Fallout 76 is more tedious with your character getting hungry, thirsty, sick. Your weapons and armor breaking. Not to mention everything you carry weights. For some moronic reason traveling cost caps. You can't wear some armor or use some guns until you reach certain level.
One thing I'm surprised going unmentioned is how different the gunplay "feel" is between games. Yes, I realize 76 is online, but the way they did their netcode means every action ,especially shooting has this delay. You get used to it after awhile, but then going offline to FO4 the difference is night and day - guns are "snappy" and "crisp" again, everything happens immediately instead of feeling like you're "swimming in a sludge".

76 has the less toxic community then any other game i ever played. They love helping out noobs, easy to get along with and to become friends. The atmosphere online wise is the least toxic one i have ever encounter its nothing like gta online or most online games. They have very good system going onn well thought out and heart warming community on there that wants you and other players to stay and keep playing 76.
Played fallout 76 for 1-2 hours and deleted it… just not for me. Played fo3-never beat, new Vegas-couldn’t put it down till I beat it in 1 day, fo4-got addicted to it and will always be my favorite.
Fallout 4 is a good game, that being said it is the weakest of the modern fallouts, the only benefit is that there are mods on console. Even as a solo experience 76 is a better game.
Fallout 76 was the first Fallout I played. I have played the others since. About the lack of NPCs in the beginning...It made sense at the time. It made sense that the NPCs arrived later. I liked the experience and when it started getting old....BAM!!! Wastelanders update. I think a lot of the hate was due to that change in the game for veteran players. All this time later I agree it's better with the NPCs. All the bugs at launch...yeah that sucked
I would not agree that 76 should be someone's first experience in the fallout universe. The world itself doesn't feel representative of what fallout is about. The systems are all very different. It could be too much for a new person. I disagree
They are both good for different reasons but for Fallout newbies, I suggest 4 every time. That said, if you can play 76 with friends it's a banger for wuite a while.
Yeah that's a pretty slanted view of those games in favor of F4. F76 is an mmorpg. Constant content, contually changing is easily the one reason among many I have to favor 76. Multi-player is also pretty damn cool. The content can be very challenging in 76 and is rewarding not only because of the challenge but also because of the loot. The loot actually matters in 76. You need good gear. In Fallout 4, I can run around and stealth kill everyone with a plastic knife, lol. I never found Fallout 4, even remotely challenging. The main story is ok, but the side quests are pointless. Honestly.. the main thing is really that once you beat 4, it's not as fun to run around it again. You end up using mods and basically fall off. 76 keeps being fresh. And the starting at lvl 20 thing is for advanced players creating alts. We don't need the intro shit.
Jumped into 76 after the show. Loved 3 and 4... I played 76 as a level 1 start, part of the fun is leveling up - so to start at 20 I felt was a bit like cheating. As for being forced to play with others - not true! I didn't do one event until I was past level 30 and even now I just enjoy roaming the lands doing the main quest line, side quests and daily quests. If an event pops up and I want to go, I go - but it's not necessary. To me it's a super fun single player game with the option to go join others if I want.
The multiplayer aspect is something that Fallout really needed, but 76 is still an incredibly scuffed game in 2024. Definitely below the singleplayer games just because of that.
You really should play Fallout 1, then maybe 2, then play 3, NV, 4, A lot of hours but if you beat all the main quests in each game it helps a lot with the storyline of the show, If not watch someone play through it or read the main bits of lore you need.
Fallout 3 was the first and best open world Fallout experience. The story is just far and away better written and back in 2008, the game was revolutionary for the time.
I wish fallout 76 did the perks a tad better, instead of having to stack say rifle man perk with expert rifleman, they should’ve just had one of those like previous titles and upgrade it, it really takes up a lot of your special space
I seriously don't get how people say fallout 4 is hard? its such an easy game even on very hard/survival.. I need to download so many mods to actually make it challenging.. am I the only one??
@@ObitoFitzgerald-dr9gvthe sarcasm flew over you I see. If you notice in the video he says that Fallout 4 was made for PS3/X360 and they had to hold back on the PS4 version because of that. Which is completely false.
I respect this!! Def gives you that different experience we never got with 3, NV or 4. It’s fun and different but the depth of the storyline in 3, NV and 4 is always so amazing to me
I literally don't know anyone who plays 76. But I have got at least a dozen friends who play Vegas three and four or the OG. I guess it depends on your age. I'm not a tween so I guess 76 isn't up my alley.

On paper the no NPCs makes sense. It's only 25 years after a catastrophic nuclear holocaust...not many people would be alive. However, it was botched horribly.
I like fallout 76, but it feels like just a world to walk around and shoot or build things... No big missions to do with friends, no campaign. If you're going to let players take over the world, why not let us build cities or rebuild old towns as a community. Even after a town is built its not going to be fun unless you can establish trade government and a military and wage war against a rival faction. Games keep making their game like a life simulator, but keep forgetting we play games because life is boring. Im playing fallout 4 and the only reason im engaged is because of a story otherwise id be walking around collecting random stuff and loosing my mind that the game isn't multiplayer so i cant really say either one is amazing i like both.
(Note I haven’t finished fallout 4 and I have played fallout76)It really depends if you want a more story experience (fallout4) if you want a Minecraft experience then get fallout 76
@@TheJudgementofDog Yep Stimpaks and the armor sets. The ones I have put on display in the CAMP count toward your stash limit so it doesn't even want to do that without Fallout 1st. The one thing that keeps me from going back to Fallout 4 is weapon degradation.
@@jawsvvvvv It's not even weapon degradation that bothers me. It's putting repair kits behind a pay wall that burns me up. I know that you can use regular resources to do it, but it's the principal for me.
time line is off. you dont wake up 200+ years after your son is taken. thats the overall time you were in cryo, but sean gets taken just 50-60 years before you come out of cryo.
Both games are great with many similarities and differences. I played the crud out of both and enjoy them closely evenly. BUT I give one extra point to F4 because I personally find games with the weapon/armor deterioration mechanic annoying.
76 is fun but honestly F4 is way better. Mainly because F4 has RPG choices(with different outcomes & reactions after the ending), plenty of amazing dialogue with NPC‘s, companions you can travel with(with interesting backstories and quests), you can actually save your game, you can keep playing even though the Wi-Fi is out, and the main story doesn’t feel repetitive. That was my main complaint with 76. The idea of the scorched was interesting, but the execution with gameplay was infuriating. Too much back-and-forth & all of it is online.
If your looking for the online experience 76 obviously and fallout 4 obviously for the single player experience other than that no friends don’t even bother with 76 and if you do it’s really only fun for new players as most new content is quickly done multiple times on launch day
Fallout 4 NEEDS a loot all, like in fallout 76, its really annoying when you kill a lot of enemies and had to slowly go, loot each one of them, one at a time
Still think New Vegas is miles better than both 4 and 76, even more with hardcore mode on and playing on very difficult. That said, I still enjoy a lot 4 in Survival Mode and the challenge and immersion the game mode brings, and 76 when I just want to turn my brain off and shoot stuff with fellow vault dwellers.
Ive been playing both recently more 4 than 76 but thats because i just prefer the gameplay, hud and design but font let that stop you from playing any game

76 has the less toxic community then any other game i ever played. They love helping out noobs, easy to get along with and to become friends. The atmosphere online wise is the least toxic one i have ever encounter its nothing like gta online or most online games. They have very good system going onn well thought out and heart warming community on there that wants you and other players to stay and keep playing 76.
this is true. i love that the game have donation boxes and those boxes almost always have useful stuff in them
Played fallout 76 for 1-2 hours and deleted it… just not for me.
Played fo3-never beat, new Vegas-couldn’t put it down till I beat it in 1 day, fo4-got addicted to it and will always be my favorite.
I gave it three solid days and just couldn’t the missions where long af for no pay out I’m good rather go save another settlement lol
Wimps!
Ofc your favorite fallout is the easiest most non rpg fallout to date lol
Non rpg fallout? lol wtf
After the show I started with fo4 for my first time and yea, I've been completely addicted
11:53 "and the community is very friendly and welcoming you in public events"
*mad cosmonaut tries to slaughter you with his laundry beater*
MRags Gaming, amazing
Fallout 4 runs Incredibly smoothly... are you serious?
Fallout 4 is better in my opinion but the graphics and the fps can be smoother.
I just realize a fallout game disc is equal to the blast radius bored game found in game. Imagine finding one and just realizing the irony
I've been blown away by how much Boosteroid has improved my gaming
man get your reviews organized !!!
I would not agree that 76 should be someone's first experience in the fallout universe. The world itself doesn't feel representative of what fallout is about. The systems are all very different. It could be too much for a new person. I disagree
Facts, either 1/2 or fo4. Nv is later because save the bst for the last
They are both good for different reasons but for Fallout newbies, I suggest 4 every time.
That was a good breakdown, iv played all except 76 & this was an informative vid, thank u
I play both fallout 4 by myself and fallout 76 with friends and as well as by myself
I love Fallout 76 but I'm sick of paying for Gamepass and Fallout 1st so I just bought Fallout 4 on sale. I hope I like it 🤞
I wish they do a Fallout 2 Remake. I like to see Sulik talking about his ancestor again XD
Having to play online for 76 cripples it compared to 4. And if you’re not on PC, get ready to pay a subscription fee. No thanks
The multiplayer aspect is something that Fallout really needed, but 76 is still an incredibly scuffed game in 2024. Definitely below the singleplayer games just because of that.
No it’s not
actually the skill based optional dialogues in 76 is similar to new vegas.
Fallout 4 + mods = crazy fun.
You really should play Fallout 1, then maybe 2, then play 3, NV, 4, A lot of hours but if you beat all the main quests in each game it helps a lot with the storyline of the show, If not watch someone play through it or read the main bits of lore you need.
despite smaller in size, i like 4's map and world much more
Easy fallout 4 as it's single player offline so no extra cost to play
Fallout 3 was the first and best open world Fallout experience. The story is just far and away better written and back in 2008, the game was revolutionary for the time.
Both are masterpieces in their genre
I wish fallout 76 did the perks a tad better, instead of having to stack say rifle man perk with expert rifleman, they should’ve just had one of those like previous titles and upgrade it, it really takes up a lot of your special space
Who be naming there son Sean
What next gen graphics is he talking about?. On my pc it looks the same like before the update
For new gen consoles lol
He's lying
I seriously don't get how people say fallout 4 is hard? its such an easy game even on very hard/survival.. I need to download so many mods to actually make it challenging.. am I the only one??
Nah you’re not alone brother
Yea it's really easy especially at a high level
Fallout 4, next question!
Would love to see Fallout 4 on the PS3/X360 videos since you know it never was made for those consoles.
Too broke for a newer gen console?
@@ObitoFitzgerald-dr9gvthe sarcasm flew over you I see. If you notice in the video he says that Fallout 4 was made for PS3/X360 and they had to hold back on the PS4 version because of that. Which is completely false.
Answer = Fallout 4
I'm feeling it too
disagree!
Saved me from 15 min
I like fallout 4
Ngl if it had a longer story or more dlc and you could add friends it would be the best fallout game
For me personally, after playing 3, NV and 4, I'd say I love FO76 the best because of the MP aspect.
@@Shoelessjoe78I’m only 24 and 76 isn’t that good to me
Hey mano és pt? Wow incrível ver um creador de conteúdo com um projeto em inglês muita coragem! Parabéns. Por causa da serie tenho andado de roda dos jogos de fallou mas nao sei qual escolher para jogar 😅
What’s the song you used in the background?
I just miss how you can become evil in the older fallouts can't do that in 4
On paper the no NPCs makes sense. It's only 25 years after a catastrophic nuclear holocaust...not many people would be alive. However, it was botched horribly.
👇 OG fallout 4 fans
Fallout 4 wasn’t on Xbox 360 or PS3
Forget the video what yall think ? 4 or 76 ? Never played them or any fallout game but after watching the show im READY to buy a fallout game?
fallout 4 did not come out on xbox 360 , research?
You compare a single player experience with an online multiplayer experience and its monetization scheme.
I have gotten into fallout 76 but, then your stash hits limit and you feel like the game stops.
I ran out of stimpaks. When I try to go farm materials to make them, well, let's just say it's a huge PITA.
I play 76 more just because I love getting on with my friends
As a new player, 76 feels way too outdated vs 4. Gameplay is much more immersive on 4 as well.
time line is off. you dont wake up 200+ years after your son is taken. thats the overall time you were in cryo, but sean gets taken just 50-60 years before you come out of cryo.
Looting and scavenging is the bread and butter of fallout thats the point lol
The story should be but it's not
Both games are great with many similarities and differences.
If your looking for the online experience 76 obviously and fallout 4 obviously for the single player experience other than that no friends don’t even bother with 76 and if you do it’s really only fun for new players as most new content is quickly done multiple times on launch day
Fallout 4 NEEDS a loot all, like in fallout 76, its really annoying when you kill a lot of enemies and had to slowly go, loot each one of them, one at a time
I love the multiplayer of Fallout 76 but Fallout 4 is by far the superior game.
What I don't like about 76 is weapon/armor condition. You can't just play, you need always repair something... Also it feels less dynamic than 4
u cant compare an mmorp game over a campaign game and thats why they brought 76 for mmorpg experience so nothing to compares
If you’re playing fallout 4 for the first time just put the difficulty on easy… I think there’s a very easy option too!
Increase it the higher your level
Fallout 76 all day long! i love fallout 4 but i prefer 76 way bigger more to do and with friends such a fun to play :)
Ive been playing both recently more 4 than 76 but thats because i just prefer the gameplay, hud and design but font let that stop you from playing any game
I just put 270hrs into Fallout 4 and then 270hrs into Fallout 76. Now I'm sick of Fallout. 😂 Still love the concept and g;ad I played through them, but uninstalled them both to get my life back.
I tried fallout 4 when it came out and couldn't get into it , tried it recently and its pretty decent
Did you try it after the new next gen update? It’s even better
@@MRags I downloaded it the day before the update and it was so buggy it was ridiculous but after the update it was less buggy but not perfect , can't complain got it for $5
Fallout 4 is better in every way. Fallout 76 is riddled with a horrendous amount of graphical bugs such as shadows and lighting popping in and out, taa blurring graphics and causing ghosting, textures looking like literal oil paint/playdough. Just play fallout 4. The performance of fo76 is completely bonked.
You wake from the vault 200 years later to find your son?! Wouldn’t he be dead haha
He was stolen like 160 years in
He was stolen some 160 years in, so when you wake up and find him, he'll be like 40
Dumbest question since Bambi vs. Godzilla. Fallout 4 is 100% better than 76.
sorry to disagree
76 is an offense to God. In over 30 years playing, Fallout 76 was the biggest scam I suffered.
BF4 WAS WORSE
If only 4 and 76 had twins wow wow
Wait! You're Portuguese??
10:00 I cannot agree at all sadly. For me 76 is harder than 4 and 3 and the bit of NV I did play (NV was very dull and boring). I also prefer multiplayer coop lol
You could’ve never played fo1 and fo2
Dang dude do 5 seconds of research before a video.
nice bandana :)
Imagine if Rockstar made Fallout
