The writers destroyed Andie so they could put Pacey and Joey together which was sooooo dumb!!!! Till this day, 2023, I still believe Andie and Pacey should have been endgame!!

Im the same way. Im a PA fan and a DJ fan. I wanted Joey and Dawson together and Pacey and Andie together.

PA Yes, Pacey deserves more, Andie needs him and he felt strong and precious to her and her family, he didn't feel the same way with Joey (she's making one step foward two steps back again and again..) and Pacey felt insecure and not equal with her. And Dawson and Jen, after Mitch death, the relationship of dawson and Jen was so mature and complete it's a shame to destroy it because the little Joey wants to be THE ONE and only the one.👎

Yeah, Pacey and Joey may have ended up together, but I think him and Andie will always be soulmates. Soulmates don't always end up as couples but are linked together forever. I think Pacey and Andie are like that.

I had a really negative reaction to them ending. I believe I wrote a letter and called Paul Stupin, Paul Stupid. But seeing this and my other P/A marathon just makes me realize I was absolutely right. Yes, sixon navade, they definitely should have been endgame.
Josh and Meredith did such a wonderful job with all of the emotions that this couple went through. They were a hardcore ship of mine that I'll always hold close to my heart.

I never cared for Pacey and Joey as a couple b/c Andie was the first person who believed in him. I'm so glad she came back again in the series finale. They remind me of Naley from One Tree Hill.

Always supported Pacey and Joey in the end, because I felt the show suitably developed them to that point. But I never had anything against Pacey and Andie either and i've always loved this scene. Because as important as Joey might be to Pacey, he is absolutely right when he says that it was Andie that believed in him and pushed him. Not that he owes her anything, but it's nice to see that acknowledged in such a heartwarming manner, where he appears truly happy to be telling her and she's truly happy for him.

Orochi2345678 I'm glad to know that I'm not the only Pacey and Joey fan here but this was nice especially how it ended with Pacey and Andie and to be honest maybe it's just me but I never liked Pacey and Joey with anyone else that's why I never watched season 5

Ughh my sentimental OTP in Dawson’s Creek… I didn’t mind the endgame of the show, but nothing beats Pacey and Andie’s chemistry and connection..they’re legit soulmates. I wished we had more of them, but the writers legit wrote her off so horribly. I was so upset and how they handled Andie..of course characters can cheat even the loyal Andie can make mistakes. But there were so many other things that were so out of character and NOT ANDIE.. or her values. However, I love how she came back in the graduation episode and the series finale. She will always have a special place in that show and YES.. she was the first person who believed in Pacey’s potential to be great and that he is indeed a good person despite his flirty bad boy image. He changed and wanted to be a better person..have a better life BECAUSE OF ANDIE. She was his first true inspiration and first true love.

I didn't find Andie that attractive but when they allowed Meredith to look like herself when she returns in this episode and the series finale, she was drop dead gorgeous and glowed on screen.

Yes, her styling was ridiculous throughout season 3 but she really is pretty.

@CH-oo1ko Joey had some bad styling in season 3 also. Hence why (according to episode commentary), the stylist was leg go after season 3. I love Joey's wardrobe season 4 and Andy's improved also. Jen, meanwhile, always looked good to me. Well, except that leather phase in season 2.

Josh & Meredith had such amazing chemistry.

    • @francarrey7501

Josh had chemistry with everyone he worked with except that Jen and Pacey storyline where they are friends with benefits and worked better as friends than lovers. Every Dawson and Joey needs a Pacey and Jen to keep them grounded and helped them grow. Pacey did that for Joey while Jen did that for Dawson.

  • @francarrey7501

I loved this scene because it was the start of Pacey believing in himself, being happy with who he was, and stopped comparing his life to others. Yes, he had other shortcomings and failures to come but he overcame him and showed the world what he could do whether pursuing the woman or older woman he loved or desired, sailing, cooking, or being a stock broker. I know everyone hates the stockbroker storyline but I loved it because we got to see Pacey's potential on overload and his family and friends switched from hating on him for being an underachiever to being an overachiever making a beaucoup of money.

  • @ЮлияКузнецова-г3щ7о

The showrunners thew Andy and brought together Pacey and Joey. It is not so awful. It happens in real life. We fell with one person, he or she influences us, but later we grow up and love another one. Awful is they weren't given enough time. She just disappeared as if she ment nothing to him. It was necessary to show at least his memories of her, how he compares her and Joey. I know there was a dialogue where Pacey told Andy that she had been the first one who made him get better, but it was cut out! So we got an unrealistic end of the story. Why could Joey have a soul mate and Pacey couldn't?

This is when they should have the two of them reunite. A much better couple than Pacey / Joey

Never seen such a "real" couple on TV.
Will never get over how they destroyed them. I read that Josh had a bit of crush on Meredith when she first joined and Diane Kruger reminds me of her, (accept Meredith is prettier IMO), hehe.

Honestly, I thought Pacey and Joey made an 'ok' couple, but I didn't think of them as anything special. The whole "you helped me start to believe in myself" didn't really work for me cause the exact same story had already been told with Andie as his girlfriend! It all had so much more meaning between Andie & Pacey, because it was actually the first time Pacey got better, felt better and so on. Joey did the whole thing all over again, so I kinda lost interest pretty quick. I mean, how many girls is he gonna tell they were the first one to help him with his family problems and insecurity complex? The story is getting old now, that's how I felt

Agreed and this is why I can’t invested in Pacey and Joey. I mean, I respect the chemistry and all that, but overall, it feels like the writers tried to copy/paste Pandie’s dynamic onto Pacey and Joey, and basically tried to villainize and diminish Andie’s importance in order to support their new narrative. It’s always bugged me.

Shows MUST make money & to do so you must have sets on. You must have a loyal fan-base that cares. Why do we care so much? We find characters we fantasize @ or look at & say- that's me! Fans care most @ J & P b/c fans could most identify with them. A girl cares most @ Joey & fantasized @ Pacey doing anything to win YOUR heart. Pace is THE teen guy. Don't let anyone fool you- it would have been P/A,D/J had there been enough support for Dawson or Andie. There wasn't b/c fans rejected them.

    • @lirpa2300
      @lirpa2300 5 месяцев назад

Clearly, that didn't work because the show got canceled. NOT catering to a certain fanbase but instead sticking to good storytelling would have kept the show on longer. The writing for Pacey and Andy was better than Pacey and Joey. The writers had no clue on how to write Pacey and Joey together. Pacey and Joey were miserable senior year walking on eggshells around Dawson, ruined Dawson and Pacey's friendship, (they were never the same) and Pacey always felt like he wasn't good enough for Joey. Who wasn't surprised that they broke up by the end of the year. Season 4 was one of the worst seasons because of Pacey and Joey's relationship, it caused the writing for everything else to be bad.
Pacey and Andy had better writing and their relationship was more balanced and they brung out the best in each other and was ruined to push a contrived loved triangle which ultimately ruined the characters and the show but at least the fanbase has their precious Joey and Pacey together....SMH!!!!
