In early November of 2019, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard announced a three-hour marathon set at Red Rocks Amphitheater on May 6, 2020. Tickets sold out in less than 24 hours. Another marathon set was added for May 5.
Fans eagerly awaited these shows, knowing that they would be something special…

good doc yo
Anyone happens to know where the footage from around 13:49 is from?
What's the song at 7:10?
The 10th Boogie off of the demo tapes 1-2
@1063Days it's a demo of there's?!?! Freaking incredible band... thanks for the reply, I love it!
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen and it's only 19 minutes. Long Live Gizz 🤘
Im goin to red rocks to see gizz in september, i cannot tell you how lucky i feel
5:10 lmao you still didn’t get it RIP
much love for this community. kglw is the best band ever <3
Wow, this is top Gizz wholesome content. I just can't describe how I clicked with all these people's words, experiences, and actions. In my case, Red Rocks 3rd Night was a peak of my existence, no doubt. I traveled all the way from Monterrey, Mexico by myself to this spot that I had never been to before and where I didn't even knew a single soul around, and still, it was worth every moment. And in the end, I have just found myself repeating this same action, but now visiting the Salt Sheds next June. It feels really nice to know that there are people around that get it, no matter where they may be from. <3
Waited the same 1063 days man! Went camping out in the Colorado woods with my brothers, and then had to greatest experience of my life at Red Rocks. So glad I was one of thousands of people that experienced the exact same thing ❤️❤️ amazing video my man
🎶 "promo sm"
Would love to see a full scale, full budget "on-the-road-with" Rockumentary with this band, ending in a professionally filmed full length live performance. Sundance Film Festival nominated / iMAX Cinema release. The works...!!
YEA BOI
Sweet doc.. thanks for uploading and the work you did.. gizzhead forever
You know how sometimes you are listening to a song, and the band transitions into this part of the song where it they just lock into a total groove, and the song just starts ripping, and you can't help but start dancing and moving around and pumping your fists in the air? That's pretty much every moment of every King Gizzard song from start to finish.
Yes! Well said!
Can someone tell me what songs play at 0:50, 7:10, 9:40 and 10:10 please??
1:46 its just the king rizz
In the almost 3 years between when I bought tickets to these shows and when they happened I got engaged, our daughter was born, moved from Phoenix to seattle, started a new job, and made damn sure king giz is our daughters favorite band. A wild 3 years it was but man was it worth the wait
This is so sick my guy, good work
seeing them in Chicago, Denver and Tennessee this summer, should be cool
King gizzard are so overrated it's not even funny
why watch then?
@@sleepdrifting because I'm a sad, sad man...
At 11:30 the guy talking about breaking the wall is so real. I knew I would like them for the longest time and extremely into psychedelic rock. But once I really started listening to them and went to one of their concerts I absolutely fell in love and they are my favorite band in this generation and possibly the best of their time. 🐊🍄✨
15:50 That's a sweet fuggin' jacket in honor of a sweet fucking song.
Thanks for the efforts man this is great.
I was at the third night and just looking around at how massive the crowd was was insane.
Phish 8/20/93 Red Rocks changed my life!
This is awesome! Can’t wait to see you all at Hollywood Bowl 2023!!!
I discovered KGatLW when i was looking for Les Claypool releases on Amazon and i saw the Nonagon Infinity- album among the "people who purcased this also bought"- list. The band name and cover art made me go: "I already know this appeals to me". This was in 2016.
Some of the realest people on Earth in this video
I was at one of the Red Rocks marathon shows and this mini-doc does a great job of highlighting the band's passionate and friendly fan base. I met two random people in line who traveled to Colorado from Tennessee. We ended up hanging out all night and had a blast.
It wasn’t me, but I also traveled from Tennessee for all 3 nights. Greatest experience of my life!
KGLW can't even imagine how much Brazilian fans love him. KGLW need to visit Brazil in 2023!
There are even some old guys n gals that just like good rock'n'roll who are into the Gizz!
i was there on the second night and am going next year
Are they the new Grateful Dead?...
yes
💖💗💝❤️
Where is the clip at 13:48 from?
So I was at the first night after the long wait from buying the tickets to seeing the gizz wow so good there energy is one of a kind I'm bringing new people this next year to experience this band can't wait see everyone there
Come on down to Cigarette Island Come and join the band Come on down to Cigarette |sland Come and make a stand Come and join all you bleeding hearts and artists We'll clue you what to do We'll bang our heads against these mad buggers wall Till our message gets through and the mighty fall Come on Stikers and Protesters The trampled down long forgotten uderfoot workers The mill trodden worn through nurses and teachers The unelected politicians and unrepresented voters Come on down to Cigarette Island Ukirainian soldiers and Iranian gals It's down at the end of Bleedin' Heart Lane Under the Sun setting screaming howls we'll remember their names x
sick!
🤣 the fan at 15:40 was like “they stand for thissss and thatttt..oh my gawd.” They stand for nothing, gizzard is simply a group of nice guys, playing great music. It is what it is. “Dudes chillin”!!
@@1063Days for sure! I’m sure shes simply happy to be there. For me…throws me off a tad. They have never claimed as a group to stand for any of what she stated to believe in for herself lol but it’s all good. Thanks for keeping me on track lol it’s all about the energy i feel u dude
mansplainerrrrrrrr
like its actually funny how open that they have been about their opinion on all these topics (planned parenthood funding, green party, etc) you just saw a woman and knew you needed to talk down to her 🤷♀️
@@JackknifeJoe-sl1zt like totally 👍
@@JackknifeJoe-sl1zt had to google that 😂 never heard of mansplainer.
had these tickets. got sick and couldn't go.
Oh snap that's me in the Gizzard vest and sunglasses being interviewed near the beginning! I was wondering if I'd ever see this be put online!! SO SO glad to be a part of such a wonderfully passionate group of fans of such an incredible band!
Great video with lovely people❤
Felt like I was watching a documentary on the Scientology cult 😂
Weirdo swarm cult 😎
I really like King Gizzard for a lot of the reasons people in the video stated. There are a lot of parallels with KG and Phish, that I don't think a lot of KG fans understand or appreciate.
merry gizzmas :~)
Never trust a fan that says ‘like’ over and over again. The band frkn rips.
I went night 1 and night 3. I saw them at mission ballroom before the world ended. Night 1 the psychedelics started kicking in while i was waiting in line to get in. I work for the music venues in Denver, I've seen probably around 5,000 shows. Night 1 was something else. <3
head on pill is the song ❤❤❤❤
fuck the rock and roll hall of fame 😂
I am so happy to be part of this gizzard community and i love you all
