52 weeks vol 2 is definitely on my to buy list. From the reviews I’ve seen so far there are so many patterns I love. Also, I’m loving your Dutch heel tutorial!
I use the Rose city roller’s pattern for the shorty sock too. Sometimes I Frankenstein it with another pattern if I want a non vanilla sock. Lately, I’ve been using the Dixie sock pattern by knit on designs for the foot. I’m loving that pattern for shortie socks. I’ve knit a couple of pairs this month.

Too funny. Just looked yesterday to see if there was a new video. Shazam, there was one today. Watched while working the shadow wrap heel. Like it but still getting used to triplet stitches.
Your podcast here was SO ENJOYABLE!!!! Thank you for your time, your sharing of your creations and your enthusiasm for books. I love books too. Our son bought a Kindle for me to load books onto but unfortunately, I found it is not for me. I would rather have a real book. I really enjoy the feel, aroma and the substance of a book (if that makes sense.) I have a wip in a small bag tgat I take everywhere...just incase I find a few minutes to knit my socks! I prefer physical books too. There’s nothing like holding a good book in your hand, and flipping pages!!

I bought two of the 52 weeks books (the sock and the scarf ones) and was intrigued by a number of the sock patterns.... the harder (for me) ones of course! But I'll be making socks till I feel comfortable enough to try some of the more challenging patterns. And there are a lot in that book!

P.S. I for one definitely do NOT need a knitted pig. I hate pigs. I don't want them in any form in my presence. Give me a sheep, goat, dog, bear, otter, monkey, fox, elephant toy or item any day.

Noelle, just a little info to help you like pigs. In Danish tradition, pigs are considered good luck! Every Christmas we always got a little marzipan pig for good luck in the coming year!
@@christenagervais7303 thank you for the info. But I think I'm still not a fan! 😌 Though I DO like marzipan. My mother always bought it at Christmas and it was a real treat. The kind she bought was shaped like fruits. I liked the apples and pineapples 😊

I love making socks - 2 at a time on 2 circular needles. And when I watch any of your videos I want to run out and set up another pair and just keep knitting socks! Your videos and techniques are so tidy and workable I just want to keep knitting even on fingering yarn and size 1 needles. Thank you for striving for excellence!!!

Congrats on your successful shop update. I have the first Laine 52 weeks of socks in paperback so not too expensive. It is photograhed so beautifully. Picked out 5 patterns I think I can easily knit. 1 pair down! Just need more yarn.

I am trying very hard to start a sock pattern but am avoiding it as it is scary. I am trying so hard to get over this but so far without success. I feel I need to focus so much and am not into doing that at this time but want to. Your podcast is great and I would live to someday say that sock knitting is my way to relax. I am really enjoying watching you and hopefully with your inspiration I will get there.
There are so many things in life to be truly scared of, sock knitting should not be one of them!!! Take a deep breath and cast on!!!
I must say I'm afraid, LOL. I want to make a pair of socks, so bad and want that book, but, so far I'm not starting because I have this 'afraid' on my forehead. I love your website so much. love,hugs,prayers.
I would be more afraid to go grocery shopping, than I would to knit a pair of socks. They are very few things in life you get to rip out and redo. This is one of them. Just jump right in. There’s absolutely NOTHING to be afraid of.

I downloaded the free pattern, but it says to start with 36, put 12 on THREE needles.... and then to knit in the round... omg...😵💫
I want to learn how... but im the type who needs to see something done.

I"m so happy to that you're enjoying my channel and tutorials. The mini sock is exactly that, a small sock and is knit the same as a larger sock, just fewer stitches and different distribution of the stitches. If you can follow along with my class you will be able to knit the mini sock with no problem.

Could you direct me in the right direction..I'm looking for a book that has different heel options in it. I've had no luck.
I just entered, sock knitting books heels into Google and there was an array of different options. I would probably scan through some of them to find the exact book that you’re looking for. My favorite is Sock Architecture by Lara Neel.
