I love the way that you combine the story of Kazuki‘s creativity with Large Format Photography. Please keep making these stories. They’re inspiring and they make me want to take more portraits with my large format camera (only 4x5, but it still counts)
It's another great episode. The parallax shot of the vase is very satisfying to watch. I think this is a great channel for teenagers who's interested in arts and craft.
I love this story telling and portrait at the end. Reminds me of documentary style shows on public television when I was younger and the portraits at the end are an awesome touch!
YES! I used to watch this show called Movie Magic when I was a kid and it was all behind the scenes stories of the people did special effects, or camera work, or stunts. It was so cool.
let's fucking goooo! another great episode. i love the pov of this channel being about other people which is rare in a time of great narcissism. great stories, great vibes, beautiful images of course.
Subscribed! I had the opportunity to take some photos at a commercial glass blowing shop several years ago. It was very cool (figuratively) and interesting to see how the different pieces were made and the teamwork amongst the crew.
Excellent video and great environmental portrait. It would be interesting for us mere mortals to understand how you calculated the optimum exposure by taking multiple light readings. Keep up the great work. Atb.
Great video. I noticed at 7:57, when you are getting ready to pull the trigger he straightens his back and pumps his chest slightly. This happens to me way too often. I wish the subject would stay in the relaxed and natural pose, that comes from waiting on the photographer. How do people avoid this?
Very nice video. I like a lot the mix of documentary with a little touch of technical details about the shot. Is it an accidental vertical shift just before you cock the shutter ?
Thank you for watching! There are a lot of options to start with, depending on your priorities - weight, stability, build quality, range of movements etc. But I think if you're curious to get started in the format with an affordable field camera, definitely check out Intrepid Cameras. They are super affordable, brand new, and the company is involved with the film community. The step up would be Chamonix for field cameras, and if you want absolute precision, there are Arca Swiss cameras. You can also find plenty of used cameras but they won't have that customer support if you eventually need it.
This series is so incredibly inspiring. Thank you
Thank you for watching! Hope to keep large format (and all film) going for a while!

I loved this one! Especially seeing your process, your math and all the little tasks to taking these photos. A step back in time.
Thanks Man! For all 🙏🏼

Very cool

Thank you for watching!
I have the same approach: 1st background, 2nd light.

Thank you for watching! And good catch 😆 I did accidentally bump the front standard a bit and it caused some fall on the lens.
videos are brilliant mate truly inspirational
I’m looking at moving up to 4x5 do you have any advice as far as what camera to start with ? Cheers
