Traditional kabaddi is extremely taxing on the cardio. Technicllay, a runner must speak the words kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi, etc. while running. If you stop, you are out. The kabaddi league is the 2nd most popular sport to watch on TV in india, behind Cricket. Now, the really controversy is where did Kabaddi come from, because it's very similar to the Persian game of Zu.
For those that need some background on the wrestler. His name is AJ Ferrari. He's incredibly talented and won the National Championship as a true freshman at Oklahoma State at 197lbs in 2021. He then proceeded to take this fame and was both accused of SA with a woman and also got into a horrific head on car accident after he decided to pass a car going 100+ mph over the top of a hill in a no passing zone. Not only is he lucky to be alive, but he was then cut from Oklahoma State as a result of his actions outside of the sport. He also has a younger brother that was actively being recruited to wrestle at Iowa. The anticipated plan was that AJ would transfer to Iowa (this particular tournament was an Open so he was wrestling unattached to any particular team), but now after these actions it's uncertain if any college is going to want him.
I came to the comments hoping someone had the story on his, just the way he was acting in that short clip, easy to tell there's something wrong with in. Not even surprised he's as bad as he seems.
Did he have a head injury from the car wreck? (I'm not trying to be a smartass, I promise.) Some people behave completely different and bizarre after serious head injuries. Both Roseanne Barr and Sam Kinnison were perfectly normal until they each individually suffered head injuries (car wreck/hit by car) in their teenage years. What we've seen from their erratic behavior stems from the brain injuries they suffered. By all accounts, neither one of them were off the charts until their accidents that resulted in brain injuries. Just wondering if that's the case here? Maybe this wrestler is going down the same road as post-concussion Antonio Brown...
Not surprised, the dude acts like he can just do whatever as if rules don't apply to him. I hope he gets his stuff together before learning the hard way ending up all alone or worse.

1. Easiest Fan of the week vote I've ever made. 2. My immediate thought of any Kabaddi footage ive ever watched is that every player looks angry all the time.
The most amusing part of Kabaddi is that the raiding player has to be repeatedly saying the word “Kabaddi.” The idea is that needing to be repeatedly saying it messes with breath control, and also if you have to concentrate on tagging, escaping, AND chanting that’s a bigger mental task.
I believe the idea is that the raider is supposed to hold their breath the entire time they're in the opponents zone. Obviously at a professional level this would be almost impossible to verify so they have to constantly repeat kabaddi so even if you can breath it's very limited.
@@apocello42 Back then Kabaddi was not a professional game like it is now. In the past, when we were playing Kabaddi in our childhood, we used to hold our breath and repeatedly chant "Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi" during every raid. But, It is not practical to chant "Kabaddi" repeatedly and hold your breath at the professional level. So they replaced it with a time limit. Now each raid has a time limit of 30 seconds. I’ve started showing lots of people these videos. Cuz usually my RUclips videos are too specific or weird for the average friend or family member. This content is PERFECT for crossover appeal
Honestly Kabaddi seems like something I could really like. Simple but definitely hair raising game to watch for sure. Been loving finding cool sports here on your channel. I even have a very small understanding of Cricket now lol
This could not be a better segment. Takes me back to when i first experienced their early mlb breakdowns. Crazy to think of the growth. Mad love and respect 💯
That is such a Hezonja moment for Real Madrid. Dude is a crazy athlete and highlight machine but couldn’t do it enough to stick in the league lol. That wrestler is weird
Its actually points for an all-out in Kabaddi, So the ref gave three for 1+2, 1 for the Raider getting out and 2 for the all out. Also, There's bonus points, super tackles, super raids and baulk lines among other stuff that make it loads interesting.
Couple pretty cool tidbits: 1) That first game was the first 3OT and 4OT game in Euroleague history. 2) Kabaddi is awesome and I first heard about it through anime. They have to chant "kabaddi" the whole time that they are raiding. 3) All PWHL games are live on RUclips in the US!
The wrestler is 100% on the juice. I also find it amazing that women's hockey already has I larger audience than the WNBA. But after watching the woman players from the college game just throwing the ball out of bounds all the time I can see why.
Well, he won the NCAA championship a couple of years ago. And his blue-chip brother will be on the Iowa roster as well. Coach Brands stated he won't be wrestling for Iowa this year. But, I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up next year. After all, Iowa is trying to beat Penn State's dynasty
I let a RUclips livestream of Kabbaldi play in the background in my office while I was working once and got utterly infatuated with it. It’s genuinely entertaining.
My college had a pretty solid women's hockey program and I had a couple friends on the team. A lot of the gang would go to the games to support them and it was always a great time. Happy to see it's finally got a pro scene with a strong fan turnout!
The raider in kabaddi has to hold his breath the whole time (or chant Kabaddi the whole time so the ref knows he’s not breathing) the round ends when he crosses back or when he stops chanting
I forgot all about kabaddi for 2 years and thought this video looked familiar. Someone commented on that reddit post I tagged you in and now it all makes sense
To the people that are bringing up the s*xual assault allegations against the wrestler, it seems like y’all don’t understand the part where he is still “innocent until proven guilty.” I hope y’all don’t ever have to go through with what the accused Duke Lacrosse students had to endure. That is, assuming that you now realize that accusations should _NOT_ be treated as facts. If you still wanna treat the wrestler as if he is a r*pist, then I hope you endure EVERYTHING that the accused Duke Lacrosse students had to go through until you _finally_ understand the importance of “innocence until proven guilty.”
Loved the PWHL analysis. 43 definitely made that whole play happen. The PWHL has been great to watch since it's available on RUclips. The competition has been excellent so far.
Kabaddi is freaking awesome and y'all should be watching it. Rules aren't that complicated so you'll probably pick them up quick. The American language announcers get so hyped it's funny.
Hockey does have secondary assists but she still didn't get one. She passed it to her team mate who took a shot which was blocked, so her assist opportunity was reset the moment the shot was blocked.

Ferrari went through every range of emotion. He even had time to hit the good ol double bird while doing the splits at the same time. That dude is going place, i'm not sure where, but it'll be somewhere!
He has to be on a team first for that to happen. I don't know if any will be willing to have him after that lack of control. Naturally Iowa would be the place for crazy, poorly tempered wrestlers to go, but he appears too crazy even for them. And yes Aaron Brooks probably could beat him, but Ferrari is still crazy talented, even if he's a loose cannon.

It is a lot of fun to watch! It's hilarious watching 6 players run away from one player, and then suddenly play pile up on him xD
Yamazaki has been waiting for his whole life for Kabaddi to be featured on Jomboy!
Kabadi is on hulu during the day. Watched it everyday after my hip surgery 😂
I teach my elementary PE students about Kabaddi and we play a modified version in our class. They love it!
Its actually points for an all-out in Kabaddi, So the ref gave three for 1+2, 1 for the Raider getting out and 2 for the all out. Also, There's bonus points, super tackles, super raids and baulk lines among other stuff that make it loads interesting.
Couple pretty cool tidbits:
1) That first game was the first 3OT and 4OT game in Euroleague history.
2) Kabaddi is awesome and I first heard about it through anime. They have to chant "kabaddi" the whole time that they are raiding.
3) All PWHL games are live on RUclips in the US!
That wrestler is just showing he has what it takes to be a professional... As in professional wrestling as in WWE 😂
“even the baby enjoying it. no that baby crying”😭🤣 got me rolling
Can't lie. I am ECSTATIC that you covered Kabaddi. I've been watching it since last year, and I can't get enough. Also, amazing vid as always
What is your team ?
Lol reminds me of the guy at court who jumped the table to get his hands on the judge
The wrestler is 100% on the juice. I also find it amazing that women's hockey already has I larger audience than the WNBA. But after watching the woman players from the college game just throwing the ball out of bounds all the time I can see why.
in the PWHL play #43 did get the secondary assist on the OT goal. Hockey can a goal scorer and up to two assist pre a goal.
She did, Jomboy doesn’t know hockey.
@@ArtieLovesPancakes143 I know and I like @Jomboy Media so that's why I'm trying to help not belittle him with what I said.
Yes to this series. Keep it coming
So stoked you’re finally talking about Kabaddi!
As a former wrestler, not only was he a douche, but that kid ain't doing anything at Iowa besides cleaning the mats.
And cleaning headgear and jock straps.
Thank you Jomboy!! I love all these niche sports you cover, this is one of my favourite series to watch every week.
Thank you for showing me that wrestler lol that squat cran pose with double middle finger is so great 😂
#43 for Montreal is Kristin O'Neill
That's a nice baby sky hook. I miss seeing that move in basketball, college or pro.
Thanks for showing the PWHL! The league has been electric to watch! Tons of fun and great for the sport!
That was a Steph Curry 3, closer to half court than the 3 point line.
I did not know this sport before but Kabaddi really does look like a pretty fun game to play and watch
How does #43 not get an assist?
43 should get second assist
Definitely got the 2nd assist lol
Too much time in between
He doesn’t know hockey. Def a 2nd assist
@@MacMuffins65 that isn't a thing...
My college had a pretty solid women's hockey program and I had a couple friends on the team. A lot of the gang would go to the games to support them and it was always a great time. Happy to see it's finally got a pro scene with a strong fan turnout!
This was an exceptionally good episode this week, Jimmy. Keep up the good work!
The raider in kabaddi has to hold his breath the whole time (or chant Kabaddi the whole time so the ref knows he’s not breathing) the round ends when he crosses back or when he stops chanting
#43 should have gotten an assist. In hockey there is a primary and second assist to goals.
She did, Jomboy doesn’t know hockey.
More fans at a professional women’s hockey game than there are at a WNBA game. That’s awesome!!
02:10 chaddest face ever.
Incredible video, aj ferrari being aj ferrari, the kabaddi education, the peak women's basketball athleticism
I’m confused I think she did get a secondary assist on that goal am I wrong?
She did, Jomboy doesn’t know hockey.
Glad you showed women’s hockey. Impressive display and pretty entertaining
"lets not get confused on porpouse " I love this
love this segment. Great work
Number 43 on the Womens Hockey team seems like a DAWG. She's definitely a baller!
I forgot all about kabaddi for 2 years and thought this video looked familiar. Someone commented on that reddit post I tagged you in and now it all makes sense
To the people that are bringing up the s*xual assault allegations against the wrestler, it seems like y’all don’t understand the part where he is still “innocent until proven guilty.”
I hope y’all don’t ever have to go through with what the accused Duke Lacrosse students had to endure.
Jomboy's commentary is always great. He can make any boring or obscure sport entertaining.
Kabaddi is freaking awesome and y'all should be watching it. Rules aren't that complicated so you'll probably pick them up quick. The American language announcers get so hyped it's funny.
Sidebar-I'd love to see a NFL player or something try their hand at it. Wonder if they'd just carry people across the mid line.
@@RR-oy1yh You have to do all of that on one breath. You have to continuously say "kabadi" on an exhale while raiding.
A. That dude was mad quick with the selfie.
hockey has secondary assists, she definitely gets a point
Came here for this.
Hockey does have secondary assists but she still didn't get one. She passed it to her team mate who took a shot which was blocked, so her assist opportunity was reset the moment the shot was blocked.
@@WEID3RYou shouldn't have because it wasn't an assist lol.
HOW WAS I NOT SUBSCRIBED!! WHAT HAPPENED? Huge fan, watch you all the time! Go get'em Jomboy!
Steroids are a helluva drug.
Kabaddi on Jomboy! Only learned about this sport 3-4 years ago, really cool stuff.
Who is this guy? 😂 he should be in wwe instead
I love to see the PWHL on here. It's been such an amazing start for the league, and it's so exciting to see great talent get recognized.
This women hockey league looks pretty cool. Was never planning on watching it but I might check out a few games.
As a wrestling fan seeing AJ Ferrari hit Jomboys channel is the funniest shit of all time.
I didn’t miss the PWHL because I did plan on watching it and it has been great!!!
8K fans in attendance. That's like 3 WNBA games worth of attendance, woot.
Maybe watching women play basketball is just boring?
@@Klake-bk2dp Depends on the team. The University of Iowa sold out all of their Women's Basketball games this year.
that's pretty huge, outside of Minnesota, most PWHL arenas only have about between 8,000 to 10,000 capacity.
Fan of the week A hands down!
That wrestler doesn’t realize it’s NOT professional wrestling.
Spent the entire morning watching Kabaddi before watching this video. The sport is legiiiit - and the commentators on ESPN are sick; learning all sorts of Indianisms to try out with my Indian buddies.
English commentary is fun . Isn't it ?
Great breakdown on that hockey game. Good skating. I'm here for the baseball tho
I love when the camera pulls back at the wrestling event and we see all of this wrestler's antics are for an empty crowd
Ferrari went through every range of emotion. He even had time to hit the good ol double bird while doing the splits at the same time. That dude is going place, i'm not sure where, but it'll be somewhere!
He'd be perfect for the WWE
Prison. Hes probably going to prison.
Congress
the sportsmanship on that wrestling guy. classy
That wrestler will get his when he gets beat by Penn State!
That's the correct take
He has to be on a team first for that to happen.
0:10 Never expected to see a Mario Hezonja highlight again
I would say I hate the call, but I also hate this guy so I'm not mad lmao. Like cmon ref that's a tough call, especially to decide the match! He clear wasn't intentionally hitting the ref, but couldn''t have happened to a better person
So it's ok for him to hit the other wrestler? He should be disqualified for striking, regardless of who it hit.
@@dockspringfield1213that was a clear cut case. For sure dq that guy cause he's trying to be a jerk. But I feel like there's a lot of grey area there. Guys get heated in contact sports. It's not the end of the world to me if you're a little chippy after the whistle. Maybe docking some points would be a better penaltly
@@t_ylr This is wrestling, not the UFC. The aim is to control your opponent, not hurt your opponent. In order to be good at controlling someone else, you first need to be able to control yourself. Self-discipline and treating your opponent with respect, especially after you just won, is a key part of the sport. The ref wasn't just calling an unsportsmanlike conduct, he upgraded the call to a flagrant misconduct. It wasn't because he hit the ref, it's because he swung at all that he was DQd.
@@loganleroy8622 ah gotcha. I'm not into wrestling but that actually makes sense. Discipline helps with any sport but it's kinda badass that the refs penalize you for being undisciplined haha. My mentality from other sports is that I hate to see the refs decide the outcome or get super strict with judgement calls in a huge moment
I would not have expected womens hockey to be so badass, but damn. Speed, brutality, and skills. Waaay more interesting that mens baseball, golf, basketball. Good for those Canucks.
