      Put everything you want on a registry like amazon and have people buy it for you. I’d add a few inexpensive items as not everyone can afford things like strollers or swings. Hope you have a safe and healthy and happy pregnancy and baby!

    Honest question, not judging her or anyone. But how a person with not that much money can be able to have a newborn when you can’t buy 90% of that stuff? Seriously. I’m struggling cause I wanted to be organized like her and have all the stuff me and my baby need. But I can’t afford all this. What can I do???

    • @JessicaGiffin
      @JessicaGiffin  4 года назад +5

      I’m sorry if this video gave you any sort of anxiety. All you really need for a newborn is a safe place for him/her to sleep, a car seat, diapers, wipes and a few zip up onesies. It’s also good to have infant Tylenol on hand.
      Sign up for registries that offer free (or very inexpensive baby boxes with tons of free baby supplies inside including bottles, soap lotions, pacifiers ect.) ones I know off the top of my head are target, amazon and babylist.
      You’ve got this!

    • @esmeraldadominguez6899
      @esmeraldadominguez6899 4 года назад

      I’m in the same situation. You can get free samples/ baby boxes from Walmart, target, Babylist, Amazon, parasol CO, noobiebox, enfamil, similac. And you can also get a free breast pump through your insurance. The only thing is that amazon, Babylist and Noobie box require shipping but everything else is absolutely free. What I’m doing is I’m asking my friends and family to sign up for the subscriptions that are absolutely free to be sent to their homes because it’s only one box per household. I have literally ordered like 10 Walmart boxes (those are the fastest one to get through delivery) and I have so many Dr.Brown 8oz bottles that cost 15 dollars. There’s a lot more places that give free samples but unfortunately because of the coronavirus a lot of them are not giving them anymore. But the ones I mentioned still are. goodluck and congratulations.

    • @laneybugg2825
      @laneybugg2825 4 года назад +1

      Post your registry/send it to family members and friends. Join local mom groups (I’m in one on Facebook for the state I live in) as they often have moms that give away free/sell formula, clothes, even brand new things they didn’t use. Shop at thrift stores specifically for baby items, I found that they tend to have more and nicer things than just going to goodwill, but look there too if you want. Look into everything that your insurance covers or will, for example a lot of women get free breast pumps etc. Shop at places like dollar tree, she even said in the video her she got some of her organizers from there. Don’t be scared of 2nd hand/hand me downs, as long as you wash, check for defects/damages, and sterilize them good. If you’re accepting any furniture or toys, make sure you check that it was not recalled. Also check department stores, I found higher end baby brand stuff for half the regular price at Ross. Sorry this was super long but these are just some things I’ve been doing as well :). Also check clearance items, search for coupons (a lot of baby brands websites will offer 20% off if you sign up to get emails etc), sign up for free rewards (I know diapers does this).

    • @esmeraldadominguez6899
      @esmeraldadominguez6899 4 года назад

      Amanda Sbeghen also IKEA has a decent amount of very affordable baby stuff

    • @amandasbeghen1171
      @amandasbeghen1171 4 года назад +2

      Laney bugg I’m not scared of used stuff, I’m poor so I’m used to it. I don’t have friends and family to send my registry cause They don’t live in the same country. The things I got was secondhand. The thing I’m trying to tell is that it’s so overwhelming and full of stuff we need to have. In no way I wanted to judge her and I’m not jealous of her having all the things. I’m happy that she’s able to have everything. I just
      Wanted to vent out a little cause we are living a chaotic time and this is my first baby and I’m so stressed with everything. That’s all. And all the hormones and everything. Is just a lot
      To take. A lot to learn in little time. Sorry. And if it sounded rude, it wasn’t supposed to

    I am so glad I breastfeed! I think of all the money and time I save for me and baby. Crazy this puts it in perspective! I have breastfed 8 of my 9 babies and plan to the 10th as well. I dont use a pump either. I usually get 3 cups when baby is about 9 months old and a bowl or two for chopped and mashed organic fruits and veggies. I should do a video on how to save tons of money 😅😅😅
    Cute rocker thing. I co sleep so saved there. I have kept my old swing. I need a new diaper genie tho. Lol. I think that is the only thing I still need.

    So not when this was done 🤷‍♀️ but was wondering how using the depends worked out?? I’m having my 3 rd C-Section and it just seems like having to bend down to change them like undies would be hard🧐🧐😬?? I also was wondering if your still using a pad and just having them as support?? Anything that helps make it easier is great just wondering how they worked for you??🥰🥰🥰🤗

    I love the rattan/wicker basonettes but I keep reading that they are an unsafe trend. I can’t fit a proper bedside crib next to my bed... any thoughts? Xxx

    You are beautiful and your home is beautiful! You seem like an amazing person. I know you have had your baby by now. I wish you nothing but happiness. I’ve been binging these kind of videos lately but not pregnant yet. I’ve been trying 9 years now with my husband. Yes, I have seen a doctor and know what we need to do now. Please pray I get pregnant very soon! Thank you and God bless to everyone!

    You said you wash your clothes with the natural organic detergent, for coming in contact with the baby. What about other people not living with you coming in contact with the baby? How do you deal with that?

    Instead of using the boogie mist you can use breast milk for the crusty boogers.
    Get a small tiny piece of cotton , soak it with fresh breast milk, 1 drop of breast milk in each nostril will loosen the crusty booger . My baby sneeze after I dot that n all the boogers come out lol

    I feel so weird haha. I didn't need depends with either of my two births lol. My bleeding either had stopped or slowed to heavy period levels by the time I got home. But they did give me shots due to a hemorrhage with my first which probably helped the 2nd time🤣

    • @glitterginger
      @glitterginger 3 года назад

      I have had 9 babies now and really dont even bleed at all 2 days after birth. I never had shots for bleeding. I just breastfed every 2 hours and the contractions push it out and help the uterus return to normal. It is amazing.

    What brand are the burp clothes? I'm trying to decide which are very absorbent

    • @TM.BECK14
      @TM.BECK14 4 года назад

      Anything cotton or bamboo should be highly absorbent :) I would just avoid anything synthetic like microfiber/polyester since they are less so, and Baby may be more sensitive to those materials.
