If anyone ever argues that they don't like playing Minecraft anymore, I'm gonna point out how they basically said screw ydyd rules for like 4 parts so they could keep playing together
Like, I'm sad we have to wait another year for a real ydyd, but I'm so happy they all got to just play together again. I missed Geoff
People saying they don't like playing Minecraft are probably projecting Ray's opinion, but I would say that AH definitely has the times when a video is more for the sake of the upload schedule than them actually being in the mood to enjoy it to it's fullest. With how Minecraft used to just spew out video after video after video, there's no doubt they had some fatigue for it at some point, but I feel like their Skyfactory/Galacticraft/etc playthroughs gave them a fresh enthusiasm for the base game once more.

@@TuffMelon a lot of the fatigue was from the xbox version as well. People constantly getting dropped and if the host xbox crashes everything is lost.
YDYD4: When you die you don't actually die because we all really just wanted to play together again so we broke the rules any chance we got.

What I love the most about YDYD is that they somehow manage to make each season vastly different from the other. And most of the time, it's completely by accident.
Gavin getting caught in the monster tornado needs an overly detailed animated adaptation immediately
Like I want to see the last landing shown as Gavin desperately clinging onto the grass trying to stay down before he pulled back up only for a spider to fly in from off screen, spread its legs out, and slam into him cutting off his audio
Geoff's 'Knock it off' when they're talking about lava diamonds gets me every time
One of the best reoccurring things in AH Minecraft
I love how Geoff decided to come back during a YDYD. The only other place we really get him if F**k Face, so his time here was EXTRA precious.

Alfredo and Lindsey both living longer than expected yet having lackluster deaths is amazing
I was seriously impressed (and happy to see) how long Lindsay lasted. They have a similar gaming stlye as Alfredo which is being super careless and magooing, but somehow Alfredo always gets lucky lmaoo
Lindsey had the most "Lindsey" death to date. To have lived through such tough stuff to Magoo themself to death is on key for them.

Gavin getting himself killed by a falling tree has GOT to be up there with his biggest 'derp' moments, ever.... :D
Nah the fact they don't carry buckets of water is the biggest derp as fire has killed them more than any other threat
To be fair to Gavin, I doubt he thought he would die becuase he fell on the tree
@@hausmaster9801 yo you're fckn right. That's like safety kit especially for dogs that grt burned or dick around in lava. I keep a bucket of water, lava, and flint steel in Minecraft pocket.
@@Drewcifffer Yeah it's basic survival, fire kills water stops it, lava helps with enemy swarms and flint is useful if you get stuck in nether or need to kite mobs. It's the simple stuff they struggle with
I'd say Lindsey surviving an onslaught of zombies and skeletons with half a heart just to immedietly jump down the small cliff to her death was the most 'derp' in these 2h
The door, door handle thing made me think Gavin's mind would be blown if he learns that can openers were invented waaaay after canned food

@@thedevilisaloser666 yeah canned food as a preservation method was around for like 20 or 30 years before the can opener was. I think they used shit like a hammer a chisel to open the cans originally

@@oscarpines7927 Well early cans weren't made from bendable aluminium, it was more than often a cylinder or box of forged iron, so a common joke amongst French soldiers was that if your bayonet could open a can (of food), the bayonet was sharp enough.

Can we all just acknowledge Gavin’s yell there? Like, no joke, that is one of the most impassioned and fearful exclamations I’ve ever heard. It was like Gavin was legitimately afraid Alfredo was about to die for real.
It reaches anime-levels of terrified screaming for a loved one.

I didn’t care for the YDYD rules, I was just happy to see them all play together again, and that Geoff guy was there so that was kinda cool.

It still bothers me how no one bothered to light up the forest of death, since many people nearly died in there and Alfredo actually died in there.
lindsay's final death was such a genuine reflection of the luck she stumbles into and then, due to sheer incompetence, just dies for the stupidest reason

Listen, I understand Gavin’s armored organs talk, but you still have a head that can get shot, or the rest of your body you can bleed out from.
Actually, you can bleed out around your armored organs anyway! Plus, even if you get shot in the kidneys, the bullet may not pierce, but the impact could cause them to rupture from the inside.

I think it’s a toss-up between 2 and 3.
2 was kind of difficult to watch because of how miserable their home island was and how brutal the drowned were.
3 was just... eh, in my opinion. It didn’t have the glitz and glamor (the newness also helped) of the first season, and it didn’t have the resurrection mechanic of the second. I will say, the ending of 3 was among my favorites
