Your hair looks amazing in this Soph! 😍😍 I also love how you leave the “mistakes” in your videos like using the same brush you used for the Halloween look instead of cutting it out of the video. You’re so relatable and I love your videos so much ❤️
Eyeshadow primer on your nose, to keep your foundation from sliding. I have a horrible time keeping foundation on my nose, using Eyeshadow primer has been a game changer. I've been doing it for years 💜💜💜
Love your videos!! With the eyelash curler for the cut crease hack... you're supposed to do it with the curler closed/clamped. Then you don't get that "double" line.
Another dupe for anyone interested is And Others Stories Cream Eye Colours which are so similar to Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise colours. They're also a third of the price. ❤
I’m super poorly with the flu atm, and I’m laying in bed on my day off. This full video has made me feel so much better! I was absolutely crying laughing at your powder scenario and little stutter bit. You honestly are the best ever soph! Thankyou for always making the best content. My fave RUclipsr xx
omg i’m so glad the p louise worked cos i was like what if i’ve given her bad advice hahahaha, but it really doesn’t crease for me so i’m glad it didn’t for u!! 🙌🏼💕
Also if your mascara is getting dried out you can use contact lens solution, but start with just ONE drop, as you can add too much too fast! But typically if my mascara is dried out I throw it away because at that point it’s probably expired anyways!
My secret beauty hack is using translucent powder on my brows before i appy anything else. This way my brows last longer. Also, if you want your eyeliner to last longer, set it with black eyeshadow and put a bit of translucent powder underneath the wing
Some things I love doing, the tip about using the excess foundation on your nose is one of my faves it works so well. When putting Foundation on, I avoid under my eyes and my eyelids like the plague because I'm going to be applying Concealer there, I don't want to add unnecessary layers. Applying Contour Blush and highlight in reverse (highlight, Blush, Contour/bronzer) makes it look a lot more natural! When I'm doing full glam applying loose Powder Under my foundation works really well to keep my oils at bay
I never do full eyeliner anymore. Usually I will line the outer third of my upper lash line and line the outer fourth of my lower lash line and there's a little point where they meet that can be turned into a wing. I have pretty big eyes and this eyeliner hugs the outer corner in a really flattering way. If you start winged eyeliner by hugging the lower lash line it's much much easier to make both sides even.
Omg crying! 🤣🤣 if I’m ever feeling upset or down I will always come back to this video! Soph your face when you realised what brush you used is just perfect 🤣🤣 so funny xx
If you have redness try cover it with a small amount of yellow corrector and a small amount of concealer on top of it instead of a lot of concealer!! Works great
I saw your tweet about your new video from the weekend and how you were going to upload more soon. I just finished your other one, wasn't expecting the new one so soon!! Edit: Congrats on the ad!
I nearly died when you said you look you have been down a chimney! I very rarely if ever use foundation. I put a small amount of concealer under my eyes, on my smile lines and on my top lip and a bit on my chin and spread it out and blend in patting with my fingers. It is light coverage and with my mature skin doesn’t look too cakey.
I’m in my forties (yes, old lady here) and the lip lining suggestion is actually how I was taught “back in the day” to over line lips. It was always a bit strange to see the way younger ladies and guys do the full lip, but I figured that was the look they were going for.
I haven't tried the lash curler for a cut crease but would it not work better if the eyelash curler was closed when you did it as you're using the top of it for the cuve anyway? me saying this for you to test because I'm lazy and cba myself 😂😂😂
This is really interesting, I didn't think to spray setting spray on my brushes, will try that. Carina's star was my very first CT lipstick, I love the shade. You can use cream blush as blush, lipstick and cream eyeshadow. I find the tower 28 and Rare Beauty ones work well for that, also Fenty cream blushes
The lipstick as blush is what I do too. Also, i use a foundation-primer mix (Nyx BB cream which is discontinued but you can still get it elsewhere) and then I use either NYX concealer that comes in a little jar or else I use the Maybelline waterproof concealer stick (which is NOT discontinued) and they are full coverage and will stay on for over 48 hours! I promise, i've been there. Even if you're sweating, you're makeup will stay on, especially with setting powder or setting spray.
Loved everyone's tips! I've definitely tried caking my face in powder then using setting spray, summer in London 🇬🇧 was toooo much for my oily t-zone 😅 also, soph's face when she realised she'd ruined the makeup with a used brush 😬😂 bless you! Also, massive congrats to Soph having a sponsorship with Lanierge, as they're literally the creators of the most iconic lip product of 2022, go Soph 🙌🙌🙌🤍
Makeup hack ❤ so when I’m not feeling a foundation I spray setting spray then quickly put on some powder I use pan setting powder. It makes your face look a little more matte then put a small bit of bronzer but hight and it gives you that natural but put together. Hope this helps
An oldie but goody, I was using lipstick on the top of my cheeks as blush nearly 20 years ago! Alot of these hacks have been about a long time, we just didn't have the platform to share our tips and hacks lol. Thank goodness 🙏 🤣. It just wasn't your day when you filmed this, Great to see even the best of artists have bad days. Really fun video ❤
I like how you use the products you created with Makeup Revolution, even the Cake lipstick which was years ago! I still have all 3 of those lipsticks. Now I want to use them!
congrats on working with Laneige Soph!!! u Defenetly deserve it!! also I wanted to ask you if you could do a video of full face of sheglam beauty please
I just recently stopped using foundation and quit contouring as well. I’ve actually been getting compliments on my makeup since and it makes me look younger. It’s also a time-saver and will save me lots of money since those are the products I spend the most on. I just do eyebrows, eye shadow, mascara and lipstick now.
Hii, i never spray setting spray directly on my face. My makeup order: primer, concealer, powder, setting spray, brows, eyes, cheeks, lips. After powder I spray some setting spray on my sponge, and with the sponge i work the setting spray into my face. I use setting spray this way to make my face look less powdery (I put a lot of powder on because of my too shiny spf). And i don't like to spray it directly onto my face, because then it has to dry and leaves marks of setting spray on my face. xx
I always spray my sponge with setting spray before blending out my concealer. It helps it set and not crease as much. Always use setting spray before foundation and then after foundation and concealer. Basically between all steps. Again after all powders and obviously at the very end
Another amazing look, loved the green eye shadow and loved how ur lips turned out! Thanks for sharing these awesome hacks, always love watching ur videos soph!
Another tip I have is to use a bar of soap to set your eyebrows in place, I just put some on a clean eyebrow brush and run it through my eyebrows. It also helps to make them look really fluffy! 💕
I love Laneige, I also use them during the day! I have so many flavors from them too, I just finished the berry one, and I am opening the Chocolate one as it's Christmas!
Your hair is beautiful in those mermaid waves! Here’s an old tip for everyone: subtly touch your tongue to the rim of a glass before you drink to cut down on lipstick transfer. And, if you get lipstick on your teeth like I do, after lip product application, put your clean finger in your mouth, make kissy lips, and pull your finger through to remove product on the inside portion of lips. 💚💙💜
Perfect as always. I ha e to really thank you for testing the YSL lash clash, I bought it because of you and I'm totally obsessed with it, pricey, yes but finding a mascara that you love can be a life long mission, this one will be in my bag for quite some time I think. Thanks Soph

@@vickimaccallum I’ve definitely used the Tresemme Tres Two (I think it’s green writing) to set my makeup and for my brows when I used to go on vacation! 🫣
But when u put powder onto wet skin (after foundation) , especially baking under eyes and underneath contour, it soaks up the wet and sits on top and becomes cakey. I let my foundation set for a while then powder so it doesnt mix if u get me xx
Use tape to create perfect shadow shape and wing, and also leave concealer to dry for around 2 minutes before blending (don't use as much product and more coverage)
Idk if it's a hack but you can also apply bronzer on your jawline (or just under your chin)❤ I think it balances the whole face nicely. I feel like the bottom part is a bit left out when I don't do it. The framing effect is also nice :) Thanks for your joy, I love you ❤❤

The hack of putting no/less foundation on the nose doesn't work for me because I have so much redness there. Instead, I use a base with good coverage that I know I can use a relatively small amount of and can melt into my skin, like the Missha BB Cream (RX version) and the Sheglam Skinfluencer Foundation. Everything eventually results to some cakeyness around my nose, but I can easily pat these two products in and I'll be good as new.
