I've been getting horrible marks in Phyiscs usually only landing on 50%-55%, though just recently i've improved (only by a little) and scored 60%-65%. Turns out I've been inadvertently using the method of reading through mark schemes. I plan using your full guide to see if I can actually get an A or A* in Physics. Also it would be nice if you could post your tips and tricks on how to get an A* in FLE
Great video, Arian. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I hit the thumbs up icon on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your strategies for tackling past papers are incredibly insightful. Have you considered discussing how to balance conceptual understanding with problem-solving practice in a future video?
Hey, I had a small question -- I write my IGCSE CAIE board exams in 2025, but the thresholds for an A* in physics for 2024 are around 50-60%? In that case wouldn't everyone be getting an A* or wouldn't it be really easy to get one?
Thresholds are always adjusted relative to the performance of everyone on the exam - if they're low, that means that not a lot of people scored high, and if they're high, it means that almost everyone scored high. I'd honestly recommend not looking at thresholds during your preparation, since they can warp your perception of how easy/difficult it is to get an A* on a subject, since they're not really indicative of any level of difficulty.
@@itsaaryanmehta yeah, but for physics I've noticed that it's usually always around 45 -50 out of 80 to get an a* and I'm always scoring atleast 66 or above, which would mean an a* right? So like I feel like even if I don't study imma get an easy a* 😂dk if that's true tho cuz exam pressure also exists which may screw my result up
@badkarma8034 this is exactly my point - don't realy on grade thresholds, they force you into this false sense of security. yeah, getting an A* may not seem too difficult, but remember that there are a lot of things that could go wrong (like examiners over at CAIE checking more strictly than you), so you need to be careful!
@@itsaaryanmehta oh yeah, are the examiners really strict?? Like from ur experience do they give marks if you've written it or do they only give marks if you write exactly what the marking scheme says? Jus curious
As someone from not this educational system, I have a question: Is A levels very tough? If a student who has clear concepts and study hard, can that student compete with the A levels one in SAT exam or MCAT?
The SAT and the MCAT are completely different kinds of tests than A Levels. A Levels are two-year school complete courses, whereas the SAT is a standardised test and the MCAT is an admissions test, so attempting to compare them with A Levels would be like comparing apples to oranges - it's simply not possible, and doing A Levels wouldn't give students any discernible advantage in these tests over non-A Level students, since these tests typically test knowledge outside of the the "typical" school curriculum anyways.
Aaryan please help me as I find it hard to score marks in physics mcq atp and theory Can u please tell me which years papers I should do if I am to take the march 2025 series
THANKYOU SO MUCH , i had my physics exam today and i have been following your tips... they really helped me!

Sure, that's something I can definitely consider talking about in a future upload. Thanks for the suggestion!
Hey Aaryan! Love your videos! Could you please make a video on how to prepare for FLE as well?
I'll add it to my list!
Can you make videos for english speaking(ESL)?
Unfortunately, I didn't do ESL, I did FLE :/
