Looking at it, taking A level physics has genuinely been the biggest mistake of my life. It has certainly humbled me however.
I am taking Bio, chemistry, maths and physics and it's been a humbling experience overall. I am used to being the smart kid, but this has been so challenging, particularly physics. The one thing keeping me going is that the grade thresholds for my exam board are crazy low, and I'm talking 60% and sometimes below. I like to think we are all struggling together, as a team.
Same hereee
Science is a hard thing to grasp. Especially higher
maths chem physics electronics and i can assure you we are struggling as a team
@@veleox5442 I’m doing my GCSE’s now and I really hate science. I adore English and History and plan to do law as my a level and career. And I surprisingly love doing maths. I’m gonna try the higher paper at college if they let me.
You’re dumb compared to kids here in Hong Kong
there needs to be more learning in the early years
Bro unironically I had the exact fucking same reaction, went from a D to a B at the end.
Nuclear Quantum and Radioactive physics fucking saved me, Mechanical physics can get fucked.
I still got an A* in Bio which is what I actually wanted to do at uni lol. (I LOVE BIOMED I LOVE IMMUNOLOGY RAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH)
what a levels do u need for biomed
I went to a college which only let the top students in the area enter. Getting A wasn't enough as all my classmates got A*. When i got B's for assignments i felt like a moron
I’ve been humbled too many times
as/a level physics is soul crushing, i got the highest mark in physics compared to other subjects, I went from 80-90% in gcse to 45-50% which is not a great feeling. Add to that that I don't really have any aspirations for life, I just took physics because i was apparently good at that, i suck at memorising anything (i hate bio) and my parents kinda pushed me to go for it but physics is just absolutely dumb. I can't do it for the life of me
in terms of difficulty
further maths > physics
The marking schemes infuriate me soo much 🤣even my teacher is like "yeah the marking scheme is shi*"
The thing is you have to think abt it- it's the most sustainable way of studying no matter how much you read the books or do practice questions you have to continously think about it
2:05 thats gonna be me
Should’ve watched this when it came out. Physics paper 2 aqa a level destroyed me😭
The deeper it gets, the easier u see the light…
Bars
going into as level w physics being my worst science-I'm quite literally forced to take it by my parents and idk how to feel.
dont take it dont be forced becuase your going to do worse
i support your business hate. Im personally choosing between maths, further maths, chem and bio or maths, further, chem and physics. your put me off 😭but that might be right
About the ego, I will just compete with the person who gets the highest marks. After what I will fall in love with this person(already have this experience)
as someone whos taking physics and business tbh while business is pretty simple its pretty challenging to me
I'm taking Maths, Chemistry and Physics 😂
Good luck!
I'm doing that and fm
'#1 business hater' 💀💀
It is easy, but atleast it doesn’t get rejected like general studies 😂💀💀
Watching this a week before my composite CIE 😩
you are blessed to have taken AQA lmao
I am doing maths , further maths, physics and computer science 😂
got a 6 at gcse went into the first lesson didnt understand shit but I need it for my medicine application at uni and no im not doing maths. next 2 years is looking L O N G if anyone has any usefull sites please let me know
Why do you need physics for medicije
@@Sbud089 Need at least 2 sciences (Bio and Chem) and then either another science subject or a maths based subject preferably
Physics and maths tutor is really good
100% the most important site is physics and math tutor
Save my exams is honestly amazing for giving concise notes on the topics. Also youtube, there are many educational youtubers that do mind maps on whole sections of the physics course and it can rly help you start revising or just to test your knowledge. Also physics and maths tutor 👌
Guys it's honestly not that bad.
yeah I also think so
its worse
its shit
I’ve picked it for alevel help
How’s it turned out Ive chosen it for next year
@@bluecheeseif you're genuinely interested in the subject you'll be fine because as isnt as hard as alevel content but if u picked it just for the sake of it to maybe do it at uni you'll realise physics isnt a subject u can revise last minute u have to stay up to top with it otherwise when exams come you'll be clueless . The mechanics side of it has a lot of problem solving most of the time u get barely any information and thats usually what brings grade boundaries down but that aside it's mostly just understanding the concepts. U have to practise exam questions though as the mark schemes can get specific ) To be honest unless you want to do engineering in the future i would say ur better off not doing physics unless u Know its a subject u need for future steps
@@bluecheesecurrently sitting my a levels (have physics on monday help) here. You really have to be committed. You need to do a lot of work, and even when you do all the work it just isn't enough. Content is a huge jump from gcses in both difficulty and interest. You have to apply concepts to a lot of unfamiliar scenarios, have to be good at reading comprehension (if you're unlucky to do aqa), have to have a good technique on how to conduct practicals and so much more. It's good idea to take a level maths although not impossible without
start working hard, lets say after you do your gcse, you’ll have like a 3 month summer holiday, get a headstart in a level physics
I have taken physics ,math , business and it is Cambridge alevels
Should've watched this two years ago
can u give some tips and tricks snd how u got an A
Ppqs … ppqs… ppqs. I swear I learnt half the course at A2 using ppqs, most stuff they just don’t seem to teach you. It’s fucked
Is alevel chemistry harder than alevel physics?
not at all physics is the hardest a level even harder than further maths and chem
I'm choosing math, bio, chem and physics, my as levels start in 10 days, seems like I have chosen death.....
Same, I just started. What you thinking now?
@@xzxasxadxas hi. I'm thinking about dropping biology because i feel like i enjoy studying chemistry and physics and i hate studying math, so those 3 subjects would be enough for me and... maybe i can do it. I have a bit of problems with my subject group placements but when I'll resolve them I'll be able to enjoy studying.
how are you feeling?
@@kitteninforest I am thinking of doing medicine, but I'm not sure if that's the best, personally, I could go for. I'm interested in neuroscience, psychology and using computers to research illnesses and develop treatments. I dropped AS Physics last week, but I could re-shuffle my subjects again. I am not sure if I should re-add physics or do Physics, Chemistry and Maths whilst getting rid of Biology. You see, I'm interested in biomedical engineering as well as medicine, so I'm unsure of what I should do. I would take 4 AS/A levels; bio, chem, maths, and physics, but people and teachers tell me that is too much work and it'll mess up my overall grades. I plan to go Uni, aiming for Oxbridge, and either do medicine straight away or do an undergrad course on a medicine related degree like neuroscience, psychology, or biomedical sciences, and then get a first-class honours on that, so I could take the Medicine graduate course. I don't know what to do, and I don't have much time to change my subjects. That's what I'm thinking.
i chose maths physics economics and it. so far physics is fine maybe im just not far in yet
@@triharders2456 i dropped biology and taking chemistry, math amd physics now. i enjoy doing chemistry, however with math and physics not so much. i really understand that both math and physics are easy on that level, however, i just can't understand it and do goos enough. it's sad. i already did one math test bad and the first physics test is next tuesday. I hope I'll be able to understandat least the first and the easiest topic of the physics...
honestly i just hate myself for being stupid. i understand that it's easy. I'm just stupid.
at least chemistry is fine i guess...
I have decided to take physics, chemistry, maths and biology in Alevels.( I was the topper of my class in Olevels whilst taking 9 subjects). Is it a good decision if I am ready to work really hard ?
Just came to comment I didn't see the full video and hence don't know your full opinion but
From the first couple of second I can tell you that As and A level help you understand the stuff that will be taught in a actual degree like physics (hon) better
P.s. the syllabus for the as-level physics (like the firt and second semester of a-level) is almost ditio to what I am learning in school (11th grade) so I don't understand how the content did not make sense...
how much effort did it take u to get an a in as physics?
as physics isnt that difficult
@@f.r.i.e.n.d.l.y what is AS? is that just year 12
@@genox633 So there is A level right...depending on where you learn your school could offer you the option of doing half of the Alevel papers (AS) and then do the rest the next year (A2) then cambridge just adds up the marks
@@genox633 for example there are 5 physics papers right... i studied for 3 papers last year and i wrote 3 last year...meaning this year I have 2 left
@@f.r.i.e.n.d.l.y makes sense, so logically AS papers would be easier

Wish I saw this video before I chose the subject
should I do it or geography?
@@rory1487 physics
why is that I'm kinda 60 / 40 for geo right now@@or4cl363
I'm already taking math so I guess I should stay away from physics. I do have an interest in the subject but it wasn't my best at o level. I'm taking business now thank you 🫡
Edit: Nvm now I've taken math, physics and IT
business😂😂😂 he hates it
@@hashimabbas6731 Yeah haha
And well I ended up taking physics after all 😮💨 along with math and IT

how is business going cause i kinda want to opt for it and yes im also gonna take math in my alevels
@@zkenny777 I never took business in the end :') don't regret that decision either but yeah I can't say anything about it
my strongest subject is physics should i still take physics for a-levels?
Yea if it's your strength do it
its my second strongest subject, but it's still tough a sheeeeeeeee- if you want to take it tho, by all means take it. do what you enjoy.
Don't
why do you all hate business? just curious
especially relevant now
im thinking ill just do health and social care btec everyone ik is doing a level science or maths n I cba for that
Depends on what u want to do at uni
