I've been rewatching Sky Factory just to hear Geoff
Gavin dying by being crushed by a tree whilst recounting the story of how he was almost knocked out by a tree is truly peak Gavin.

This video was just.. wholesome feeling. The guys seemed to genuinely be having fun and enjoying eachother. I'm not even a little upset that they restarted. Id rather see them all playing, having fun making shenanigans then stick strictly to the rules.
Exactly, I much prefer them having fun together rather than being overly cautious. If I was looking for strict adhesion to the rules, I would not be watching AH lol
They can have fun while following the rules at the same time. There's plenty to do in Minecraft before they have to resort hitting each other with swords for entertainment. Especially when they get themselves killed on purpose because they realize nobody wants to watch Minecraft with only less than half the crew in it.
Man, that first part would’ve been a great April Fool’s Day Episode.

For what its worth, the only reason they don’t do stuff like that, is that the company was founded on April 1st. So they see it as a day of celebration and official announcements- playing jokes on the day itself kinda kills that vibe

@@rwn1971 I think Geoff was going through some major shit in his life when they recorded that episode, so he probably wasn't in the best place emotionally. I might be wrong though. I don't know him outside of videos, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

@@rwn1971 I think the point of that episode was Geoff could only be in for like 10 minutes, so he tried to get them to case him in glass, and when that fell through, he decided to play up a ragequit.
the comedic timing of Gavin dying from a tree branch after Geoff tells the story of him not sunbathing because a tree branch fell on him is just.... 10/10
Gavin dying to the tree while in the midst of a tree story has to be the wildest, funniest thing that I've seen in these lets plays

@@0ia Man it's the first episode, and it's a game. I'd much rather see Michael and Gavin alive for at least the rest of this episode than have death "mean something" in a sandbox game.
Imagine you and your closest friends are all stranded together in the wilderness, knowing you have to work together to survive, and within five minutes you've all managed to beat each other to death.

I do think they should start the ya dead ya actually dead rule on episode 3, give them time to build up stuff so that losing it is even more devastating, also I want to see as much Geoff as possible.
I don't mind that rule because they honestly all just suck at minecraft despite having more hours than probably at least 95% of players.

The tree didn't fall on Gavin, he jumped on it as it was falling. I guess the shockwave killed him.
See, that is known in fighting game terms as a very active move. The tree caught gavin's cross-up with it's "fall" attack
Well like sand, when falling you go right through, gav fell through the tree. Landed on the ground. The tree then "fell" on his feet and this counted as the tree crushing him. Not really his fault in my opinion at all

Prior to door knobs, doors just had a lock and you pushed it open, or occasionally a fixed handle. Many houses didn't even have locks on doors. Valuables, if any, were locked in a secured chest, a lockbox.
That explains all the RPG protagonists walking into random peoples houses.

I feel like this is the true Achievement Hunter (and Lindsay). I missed seeing Geoff, Papa Jack, then actually hearing Trevor laugh for the first time, Mogar returns, Gavin’s oopsies…. Just feeling like a real family, a real return to what I grew up watching.
