I loved it.❤ He reminded me of his role as Private Investigator Marlowe, the same witty ways, 😄 his character had a compassionate side under that fast tongue, as his girl called him, that made him admirable.🤗
love Dick Powell...quick witted and that sharp tongue and those funny comebacks....í wonder if he ad-libbed some of those snappy comebacks.
I read that Dick was the ad lib king of Hollywood back then!

Brilliant
Love you Dick Powell and David Niven
I was around in '54 and I still don't remember being able to stop in the middle of the bridge for a chit chat before jumping, and making a U-turn; also $50 ain't what it use to be ...but enjoyed the story anyhow.(ls)
LOL...well of course television has to have some creative license for our entertainment. As far as $50 in 54', as I throw it into the old inflation calculator (for those interested), $50 in 1954 has the same buying power as $458.22 in 2018. WOW.
@@allthewayliveentertainment8592 Thanks for figuring it out - I was curious. I remember this movie - I am 72 now
Good story! Kept you wondering what whose story was real ! 👍🏼
I really enjoyed it. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this fantastic program!
You're very welcome!
Love you Dick Powell and David Nevin
Another good one.
A great one!
Originally telecast on December 30, 1954 on "PARKER FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE" (that season, Parker Pen Company alternated sponsorship with The Singer Company).
just like today - news WITH opinions! Actually, the news is often boring but the opinion is worthless!
Humphrey bogart type
Cynical but compassionate!
Dick Powells character too much!
