Same. it's such a pain having to juggle mods with how little space they give us. I heard a while back that they've been reluctant to update the storage limit because it would mean wiping everyone's mod lists.

@@themanwithnoname1839 - "Putting off a fresh run of F4 for a long time now" kinda implies they HAVE finished the game (at least once) and are looking for an excuse to do it over again? Plus F4 can eat up your time building settlements and role playing or just playing it as a modded sandbox shooter. It's actually quite easy to pour hours into the game without even bothering much with the main quest story about Sean etc. Same goes for Skyrim. You keep going back into them and finding new things to do or explore. You could use that 'have not finished the story' argument against Ghost Recon Wildlands or Breakpoint or the Far Cry series where people often just play them as sandbox shooters and ignore the main story quests as much as possible.
I'm guessing many many COD players never finish the single player campaign mode and just immerse themselves into the online component regardless of how good that story might be. Y'know?
The value of a game is in how much time you put into it and how long it lives in your mind rent free...LOL

I was really hoping this update would be more in line with the skyrim anniversary edition/upgrade plus some of the take aways updates the got from starfield like 60+ fps support for pc. guess we can hope we get a 10 year anniversary edition next year
Yeah. This was probably a precursor to that. That update will give us even more creation club content, plus all of it for free. And a complete conversion of fallout 4 --> the starfield engine + it’ll be a physical copy for $65
Part of me hoped a bit for the Special Edition 2016 treatment. Seems like that won't be the case. But with how nasty Boston was, I'm not too upset with that.

@@theconmantube3449 as someone who sung their praises for years just to be let down repeatedly by their horrible writing and shitty business practices. No, no I can not. When they decide to actually start giving the fans what they want and listening to us, then sure I'll be all for it.
Never could get into the fallout universe until 2 years ago with 4 and ended up having an awesome experience just chilling. Ended up trying 76 last year and I put 250 hours in now and it’s a really good experience with a friend. Just chilling, exploring and getting as many plans for my base was super enjoyable. Yeah it’s got some issues but it’s also got a chill vibe with plenty to do if you wanna just explore and have a relaxing night. Besides 2 really bizarre encounters with randoms that were super toxic, 76 has the best community in any game I’ve ever played. People will give u tons of stuff like stims, ammo, weapons and armor especially if they see you’re new/low level. And if you don’t want to engage with anyone, they’ll leave you be. It took me a while to get into the fallout universe, but now that I have, I can’t get enough of it. The themes and stories are definitely worth giving another try if it never resonated with you the first time like it did for me
I hope they fix the bug that's going on rn. You can play the based game on ps, but if you add any of the dlc, it won't let you play. Hope that's not an issue for the next gen-update

Gotta say, for how long it took them to release this update, I was kind of expecting there to be... more. Stability and frames are great, love to hear about bug fixes, but for the time they took on this update it feels a bit lackluster. Hopefully I'll feel different once we get a full change log.
They should have added WAY more. As in graphical updates, ray traced lighting/shadows/reflections, more detailed textures etc.
I really didn’t expect anything special, tho it is still disappointing how little they’re delivering with how long it took to release. All I wanted was stability because it runs like absolute doodoo on console. Idk how I tolerated playing it back then.

Yeah, the Witcher 3 next gen update I'm currently playing looks so good with ray tracing. Makes it look almost like a recent release. Having a blast.
But since my FO4 is heavily modded I don't care. Ultra wide is nice and would be very welcome because I game on UW now, but I expect this update to break all mods so I won't even download it. Bethesda can shove Creation Club up their asses. Starfield broke me, I have zero expectations of Bethesda at this point. I'm done with them.
its literally just fallout 4 with ultrawide. cant imagine Bethesda fixed anything that the unofficial patch didn't already fix. This is just BGS being BGS and trying to sell the same game for the umpteenth time. I'm not mad at em but lets not call this a next-gen update.

Yes , but there are soo much mods out there , like owing a vertibird , crafting ammo etc etc soonmuch things that even make it better . Mods like dialogue overhaul , holsters , tents , campfires etc

My only wish for the PC update, was untied FPS from the physics engine. I know I can use mods to do that, but would've been easier if they already did it. Either way, probably gonna lose myself in the Commonwealth again soon.
For anyone on Steam, just to be sure the game doesn't update, you can change the root folder name and Steam won't be able to update (Such as "Fallout 4 Modded") , you can still run the game if you create a shortcut on your taskbar or the desktop, just don't try to boot up from Steam directly.
Can also turn off to update when launching game, and run f4se instead and it will bypass the fallout 4 launcher.
I was expecting more of a re release like they did 50 times with skyrim, new enhancements, better textures ect but im happy theres just something coming to fallout 4. Fallout 76 just didnt give me that fix and iv been waiting to dive back into fallout since the annoucment of the update

My friends *might have* heard of the tv show but they sure as hell don’t know anything about the game update so it’s not likely to boost the show’s views.
Yeah just all marketing , they could have easily released this last year like they were originally going to do but since the show was on the horizon there ya go. Doesn’t even seem like they made any graphical changes just upped the resolutions and the framerate that’s about it.. which is kinda disappointing

I'm glad it's happening. The game already had FPS boost, but it was at 1080p. Not sure what resolution it will be in in the 60fps mode in this update. I acknowledge there are some other improvements in the update.

I got XOne and the description (from official page) is a bit unclear - do we get DLC + those few fixes or just fixes and the DLC is exclusive for next-gen and PC?

There’s a mod on Xbox where you can use ultra PC settings and 60fps and even change your FOV

The sets and most effects were good. Some of the story is bad with some bad actors too. To many cringe things that weren't in the Fallout games and probably would have ruined the series for most.

I am so stoked. I never finished Fallout 4 and have been waiting for this to start a new game. Even more into it after watching some of the new show. It is surprising good.
Now we need to know if they are going to fix the issue with the dialog if you have a high refresh rate monitor cause the engine causes lip synch issues and more.

PC Next Gen Update: Wide-Ultrawide display support for PC. That was so difficult to do that they had to delay its launch for more than 1 year. Damn those who use that type of display!

And the whole story is off for how dark the fallout stories/ lore/ universe should be.
If Mr. Howard waited for the right director for a movie/ series for ages, as he said himself, he should jus hired Gulleirmo del Toro.

4:51 Wow for a moment I thought we got a 2 player coop story mode for Fallout 4, man fallout multiplayer should have been a coop mode for Fallout 4 not the Fallout 76 we got.
It'd be nice, but i really don't think there would be any way that the game engine could handle it the way the game is programmed. Look at how many modders have already given up on Starfield.
@@IDPhotoMan You're aware that fallout 76, an massive multiplayer online MMO game, is on the creation engine right? If they wanted to, they could make a co-op fallout game without any sort of tech-restraints from their engine. It's not a bad engine. It's a good engine for the types of games they do.
Also there's not even been a mod kit out for starfield yet. Some may not want to mod it if they just dont like the game but its not an engine limitation. The creation engine can handle multiplayer just fine, hell it has origins as an online-engine...
@@Blackfatrat You're aware that fallout 76 is structured way different than Fallout 4, right? There are limits to everything with 76, including graphical as well as storage, building, all that. I've been a day one player of 76, and yes it's better, but Single player games are just different. Look at Starfield. The modders said absolutely screw it when trying to do multiplayer.
@@IDPhotoMan Theres really no reason Bethesda couldnt make multiplayer in Starfield. Just make it so you have to be within a certain distance of eachother and on the same planet. Thats it. If a modder doesnt like Starfield enough to want to mod it, thats his choice but its not an engine limitiation. It can be a MOD KIT limitiation, but it's a limitiation within the actual engine.

If I start a new play through now will it work with the update or should I just wait? My brother died little over a year ago and he would have been all over this so as a tribute to him I am going to play through the whole game and dlc.
I am just so relieved. FO4 is one of my favorite games of all times and so this means alot to me
It’s crazy that it has taken an entire company to do what some individuals and small groups of modders achieved years ago.
What is really going to piss current players off is the following;
- mods no longer compatible
- graphics are either not on par or better than what can already be achieved with one or two mods (mods that only change graphics or visuals)
- mods no longer compatible and the game looks and plays worse
- shit load of bugs that break or possibly crash the game (they don’t deserve any excuses, its been 10 years)

anyone have any solutions to creation club items not downloading at all? ive been trying to find a solution but like 90% of the things ive purchased dont do anything when i click download i dont see any option to confirm. 1st time i tried to "Download all" nothing happened, but when i click 1 by 1 and spam download some download but others dont... i was playing fallout perfectly fine yesterday very peacefully and now i cant use any of my creation club items... ill keep trying.

I’ve already platinum trophied Fallout 4 Matty. I have no reason to return to the Commonwealth unless you add in some new trophies to earn. Fallout 4 was my first platinum trophy I earned on my PS4 account btw.

I’m thrilled to hop back into Fallout 4. Just finished the series and it delivered. Planning to rewatch it all this weekend. The ending was a chefs kiss can’t wait to see your reaction to it!!

it's an episode where Lucy is in vault 4 and there is a date for when shady sands was destroyed 2277 New vegas takes place in 2281, so shady sands happened before the events of new vegas which retcons the whole game and even the first battle for the dam before new vegas starts, this also causes problems with some of the credit and intro scenes that show vegas. So was the ncr ever there? The vegas events shouldn't have happened. Plus house is in the show too, and it sort of changes how he knew the great war was coming....there's some other stuff but it's open ended enough to not ruin existing lore

So they decided to release it on my birthday. I saw this update may also fix the login issue, I haven't been able to get in the mods menu for over a month now on the Series X, but kept getting the $CreateAccount Bnet Data Not Found... And I can get into the website no problem...
The game already runs silky smooth on my Series X. I’ll be curious to see what the improved resolution looks like. I’m in VATs like 60% of my gameplay so 60fps is cool, but not necessary. As long as it holds up I’ll be playing in quality mode.
As we expected, an update that required the least effort possible.
I just want a remastered fallout 3 or new vegas. Those games have so many problems on pc. They need to be fixed more than fallout 4...
On series x , there was a mod that had it running at 60fps and some mods to enhance the graphics. I wonder how much better this will be ?

When they announced that like a year and a half ago I immediately downloaded it in preparation. It was sitting on my SSD for ages, all throughout the radio silence. I deleted it to free up space. I don’t think I can be bothered to care enough to download it all over again now.

@@infrared6973 The main appeal is obviously people on current gen consoles or pc that have never played Fallout 4 before. Especially to fans who may be new to Fallout as a whole trough the series. This spurces up the game some, bringing it a little more in line with modern expectations, and makes the fallout series easier to get into for new fans.
Doesnt matter how long ps5 haa been out no one cares about ps5 players or what they have to say.

Will the new "Enclave Remannt" content also be available on PS4 and XBONE?

Great to see the new update finally dropping for Fallout 4, but my worry is the CC stuff breaking the game (0kb issue), so I won’t be downloading any of that stuff. Just want the game to run smoothly and not freeze or crash while in Boston area 🤞. Guess we will all be playing vanilla game only till mods are fixed for new update 😢

My #1 desire is that they've bumped up the mod limit on Xbox above 2GB. Else i won't be able to add anything. ;-)
Unfortunately Bethesda already said that wasn't going to happen. They claimed that it would break and corrupt modded playthroughs. Even though their random small updates already does that every time.

My second of 2 playthroughs of F4 was in survival mode. It was 5 years ago. I remember survival mode being an awesome experience. Looking forward to return for a 3rd run.
I’m in the middle of survival but can never go into DT Boston without the game crashing to this day
Very disappointing information and an enclave quest chain that demonizes the enclave again. Destroy the enclave again. Nice we all wanted this.. Bethesda is just the new Ubisoft at this point.

Does anyone else have an issue on steam where fo4 and Skyrim just don't have sound. I have original Skyrim and legendary edition. About one second of sound then nothing. I check online n get no where. Does anyone have any advice?

Did I miss it Matty said he was going to talk about how it was going to break mods? Will the game just be an update or a whole new thing in the sense of you can still play OG Fallout 4 and the update?
