I felt these people on a spiritual level, as I was at the third night and I've found this band has forced me to bond with so many people wether online or in person. This band and their fan base have made me felt so accepted and awesome, especially in a really strange time for me growing up, being a teenager, life and earth. Talking to people before and after shows. Meeting the band themselves, it's awesome. King gizzard rocks.
I wasn't aware that King Gizzard's fanbase has such... poets. Seriously, these guys and girls articulate themselves so well, the way they describe the KGLW experience and promoting that wholesome community vibe makes my heart swell. one of your interviewees is right, give it a few decades, King Gizzard will be a crucial band... and this documentary captures it all love from Australia!
Would love to see a full scale, full budget "on-the-road-with" Rockumentary with this band, ending in a professionally filmed full length live performance. Sundance Film Festival nominated / iMAX Cinema release. The works...!!
In the almost 3 years between when I bought tickets to these shows and when they happened I got engaged, our daughter was born, moved from Phoenix to seattle, started a new job, and made damn sure king giz is our daughters favorite band. A wild 3 years it was but man was it worth the wait
You know how sometimes you are listening to a song, and the band transitions into this part of the song where it they just lock into a total groove, and the song just starts ripping, and you can't help but start dancing and moving around and pumping your fists in the air? That's pretty much every moment of every King Gizzard song from start to finish.
To the guy in the denim jacket and beanie at 9:12, we chatted in line on Day 2 for a while and it was a blast talking with you. People were so easy to talk to at the shows, even for a person like me who has trouble talking to new people. I love how friendly and tight this fanbase is.
Waited the same 1063 days man! Went camping out in the Colorado woods with my brothers, and then had to greatest experience of my life at Red Rocks. So glad I was one of thousands of people that experienced the exact same thing ❤️❤️ amazing video my man
Oh snap that's me in the Gizzard vest and sunglasses being interviewed near the beginning! I was wondering if I'd ever see this be put online!! SO SO glad to be a part of such a wonderfully passionate group of fans of such an incredible band!
BEST. FUCKINNNN BAND IN THE WOOORRRLD. Thankyou. This was awesome. HORNS UP FOR THE WEIRDO SWARM. As a ticket holder for Philly for 3 years, the show was life altering.
Wow, this is top Gizz wholesome content. I just can't describe how I clicked with all these people's words, experiences, and actions. In my case, Red Rocks 3rd Night was a peak of my existence, no doubt. I traveled all the way from Monterrey, Mexico by myself to this spot that I had never been to before and where I didn't even knew a single soul around, and still, it was worth every moment. And in the end, I have just found myself repeating this same action, but now visiting the Salt Sheds next June. It feels really nice to know that there are people around that get it, no matter where they may be from.
Julia who paints the jackets here :) was the most fun time ever. I will never forget how good it felt to run into the people who bought my jackets In person and talking to them about my favourite band.
I was at one of the Red Rocks marathon shows and this mini-doc does a great job of highlighting the band's passionate and friendly fan base. I met two random people in line who traveled to Colorado from Tennessee. We ended up hanging out all night and had a blast.
Absolutely amazing work! This is a really good capture of that feeling we all had waiting with those tickets for almost three years. Words can't describe!
This was absolutely STELLAR! Best 20 minutes I have ever spent on RUclips. So well made and the fans just nailed it with their heartfelt yet poignant commentary. Bravo!!!
Best rocks show I’ve ever seen. Saw these guys at the Ogden and the Fox their first year here, even got a chance to meet them outside my buddy’s place in Boulder. Every year they come back is a treat because of how big they’re growing. Forever make great stuff and blow our minds. Thank you Gizz
I'm from the UK and my girlfriend bought me tickets to the first rescheduled show because it was on my 30th birthday. Unfortunately that got cancelled, but the result was we went a year later, planned a massive road trip from San Fran and ended up getting engaged out there. I feel deeply connected to this band, so much of the last 5/6 years of my life is soundtrakced to them and I couldn't be more grateful.
That second dude TOTALLY gets its! It's still rare for me to find another local fellow Gizzoid , but when I do, we totally connect. AND the beanie dude at the brewery. I so felt that. I'm the weird music guy that feels so at home about the band. IT's an outpouring of love and obsession to the most PERFECT music ever created! I'll be a gizz fan for the rest of my life, and even then on forward. I have NEVER dove so hard into the Gizz and dumbed a smuch money and support to a single band as I have for Gizz. Fan since 2017.
I really like King Gizzard for a lot of the reasons people in the video stated. There are a lot of parallels with KG and Phish, that I don't think a lot of KG fans understand or appreciate.
Woah this documentairy is awesome! By letting the fanbase talk you get this really good image of why this band is so special for a lot of folks. It warms my heart! I wasnt at red rocks, but Gizz is coming to the netherlands early 23 so Ill be there for sure. Itll be my first time as I discovered this band earlier this year. Their music really touches me and right now its helping me through an incredible hard time of my life (my father passed away). Songs like Float Along and Iron Lung specifically help me through that stuff but just listening to all their records and enjoying all the different soundscapes and getting to know the songs and vibes better is such a nice pasttime. I cant wait to see them live and talk to fellow gizzheads. Its so easy to have so much passion for these guys and like they say in the doc, it must feel great to talk to all these people who all feel the same. This band man. This band.
So I was at the first night after the long wait from buying the tickets to seeing the gizz wow so good there energy is one of a kind I'm bringing new people this next year to experience this band can't wait see everyone there
Wow - this is fantastic! Thanks for making this - So cool to hear these fans articulate what I've been feeling since I started listening to Gizz back in 2016. I have to show this to my wife so she understands why I'm part of the weirdo swarm.
I discovered KGatLW when i was looking for Les Claypool releases on Amazon and i saw the Nonagon Infinity- album among the "people who purcased this also bought"- list. The band name and cover art made me go: "I already know this appeals to me". This was in 2016.
Love love love this doc 💗 Like the people in the documentary, I've nerded out about Gizz to everyone I know, and met amazing friends by being in this fandom (big love to Erin, if you see this). This band has such an amazingly accepting community of weirdos, creatives and kind souls, just like themselves 💗 Man, I love King Gizzard.
At 11:30 the guy talking about breaking the wall is so real. I knew I would like them for the longest time and extremely into psychedelic rock. But once I really started listening to them and went to one of their concerts I absolutely fell in love and they are my favorite band in this generation and possibly the best of their time. 🐊🍄✨
Your documentary brought a tear to my eye 🥲 So well done 👏 You guys captured & conveyed the magic that comes with being a Gizzhead. Congratulations on the recognition by the band for this! I just released my own King Gizzard mini documentary, but about the Miami shows, which hasn't (& won't) come close to the views or band/fan acclaim. I wish I could've made it to those Red Rocks shows! I got a reserved ticket a couple weeks before the October shows finally happened...Hurricane Ian had other plans for me. Sorry for the long comment, it's just that this band makes me feel and think so much! Last but not least, if the Texan band members happen to see this comment, can you help me with starting out my own King Gizz inspired (cover) band?
RUclips shared the album quarters to me in 2015 or 2016 and I’ve been listening to them since then but I remember when they didn’t even have a Wikipedia page.
I was at night 1, amazing. I've always wanted to hear the Murder of the Universe Suite and never thought it would happen. Then night 3 opened with it. It was magical.
I put my finger on it immediately. It's because they're a rock band lose music is infused with all the genres of all the music I've been listening to for the last 60 years. From the Beatles to Motown to Glam Rock to punk rock to Blues Funk jazz and heavy metal. Sometimes it's all in one song. That's why I love them and that's why pretty much all I've been listening to since last May is King gizzard.
I went night 1 and night 3. I saw them at mission ballroom before the world ended. Night 1 the psychedelics started kicking in while i was waiting in line to get in. I work for the music venues in Denver, I've seen probably around 5,000 shows. Night 1 was something else.
It's wild hearing people say all of the exact things I've been saying to people who don't want to hear them
I felt these people on a spiritual level, as I was at the third night and I've found this band has forced me to bond with so many people wether online or in person. This band and their fan base have made me felt so accepted and awesome, especially in a really strange time for me growing up, being a teenager, life and earth. Wearing a king gizzard shirt to other concerts will 100% make you some new friends. It's awesome
I wasn't aware that King Gizzard's fanbase has such... poets.
Seriously, these guys and girls articulate themselves so well, the way they describe the KGLW experience and promoting that wholesome community vibe makes my heart swell.

Like a dozen other commenters, hearing fans so passionately talk about the band was a tear-jerker for me. Genuinely heart-warming. It's so beautiful!
I am so happy to be part of this gizzard community and i love you all
Great documentary!
Best fan-base for the best active band!
Been loving these guys since 2014 and haven't seen then live, unfortunately.
Absolute game changer man , definitely do so when you get the chance.
Fell even more in love with KG when I saw em in person
I was at one of the Red Rocks marathon shows and this mini-doc does a great job of highlighting the band's passionate and friendly fan base. I met two random people in line who traveled to Colorado from Tennessee. We ended up hanging out all night and had a blast.
It wasn’t me, but I also traveled from Tennessee for all 3 nights. Greatest experience of my life!
This was one of the best experiences (if not, THE best experience) of my entire life. Holding onto my tickets since 2019 was beyond worth it.
This is amazing thank you so much for this!!!!!! I didnt cry at all
Wanted to be at their Rocks show so bad. I love this, and I love the people that love King Gizz. So blessed with this band.
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen and it's only 19 minutes. Long Live Gizz 🤘
Bravo!!!
This is awesome! Can’t wait to see you all at Hollywood Bowl 2023!!!
Gizzards lyrics are very philosophical and playful that was a good point
now I have a video manual to show to people when they ask why I love this band.
thanks!
I was at the third night and just looking around at how massive the crowd was was insane.
im in tears

Loved seeing the group video from the end of the night at the meet up. Thank you for this. 👁🧙♂️💜
I was rolling paper/lighter guy btw. 🙂

This documentary is adorable and reminds me of my favorite weirdo swarm members. I will never forget the Red Rocks shows. MUCH LOVE, MUCH GIZZ.
I traveled pretty far to attend the Sunday night preparty and the back to back shows. This made me tear up a bit..
fucking beautiful documentary. i'm so glad we all feel the king gizzard bug, can't really explain it but we know it's all love

Damn, great job! I would love to see more content like this.
great film! I was there and I love this. cant wait for Red Rocks and Hollywood '23!
I really like King Gizzard for a lot of the reasons people in the video stated. There are a lot of parallels with KG and Phish, that I don't think a lot of KG fans understand or appreciate.
Intro is epic!

I was at red rocks on the second night. Gizz rules, always has always will. Red rocks is the perfect place for them, they seem to like it as well.
Thanks for making this!
KGLW can't even imagine how much Brazilian fans love him.
KGLW need to visit Brazil in 2023!

Good stuff. Can't wait for all the Gizz inspired bands to start hitting the scene.
Well done, this documentary is a triumph. Good on you for going out and doing it. Also love the colour grade you've done. Best of luck
damn being a fan in NZ is pretty isolating but this is gorgeous to watch
Gizz is coming to NZ in Dec and Jan, did you know? Hope you can try to get there.
thank you for this, hearing some of the peoples experiences through the pandemic was really inspiring, i love this band so much :'))
