- Join me for a day in Seoul as a British expat in Korea! In this video, I start off studying Korean with my language exchange partner, diving into the language and culture. Then, I explore a popular area to try some unique and aesthetic Korean photo booths-which I guarantee will surprise you! Afterward, I hit the shops, check out a Korean-style movie theater to watch the new Venom movie, and I end the night with friends at a local bar and PC cafe. If you’re in your 20s or 30s and dreaming of travel to South Korea, come experience the highlights of expat life in Seoul with me!

Love your attitude. You recognize that Korean is the language in Korea. That as a foreigner it is you that should be making the effort to learn Korean. I just watched a video of an American couple. The woman kept comparing Korea to the US and saying the staff only spoke Korean. I don't have much tolerance for willfully ignorant tourists to any country!
yeah to be honest, I've met a lot of entitled tourists here that were angry that many Korean people could't speak English which was just ridiculious. In my opinion if you visit another country you should be willing to speak their language!
@@TheAlexToonShow Koreans go out of their way to help people who look lost even when they don't speak English. There are a lot of travel vloggers who spend their videos complaining about inconveniences. I turn those videos off.

I have been studying Korean for about a year now and initially started with Rosetta Stone unfortunately and have been heavily using flashcard apps and youtube to learn but do you have any recommendations for a structured program that is not Rosetta Stone
@@pq7185 great question , to be honest I just did the same as you , I used flash card apps and RUclips videos to learn, but what I do now is I use the TalkToMeInKorean textbook as when I used RUclips to learn Korean grammar, I was quite lost as the order was not organised well~ then once I learned basic grammar , I focused on learning as many words as I could, just so I could understand what the general conversation was about- then to improve your speaking and listening you have to make some kind of language exchange partner or teacher, for me, my speaking improved a lot because I used to communicate a lot in Korean in friendships and relationships, I hope this helps🙇🏼♂️
