Singaporean here. We broke away from Uk in 1959 and gained independence 1965 from Malaya. We are way tinier than you and we were destined to be weak due to our small island and lack of resources. But we became an Asian Tiger economy and now we are ultra rich and prosperous boasting the finest military technology and with a multi cultural nation. Scotland it is not impossible, many nations have broken away and are successful to this day from UK.
