering! My grades are great but there is always space for improvement, and I really want to go to a good university. I try to focus on school, but also do some extracurriculars and volunteering. I’m still thinking whether I should do 4 A-levels, it’s quite risky because as you said it might affect my grades….
@@s_d429 If you're unsure when the time comes start with 4 and drop one the moment you start to feel like you don't have enough time. You might find that actually the workload is okay for you, but you might also find that it's too much with your other activies. That's probably the strategy with the lowest risk
tysm for this :(( my classes for year 12 have already started and im unable to take them as of now, so worried as to how im going to catch up with everything :(( im so scared rn
you have 2 years to catch up bae don't worry!! the start of year 12 is usually just recapping GCSE content and some basic stuff
@@yanr4n 😞yes hopefully it wont be too stressful. btw i tried starting some self studying today, but im kinda confused between whether or not i should take notes whilst watching youtube lectures. most people nowadays say that its a waste of time, what do u think? did u use to take notes during lectures when u were in AS
@@crtjoys I can see both sides to the argument! For me, I like to take notes because it makes sure that I'm listening and it gives me something to reference back to because I consume a lot of content everyday. If I am stuck with something I'd go back and replay that bit and just listen first, then when I think I'd got it I'd go back and take notes for completion haha. Some people do find it better to just sit and fully absorb though and if you aren't gonna go back and look at the notes I can see why they think making notes is a waste of time
@@yanr4n 🤭🤭tysm yan, turns out i do actually learn better if i write stuff down whilst in a lecture. u're super pretty btw and ty for taking time out of your day and replying to me twice 🤭slayy
do you have any tips for when you have teachers that aren't very helpful. i am struggling a lot with this at my school that some of my teachers don't bother explaining well in class and/or dont utilise the time in class well so that they usually dont finish the content for the exam till like a week before the exam and this makes it very difficult for me to be productive during school, resulting in me wasting like 8 hours of my day sitting in class with the teacher not teaching anything properly. do you have any tips on how to deal with this issue?
hii, can you please share your specific study technique. i am in year 2 of my a-levels and my biggest issue is time, i always feel like i dont have enough time to do all my studying and sometimes my studying just takes too long that it makes me so tired. so it would be so helpful if you share your study technique that allowed you to master 4 subjects + epq, that feels so impossible for me.
Im about start my computer science a level study, is it essential to study just c sharp code or python cos I am unsure on what programming languages i need to learn for OCR
You don't need to do both because the A-Level exam requires only pseudocode and your project can be written in just one language. I would personally learn python - the OOP modules in OCR at least are easiest to follow with the python language. The other things you'll need to know are CSS, HTML, and Javascript, but there will be a list of specific commands rather than general knowledge for those
I don't hv a sister and ik i shud ask a dermat.. but what do u do for clear skin😭
Honestly it goes through phases but most of the time my skin is pretty well behaved naturally. I use the cerave green cleanser twice a day and the nivea soft moisturiser in the morning - then when my skin is bad and I've picked at all my spots I find this facemask to be really good too for damage control lol www.amazon.co.uk/LOreal-Paris-Marine-Blemish-Rescue/dp/B071FTRQX6

Remember watching this when it came out and being so envious like that could NEVER be me 😭 but on Thursday, I opened my results and saw an A* next to physics! Made me think of u 🥰 (yes this vid rlly stuck w me throughout year 13, thank u so much!)
hey im going into year 12 and im really unsure about my options: maths bio chem and physics, do you recommend them as I've been told that its way to hard (also well done on the A* in physics thats insane!!!!)
WAHHHHH CONGRATULATIONS!! that's absolutely incredible i'm sure you more than deserved it! 🏆🏆
this genuinely helped so much, i was actually bricking it about starting sixth form because of the whole stigma that’s created about it but after hearing your words honestly i feel so much more relaxed and calm about it! thank you!!!
good luck!! you're gonna be more than fine 🫶
watched this a whole year late, but im still grateful that it came to me eventually because i still have the whole of y13 to make up for my y12 mistakes!!!!! tysm for this it genuinley helped so much
Hi! I just wanted to tell you that while y12 is important the results you get there don't define you! Through out the year I got grades ranging from As to Ds bur I manged to get myself A*AA even though a month prior I had a D kn a mock paper! Hard work is the most important
@@modanislove congrats on ur results!! tysm for the wise words honestly just spent my whole summer revising, and no matter what grades i get i'll never give up!!!!!!
@Ammara07838 please also have a bit of a break during the summer! I didn't revise in the summer but worked my hardest throughout the year, remember you deserve a break otherwise you will be burnt out!
@@modanislove yes yes ofc!!! ill make sure i dont burn out, just want to be confident by the time exams come around so i can just do past papers and relax during that time as its stressful
best of luck for your final year!! <3
9:56 I had the same problem with micellar water and now I use the cleansing balm from superdrug! it’s around £4 and breaks the mascara down better than micellar water does imo
oh my days thank you so much!!
do you have any tips on how to improve on the programming side of computer science ? x
Nah 5 A* is crazy dk you realise the amount of dedication and intelligence that takes 😭😭😭 your hardwork really paid off damn also got a question ❓ should i take further maths if i have the option to
ye, id always reccomend it, esp as you can always drop it whenever
thank you! i agree with the above comment i would always recommend that you take it!! i personally found it really interesting and worst case you drop it and nothing really happens
Thank you so much for posting this I’m starting year 12 in September and you’re amazing I’m always gonna remember “pain of regret vs pain of discipline” and it will always stick with me even when I feel like giving up I really needed this❤❤
WOOO good luck!

If someone didnot study in the vacations after o levels completion but if i would work hard and do my topicals past pprs everyday so will i ace my exams
Hi Yanran, keep it up, it's absolutely incredible how far you've come! Completely out of topic, but what headphones were you using in this vid?
hi! this is so unhelpful but i can't find out what the headphones are lol they used to be like the cheapest noise cancelling ones on amazon but i think they've stopped selling them or something because it isn't there now :/
