Love your videos Hugh! I have a repair shop in MI, USA. This video helped me feel confident to manhandle a iPad Pro frame/housing for a customer. Using a heating pad to make the metal malleable was helpful. That repair was 2 and a half weeks ago. Now, when I use the black spudger to get ribbon cables up I use what I call the “Hugh Jeffreys Method”. The quick back and forth movements while slowly pressing forward (99% Isopropyl alcohol on the end also goes a long way). I thought you might get a kick out that! I think you might also like the fact that I have it set up so people can rent a work station in my shop and repair their device themselves for cheaper then I repairing it. (Customers are to do their HW before hand if they call in. If they are a walk in then I give them pointers beforehand and they can use the iPads I have to access repair videos). If they feel they do not understand what to do next and/or that they are going to damage the device; they are to ask for help. When I guide the customers and we get to that point I teach them to use the Hugh Jeffreys Method! Thank you so much.
